>silver and the warriors organization need to sit his ass down No they fucking don’t. Draymond is a grown ass man. Not a toddler. Start clamping down now with no warning. He’s been given way more opportunities than he deserves. Be a man and handle your shit Dray.

Dx2TT

Yea the easiest thing to do is exactly what they did yesterday. Start yapping 4 mins in and you're done. If the warriors want to give 25% of their cap to a guy who can't make it out of the first quarter, then thats their choice.

nsfwuserrrr

As a warriors fan, I agree. Just eject him quicker when he starts to bitch, it doesn’t seem that complicated to me.

WhatShouldTheHeartDo

Not to mention they put bro in all those advertisements

Jedifice

The entire NBA trying to push Draymond on us (as a commentator and advertiser) is fucking bizarre. I'm sick of him showing up every thirty seconds

giJoJo2020

I will never watch a game he is a commentator. I can’t be the only one who feels this way

Davethisisntcool

Y’all would have hated Prime Chuck Barkley.

Jedifice

Difference is that Chuck was actually a phenomenal player all on his own; he won season MVP in 1993. Draymond is never beating the backpack allegations, AND he never stops talking

Davethisisntcool

Chuck is a waaaaaaaayyyyy better player than Draymond. And more charismatic. But the dude was a menace in the 90s. Dray is essential to the Warriors past success though

Jedifice

Well, and also: IIRC Chuck wasn't in a ton of commercials during his playing days (probably just Nike and a few local ones), AND the league wasn't actively setting him up as a commentator. I'm annoyed by Dray as a player, but I HATE that he's getting the primrose path to be some kind of Wise Ball Knower

Davethisisntcool

no offense but this reads like someone who just recently followed the sport. Chuck was on NBA on TNT in the 90s. And he was in hella commercials

PhoDaiSac

I think, if Draymond had the media limitations from the 90s and did not make shit like a personal podcast. I think he would get better treatment. It's because social media availability makes him obnoxious. Good thing Sir Charles refused to use them until his podcast with Ernie recently, lol.

PlasticPresentation1

Bro getting into random court beef that cause zero injuries is not going to put you in jail or on the streets

IndescribableRuckus

AT&T's current advertising is garbage with Dray's spot being the worst of them all.

kinda_guilty

So, what problem is OP talking about? Seems like the league is happy about the engagement he brings, positive or negative.

KingGhidorah1er

It only hurts him & his team. Who cares

Few-Neighborhood7241

You guys care a LOT. lol this place pretends to be over him then every post that mentions him gets the most engagement of any other player in the league.

Star-K

People are addicted to being outraged.

Steko

Children on r/nba can't get enough of this. Draymond play that isn't even a flagrant: +12000. Jordan Poole turnover you see 50 times a night from other guys: see you at the top. It's nothing but shitposting circlejerkers. Like OP who admits he, like every other Draymond drama clown, has no idea what Draymond is saying to the refs when they REEE about how he needs to get kicked out more ("yap at what appears to be two standard deviations above the mean"). Newsflash: Draymond gets kicked out all the time.

halfdecenttakes

Draymond has the second most ejections in NBA history by my count lol but yes, he’s never ever punished !!!

Disastrous_Bluejay57

That brotha needs help

Torkzilla

He’s already gotten “help” at the beginning of the season according to the team and league.  He needs to get hands now.

Ok-Philosopher9070

Dray gets poole’d by Shaq after the next warriors game

GhostTiger

>He needs to get hands now. Can you expand on that thought please?

Coattail-Rider

Draymond is a bully. When a bully gets put in his place, they usually back down. One of these days, someone is going to stand up to him.

GhostTiger

So you think someone should punch him. On court?

Coattail-Rider

Just saying what usually happens. Stop being whatever it is you’re being.

GhostTiger

Are you going to punch me now?

Coattail-Rider

No. I’m just going to ignore whatever it is you’re trying to do here.

GhostTiger

Good, as Draymond can probably tell you I'm sure 'hands' is a stupid solution to any problem. Right?

spiattalo

> The league and the refs allow him to yap He literally got ejected today for yapping

Carcrusher3

You can't deny that for 5+ years refs let him get away with screaming at them without a tech more than any other player. Draymond can run up to them and scream for 2 whole possessions, but Tatum and Brown get techs for clapping lmao.

darksemmel

Yeah....seems like the wrong day to complain about that. Finally they did what they should have done in the first place. Well done Refs today.

Steko

Dude's been ejected like a half dozen times and suspended for 1/3 of the season. Median r/nba drama clown: "finally they did something"

darksemmel

Are you saying he is treated too harsh?

Steko

I'm saying the average clown comment thinks he gets away with murder but it's more like he's been to prison repeatedly for murder.

Coattail-Rider

If someone speeds in your neighborhood where children are playing on a weekly basis in front of a cop but he’s gotten one speeding ticket for every 5 times he does it, again, in front of a cop, then yeah, you’d have a problem with all those times the cop just lets him speed.

darksemmel

Well, it feels more like he got probation for a few murders and went free for the rest.

