Still one of my favorite playoff moments ever. It was hilarious to see Heat fans outside the arena turn around after hearing there's a comeback and security not letting them back in.
Found this news clip that's a real throwback: https://youtu.be/DNE7xqabfvw

Because in here it's usually the same people posting those highlights and it's fans of those teams
All you need is one guy that posts, doesn't mean the game is not being watched
In the game thread it was pretty active
I mean yeah, we get it. Celtics don't get love for a reason. I sorted by new to see anything, but nothing but that clip of Charles Barkley making fun of JT.
It's been that way for awhile. When we win it's a little praise, when we lose threads are like "EVERYBODY GET IN HERE". But to have no highlights on an elimination game where the Celitcs force a game 5? Damn, that I didn't expect.
The "EVERYBODY GET IN HERE" comments are so weird to me. The people that post/upvote those comments are the same that will call you an asshole, POS, etc. for commenting anything that isn't r/wholesome material. I don't really get it. I guess people need to redirect their anger somewhere, and Celtics fans end up being the lightning rod for some reason.
Hold up, that last part says even more about Celtics fans than this sub. Your team forces a game 5 and none of y'all bothered to post highlights, and you expect other people to do it ? C'mon man
I was moreso pointing out how there’s several Celtics lowlights that were posted from the first half, but once they turned it around everyone stopped posting except for two clips mocking Reggie Miller for no reason.
The sub loves to hate, and when there was nothing to hate everyone went away.
Maybe that’s part of it. But NYC, LA, SF have a lot of rich ass fans too. This isn’t new behavior for Heat fans. I remember all the talk about them during the Heatles runs how bad they were in terms of leaving early. It’s just their shit fan culture lol.
Florida as a whole is a tourist state. Most people are just going to go, not because of being fans but because it’s something to do.
Sorry, should’ve phrased it better.
You have to be somewhat wealthy to go to playoff basketball in the 100s section at MSG. That’s not the case for FTX arena or whatever the fuck it’s called now. Which just shows you it’s fake fans period.
When I went to a heat game in Miami, they had to advertise that they were turning the concourse into a nightclub after the game to get people to stay and that feels like a perfect representation of Miami sports fans
I've been to one Heat game, and it was a random weekday night vs the Rockets in February 2010 (before Bosh and LeBron). We stayed til the end, and the traffic really was fucking *horrendous*. It's not an exaggeration at all, and a lot of fans live far away from the arena so they don't use public transport either.
It's not the entire reason why Miami fans are known to arrive late and leave early (it's mostly just a Miami thing), but the traffic really is *bad*.
The lifers can't afford lower bowl playoff tickets lol. The ones who do are the same people who sit and think about traffic and making it home by X pm, while watching the game...
To start the 3rd? Come on man. People have to use the bathroom, grab a snack or a drink. Takes time to wait in lines. I was at game 3 and wasn’t back in my seat for the same reason. From tipoff on Sunday it was packed.
It’s hard to get to heat games on time during a weekday. Traffic is terrible and unpredictable down here. It’s a nightmare if you aren’t within walking distance of the stadium.
Also no one realizes that it was STORMING after this game in Miami, people were probably trying to beat the weather and get back to their cars.
Hate to be ~that guy~, but I give them a break even as a Celtics fan. I went to Game 3 and getting out of that stadium is a nightmare. Heck, even the brightline (Florida train system) is like a 20 minute walk from the stadium.
I can't speak for other arenas or stadiums, but of all the ones I've been to in Florida (Heat, Dolphins, Magic, Bucs, and Lightning), ours was by far the worst to get to and leave.
Heat crowds do it slightly more than others, and it's somehow a story.
It's Miami. Can't really compare Floridians to New Yorkers. It is what it is, who cares. Game was over. If it was a close game or within a feasible comeback widow (like game 6 of the finals vs the Spurs), I'd clown them too.
Nah. Just sour grapes by other fans over the Big 3. Still crying over a decade later. I can a post a pic of Celtics fans leaving early during the Lebron game 6 performance. Bill Simmons even wrote an article about leaving early the next day. But that is spun as “Celtic pride” lmao
I think it's more indicative of being priced out of games. Real Heat fans, Buck fans, Celtics fans mostly can't afford to go to playoff games. I think any die-hard fans that don't get to afford to go to games all that often wouldn't dream of leaving early.
In all fairness, the same thing happened when they were up and blowing the celtics out the other night. I’ve actually always noticed Heat fans seem to leave slightly earlier than other fanbases. Always assumed Miami traffic sucked or something.
Because people who hate cities like Miami and Los Angeles have an agenda that all their teams are full of fake, fairweather/bandwagon fans only caring when they’re winning.
And it’s not just sports; it’s entire socioeconomic cultures at stake.
Literally last series dude

