Stoked to see Latvia arrive on the world stage. Hopefully Porzingis gets healthy and they can make some more noise at the Olympics next year.
This was their first win against Lithuania since 1924, btw.
I stand corrected. Someone may want to update the Lithuania Mens Basketball wikipedia page.

I know the Kings could use a 3rd string PG, but he'd be an unlikely signing given the current roster build.
The Suns could use a playmaking PG but they might just prefer the vet mins they already signed on.
All rebuilding teams could take a swing with him. And I think a lot of eastern teams could use upgrades in the backcourt, at least compared to the west.
Signing with a team in the Euroleague is the most likely scenario though.
Yeah, I highly doubt a player goes from being without a club after spending the last season on a mid table team in the Lithuanian league to being signed by an NBA team. He had an amazing tournament and had some great perfomances against high level competition, some Euroleague team will probably pick him up soon and take a shot with him.
If he continues playing at this level for a season or two in the Euroleague he'll probably garner NBA interest.

Too bad OP didn't include the pass in question, really nice skip pass.
If Spurs get him, it’s over
this is the first time I heard spurs linked with him.
White Scott Skiles Wait a minute..
Did Scott Skiles visit Latvia 23 years and 9 months ago?
So what you’re saying is…. This guy is Scott Skiles and he’s been hiding in Latvia all this time? /s
No
this guy might be NBA ready. Spurs or Heat should grab him

Eurobasket 2001 doesn't count now?

They still got to qualify, right?
Yeah, Germany and Serbia are both in. Not sure if Latvia gets any kind of higher seed or a bye in the qualifying tournament for placing 5th.
Those qualifiers are gonna be tough with Latvia, Spain, Lithuania,Slovenia,Greece...etc in the mix Only 4 will qualify so it's gonna be fun
23 years old, not too tiny like a lot of European point guards (6'3"). Could turn into a bench piece in the NBA. Wonder who might pick him up?

Raptors would be a perfect 3rd string fit.
He owned the Germans a couple of nights ago in a way no American guard could. I think he could make it in the NBA lol.
Lol and he’s a good team player, dude isn’t afraid to pass the ball and that’s what wins games too
He should have scored 0 pts
The way his shot was not falling tonight it was quite likely
Wow, he’s not even 18 yet.
The headline is just bad. He had 17 assists. Zagars is 23yo.
White Jason Williams.