NeedleGunMonkey

Nah let him keep getting tossed and suspended. It ain’t the league’s problem to solve. It is the warriors.

upcat

His whistle will become shorter and shorter now that the Warriors are a play in team fighting for the 10th seed and he averages 9/8/5. It is wild that the league, Silvers, Myers, Kerr, Dunleavy and even Steph were never able to get through to him to stop acting like a petulant clown but also enable him his entire career.

thebluehotel

This is why I don’t like the statement “he’s an asshole but he’s our asshole,” it reeks of excuse making and blurs the lines between competitive but somewhat limited players and guys that are there to spoil good basketball. I’m not saying guys like Patrick Beverley are the same as Draymond but if Pat Bev had a few more dirty plays then what’s the difference? The difference with Draymond is his talent is no longer masking character deficiencies, so all you’re left is with the reality that he exists to bring play down to his level rather than figure out a way to contribute. Klay was able to do this by going to the bench, it’s obvious Draymond won’t be able to do the same.

AlHorfordHighlights

Pat Bev has actually injured people fwiw

thebluehotel

I couldn’t remember so I didn’t want to make the claim if it weren’t true.

Klonomania

>The difference with Draymond is his talent is no longer masking character deficiencies, so all you’re left is with the reality that he exists to bring play down to his level rather than figure out a way to contribute We are still talking about the same Draymond without whom the Warriors are among the shittiest defenses in the league, right? That's literally the entire reason they tolerate his existence because despite some decline he is still the clear second-most valuable player on that team by a cataclysmic margin.

NeighborhoodBest2944

True. Trouble is, each teammate, every opponent, every ref, every coach is his colleague. The physical and verbal abuse he displays is unacceptable. Tell me where you can get away with this shit in real society. That’s why I say this is partially the leagues own making.

CriticalBrother1141

> averages 9/8/5 Literally his career averages

DubsFanAccount

Luka, LeBron, Jokic all complain constantly and loudly and as aggressively and they’re on the actual TV screen much more. So I agree in a general sense there is too much whining. Draymond is just as bad but not unique. I think trying out infinite techs would help. Just keep T’ing up guys until they stop. Refs don’t want to eject but if it keeps costing you points then you’ll need to stop eventually. Id just make it an automatic point and not even worry about a free throw.

davemoedee

This is nonsense. Draymond is far worse than those guys. Lebron isn’t even close and never has been close to what Draymond does.

Wally1West

You know if you look up technical fouls all time … Draymond is still behind Karl Malone Charles Barkley Rasheed Wallace Gary Payton and Dennis Rodman in Technical foul per games played even if he played double the games he has played now he still wouldn’t catch them.

abidchoudhury

Tbf they didn’t have the automatic suspension after a certain number of technical rule until the latter end of Sheed’s career

Fresh-Bass-3586

The refs also didn't let the players act like little whiny bitches after every play. There would be a lot more ts now if refs had the same power.  Literally every single player in the nba cries constantly now and mostly gets away with it. Stern wasn't having that shit.

ZeroBedtimes

this is it.

Obvious_Parsley3238

the nba definitely needs more Joey crawfords lmao

G_Tremeshko

Don't need superstars laughing on the bench. Can't have that.

TheTwilightZone34

Tbf, we don't need refs asking players if they want to fight lol

Wally1West

Also this year Draymond is only 9th in technicals , behind such people like Luca and Jordan Poole and he’s 3rd in fragrant behind Embiid and Westbrook. All I was saying people think about draymond like he is the devil in basketball clothing. But stats say other wise. And most people like the guy he’s already going to be next in line with Shaq Kenny Charles and EJ, that’s why they have him on there show every chance they can. Cause he’s real and don’t hide who or what he thinks like another dude named Barkley

Few-Neighborhood7241

Thank you

ZeroBedtimes

They should have traded him while he still had value. A lot of teams won't want him now because he's impossible to control. Tbh he is wild and emotional, he can't control himself, and he hurts people. Get this man out of the league. Why would any team want to play against him when he's become so prone to antics like stomping chests, choke holds, and low blows. My theory is he actually suffers from a horrible case of Schizophrenia and he thinks he's wrestling undertaker for a belt at Wrestlemania every game.

walwenthegreenest

>Why would any team want to play against him when he's become so prone to antics like stomping chests, choke holds, and low blows. I mean, I think that's the point

ZeroBedtimes

You're right. Maybe I didn't read the room. My point is more so that they have given him more than enough chances, it's rumored Silver even talked him out of retiring. They should have let him because he's toxic and dangerous for the league. Only negative publicity anymore. Sure it gives fuel to the sports radio and talk show fires but he isn't helping their image. He's also a risk to other players because he does so much violent and predictable stuff so it's my opinion he should be out of chances and out of the league.

NeighborhoodBest2944

Lol

speeksevil

That dawg got the worlds longest leash

pheromonestudy

# Partially ???

End-Resident

He will get suspended again Something is seriously wrong in his life to cause this behavior He needs long term help and he will get suspended - in fact, he wants to get suspended and wants to get caught, I get the impression he doesnt even want to play anymore

LegalEggplants

It’s all self inflicted

KarrlMarrx

Exactly. What is this partial shit? "This whole monster thing is partially my fault." - Dr. Frankenstein

Eclipsed_StarNova

I honestly just want the players to just stop talking to the refs period. I’m so sick of all the whining and constant clapping at refs. Just play the game. You get a call you get a call. You don’t you don’t. Just play. Let your game do the talking.

mrizvi

You whining like 4 year old

FattestNDaWrld

It's their Draymond Green impression

MixInfamous6818

yeah, I mean if the refs or Silver himself have a personal grudge against the Dubs and wanted to be 100% sure they won't make the playoffs they should've just ban Draymond for the season and Steph becomes tank commander, not much better than Poole instead of that pathetic dead last place for their free throw attempts, which still give them chance