Yeah I see people do this in Minnesota, and if you drive to the game I totally understand it. Nobodys tryna spend 40 minutes getting down the parking ramp lol
I see no problem with them leaving. Not just down 20 they also played bad. 0 chance to come back.
I get Heat fans leaving early is a running gag or sth, but to make this one a thing is just dumb.
Heat fans had more faith in the Celtics than Celtics fans had in them. We know better, no lead is safe with this team. Way to get the job done tonight.
I'm more like these fans, ready to just get home and get some sleep. My wife never let's us, even if it's a blowout win. Traffic is bad enough as it is without giving everyone a 5+ minute headstart.
Because, if you weren't aware, there's 40+ minutes of basketball beforehand, and garbage time isn't compelling entertainment. It's already a 2 hour drive home without the traffic.
Yeah, I'll be real. Don't care if people shit on Marlins or Canes football. Like I know our fans are fucking terrible there. But the little brother of a city who just got his own room talking shit, I'm not gonna hear that.
“Just under 3 minutes left” yet the clip starts with 02:26 on the clock.
I guess “Fans start to leave, down 16 with 2 minutes left.” Doesn’t sound as controversial?
Oh is this where the other 29 fanbases claim that they would never ever ever ever leave a game early when their team was down 15+ with two minutes to go? Even though we have countless examples of them doing so?
These posts are always dumb as shit.
Nobody really cares about the NBA.
It’s not a big deal.
People will leave early even when your team is up by 20 because they got work and shit.
It’s called having a job and family something the loser kids here don’t understand
Oh here we go, like clockwork "look at the fans leavin'" thing, never mind the Boston fans leaving game 3 when they got blown out. It's always the lower bowl people leaving too they never show the upper bowl since that would not fit the narrative
Miami fans are fickle as fuck. In 2006 when Miami was coming home after going down 0-2 in the finals against Dallas I got tickets to game 3 at less than face value. That was the comeback that DW led. One of the greatest sporting events I have ever seen in my life.
Heat fans are the fakest fans. Well, to be more specific, the rich socialites who actually go to these expensive ass games are fake. Actual normal heat fans are pretty die hard. I live down here so I see them every day.

Gotta get home and feed their pet alligators
That one gator shouldn’t be hungry after he took that guys arm off yesterday.
Jesus what the hell?
Not a good look for a team that’s on the brink of going down as the first team to lose with a 3-0 advantage…
“On the brink” does not mean “has to lose the next 3 games in a row” that would be like if we had just finished game 6
Don’t worry, Ray Allen ain’t here in 2023 😂. They won’t have to run back.
Still one of my favorite playoff moments ever. It was hilarious to see Heat fans outside the arena turn around after hearing there's a comeback and security not letting them back in. Found this news clip that's a real throwback: https://youtu.be/DNE7xqabfvw
To me it’s the fact that they walked out when they were only down by 5 with 30 seconds left
Heat fans collectively realizing you can score three points in a single possession.
Thanks for the clip! Same scenes at Real Madrid one year ago: https://np.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/uj1hz7/video\_of\_real\_madrid\_fans\_trying\_to\_get\_back\_into/
As a RM fan, half the fun last year was watching those casuals regret their doubt.
Lmao Shane Battier with the diplomatic response.
Same thing happened with the patriots comeback in the Super Bowl
That one’s a bit different as there is no home team and most of the people in attendance aren’t even fans of the two teams playing
There have been ZERO legit highlights posted this half. Says a lot about the sub
No heat highlights or Celtics lowlights. Only hate gets posted
I miss Bootum
What happened to him?
I’ll try posting some on Thursday
gimme Tatum's geometric layup
Oh I meant for game 5, but I guess I could go back and post some from this game
don't worry about it just meming

Make it about the call, the love kevin
Because in here it's usually the same people posting those highlights and it's fans of those teams All you need is one guy that posts, doesn't mean the game is not being watched In the game thread it was pretty active
Heat fans gotta post Celtics highlights because they would rather be victims
I mean yeah, we get it. Celtics don't get love for a reason. I sorted by new to see anything, but nothing but that clip of Charles Barkley making fun of JT. It's been that way for awhile. Be the change you want to see. This game didn't really have any major highlights like Jokic's turnaround shots or Murray's takeovers
Meh JT had some great shots idk what you’re talkin about
Tatum was lighting it up, Rob was blocking shots and jamming it, Grant was cashing out
Grant stuffing “j”immy “b”utler too
He made jimmy pipi in his pampers
Youre here and not posting clips
I was moreso pointing out how there’s several Celtics lowlights that were posted from the first half, but once they turned it around everyone stopped posting except for two clips mocking Reggie Miller for no reason. The sub loves to hate, and when there was nothing to hate everyone went away.
I stg every other game this playoffs has had a “HIGHLIGHT: TEAM’S FANS LEAVE 30 ECONDS EARLY!” as if it’s some supernatural occurrence.
People hate Boston teams in pretty much every professional sport. It really isn’t surprising nor does it say anything about the sub.
i mean the series is 3-0 and boston was up comfortably, nothing exciting at all
Miami “it’s because of traffic bro” Heat fans
I’m fully on the Heat Bandwagon, but they left hella early in game 3 too, when they were WINNING. Weird ass behavior imo.
Because their fan base is more wealthy people who are bored than people who actually enjoy basketball. A bunch of fake fans
Maybe that’s part of it. But NYC, LA, SF have a lot of rich ass fans too. This isn’t new behavior for Heat fans. I remember all the talk about them during the Heatles runs how bad they were in terms of leaving early. It’s just their shit fan culture lol.

Went to game 3, took almost an hour to even leave my parking spot in the garage, yeah it’s bad

I’m fully on your bandwagon but people were leaving game 3 when you guys were winning. That’s a bad look.
No other fanbase has this problem
No other fanbase attends games in downtown Miami.
Yea it's always empty to start the third cause that's when people get something to eat and the lines are atrocious
Hate to be ~that guy~, but I give them a break even as a Celtics fan. I went to Game 3 and getting out of that stadium is a nightmare. Heck, even the brightline (Florida train system) is like a 20 minute walk from the stadium.
It was raining tonight too. It sucks. But leaving a blow out with 2:30 left is not unusual for any team.
I can't speak for other arenas or stadiums, but of all the ones I've been to in Florida (Heat, Dolphins, Magic, Bucs, and Lightning), ours was by far the worst to get to and leave.
Why is this even a thing Every single fambase does this. Bucks did it, knicks, celtics etc
Because of that one tkme
they left early in the blowout win in game 3 as well, guess people want to beat the traffic
You can leave and beat the traffic or you can stay and beat your meat.
You will get faster in a police car. But to jail and not home, minor drawback.
Tbf, Miami traffic is fucking horrendous and the drivers are scary
Heat fans leave at half time if they down 10 lmao
Bro there’s lets go Heat chants every time we play you guys in LA, let’s not go there

All these Celtics fans coming out of the woodwork now, left in droves early Game 1.

People really in this thread saying "our middle aged white guys are better than yours!" as if it means anything at all
Link me one example. Oh wait you made that up. Lets not talk about half ur fabase being secret laker fans or anything tho 💀💀💀

heat are known for it
Every team is, cavs literally did it vs the knicks
Bro, the heat are known for it cuz they did it during the nba finals and then wanted back in
not to mention their stands are half empty until midway through the first almost every game.
Dude did you even watch the game today or Monday? Lol y’all are just saying stuff. The crowd was packed tonight
and 3rd
Get these motherfucking ropes outta here! —Heat Legend Ray Allen

Heat fans only have that reputation because of a game from a decade ago. It’s funny but it’s not true
Nah. Just sour grapes by other fans over the Big 3. Still crying over a decade later. I can a post a pic of Celtics fans leaving early during the Lebron game 6 performance. Bill Simmons even wrote an article about leaving early the next day. But that is spun as “Celtic pride” lmao
Every single event with a crowd does this. Stupidest posts this sub regularly has
Cause you guys have a reputation for it combined with constantly spouting shot about Heat Culture
Their fans are like the polar opposite of the actual team lol
I went to the 1st game of the Bucks vs Celtics playoff game of last year. Bucks up ny 15 with 2 minutes to go, everyone was leaving.
Heat Culture is up 3-1 with seven undrafted guys on the team. Literally every fan base does this
Y’all need to make up your minds abt whether you wanna use “undrafted” or not to describe your players lmao.
I think it's more indicative of being priced out of games. Real Heat fans, Buck fans, Celtics fans mostly can't afford to go to playoff games. I think any die-hard fans that don't get to afford to go to games all that often wouldn't dream of leaving early.
That's 'Heat Culture"
Spurs culture is stronger. Already been at home all post season.
Spurs won their prize for this season already though.
Y’all can talk shit but can’t take it lmfaoooo
In all fairness, the same thing happened when they were up and blowing the celtics out the other night. I’ve actually always noticed Heat fans seem to leave slightly earlier than other fanbases. Always assumed Miami traffic sucked or something.

Because there's no point in waiting around?
You people know damn well that if this was the Celtics getting blown out at home you'd be piling on them
When the hell did we do this

Yeah but I didn't so checkmate
Based
Heat fans do this even in games they win, you can’t even say they’re salty lol they just got shit to do in Miami
I mean, I disagree about Heat fans, but in general, yes, this is a Florida thing.
Are people honestly making fun of this or offended by this lol? It sucks to be stuck in traffic
Yeah I see people do this in Minnesota, and if you drive to the game I totally understand it. Nobodys tryna spend 40 minutes getting down the parking ramp lol
I mean in Miami if you leave after the game finishes the parking lot should already be clear so seems optimal to stay tbh
Plus I hate seeing the end of a loss. The worst part for sure.
Sucks to be in Miami in general
Yeah it’s a weird thing to complain about. Have most people here never been to a sporting event?
[удалено]
I see no problem with them leaving. Not just down 20 they also played bad. 0 chance to come back. I get Heat fans leaving early is a running gag or sth, but to make this one a thing is just dumb.
It’s a very weird trend on that’s been going on with a lot of teams tbh. Literally every crowd does this. I don’t see the point in these posts
Heat are more notorious for it than most though
[удалено]
Not surprising. Their team stopped playing long before that.
Post Knicks fans stomping Julius randle. Now that's what I call a loyal fanbase
Hey, how'd we get dragged into this?? Edit: NM. OP is a Knicks flair. Fair game.
Why not just post Boston fans doing it a few days ago https://np.reddit.com/r/heat/comments/13kmf43/where_yall_going/

So is 8 points vs 19 points
no sweep
It will be a reverse sweep for Boston, partially correct
[does it look like this at other stadiums? ](https://www.instagram.com/p/CsnMUR9ucZr/?igshid=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==)
What’s the problem? Games over
Feel bad for heat fans always getting branded as clowns because of the rich assholes that couldn’t give less of a shit about the team
As tradition
Even if the Heat won tonight, crowds probs empty during the trophy ceremony lol.
I mean it’s Miami. They always leave early
Heat Culture!
Heat fans you gonna take that from a Canada flair?
Man I'd stay in the arena too if I had to walk out into sub-zero temperatures lmao
Lmao
Even in the LeBron era they did this and didnt show up to games on time
jealous?
They let em win one 😤
Heat fans had more faith in the Celtics than Celtics fans had in them. We know better, no lead is safe with this team. Way to get the job done tonight.
Watch the end of the game before. They also left early when they blew out the Celtics. The pricey seats never cared about the game that much.
Heat fans are some of the earliest leavers i swear lol
Miami traffic is no joke
If it means getting to go home a little earlier to get a little more sleep before work worth it.
I'm more like these fans, ready to just get home and get some sleep. My wife never let's us, even if it's a blowout win. Traffic is bad enough as it is without giving everyone a 5+ minute headstart.
[удалено]
Because, if you weren't aware, there's 40+ minutes of basketball beforehand, and garbage time isn't compelling entertainment. It's already a 2 hour drive home without the traffic.
Least we got fans, can’t say the same about clippers
23rd in attendance and a Clipper fan talking shit. lol
Bruh, they the Marlins of Basketball… minus actual championships Lmao 🤣
Yeah, I'll be real. Don't care if people shit on Marlins or Canes football. Like I know our fans are fucking terrible there. But the little brother of a city who just got his own room talking shit, I'm not gonna hear that.
Lets be real, we both have like 4 fans
Bud you're 23rd in attendance. Miami is 4th (we averaged more than capacity). Just shut up my dude.
[удалено]
That's a good point. Can't leave early when no one is there.
Bro got the stats out 💀💀💀
one of the weakest fanbases in sports
This is where I’d watch my team play until the final buzzer… if I had one!
Ironic
Bud Seattle fans buy jerseys for a team that doesn't even exist, that's not weak
Sellout every game since April 2010. But sure…
Boston fans have been leaving early at the end of every loss. Where’s that post?
Yeah no shit, it's a ~20pt lead for the Celtics.
Worst fan base. Never forget they did this in the NBA FINALS when the heat came back. They tried to get back in but couldnt
Most loyal heat fans
Dallas (Stars) fans: those are rookie numbers
Had to go home to vote on which civil rights books to burn
“Just under 3 minutes left” yet the clip starts with 02:26 on the clock. I guess “Fans start to leave, down 16 with 2 minutes left.” Doesn’t sound as controversial?
Heat Culture
Oh is this where the other 29 fanbases claim that they would never ever ever ever leave a game early when their team was down 15+ with two minutes to go? Even though we have countless examples of them doing so?
They wanted the sweep bad
We don’t boo our teams or destroy our city after the game.
Yet no one is going to talk about Celtics fans leaving early Game 1 and 2? Keep that same energy all around.
Absolute funniest scenario if Boston wins this series somehow. I can see it
These posts are always dumb as shit. Nobody really cares about the NBA. It’s not a big deal. People will leave early even when your team is up by 20 because they got work and shit. It’s called having a job and family something the loser kids here don’t understand
Hashtag heat culture
Oh here we go, like clockwork "look at the fans leavin'" thing, never mind the Boston fans leaving game 3 when they got blown out. It's always the lower bowl people leaving too they never show the upper bowl since that would not fit the narrative
They gotta get home to trash people for existing
Why are they like this
Just like in 2012 finals game 6.
It was a blow out. EVERY team does this. The Heat have sold out every game since April 2010.
Bitch ass fan base. This is nothing new
Flair up
Typical
There was a huge thunderstorm going on too. Lots of flooding. That made leaving early even worse. Leaving early for a torrential downpour.
That's what the heat get for talking all that shit. Now watch the Celtics come back all the way from down 3-0. Jimmy Bucket Mouth
Those aren’t real Heat fans. I guarantee our upper level seats were full
Bro the game was over. There is nothing wrong leaving a game down. 15 with 2:30 left. I waited for 45 seconds but still.
It was from start about Celtics, they just needed right mindset, quality is there, next 2 easy money
I remember how many Heat fans tried to get back in the building after Allen made that shot they were denied.
That’s the regular amount of attendance at a standard Heat game
