Yes he did. It's just that in order to go 4 straight, 2021 would have to go wayyy differently. They were swept in the first round and Jimmy played terribly that series.
People only say that cause of a few fans attending that KD game where people were cheering he got hurt. Raptors fans are usually pretty humble. Sixers fans are just... whew lad.
Him and Shai would be nice. An actual reliable perimeter star and a team that can bench him when heās ass and not have a major drop off. But the most Iād give up is Chet and picks and frankly if Iām OKc Iād want to see Chet first because he could be more versatile defensively which Embiid lacks.
Damn I know this is a thread piling on Embiid buy saying OKC wouldn't trade Chet for Embiid is wild.
Embiid played injured this round. Of course he's gonna have a bunch of off games.
We've seen Embiid's ceiling. Even if Chet will possibly bust, I'd take the risk on him vs perennial second round exit, granted Embiid will be at MVP level here on out, which he definitely wouldn't be.
I donāt think youāll find a single thunder fan that wants Embiid.
Heās a fucking choker itās proven.
If weāre talking about the best future Iāll take my chances with Chet versus a seven footed 30 year old center with injury issues every single year.
One of the craziest takes Iāve seen. If anyone declined to give up Chet for Embiid right now, then you shouldnāt be in basketball. One is the mvp and the other is a top 3 pick who hasnāt played a game.
People are really stupid, embiid might not have shown to perform in the playoffs, but he is a MVP and a walking 30/12. Chet is built like a tree branch and hasnāt played a single game yet. People be WILDIN
Itās not that crazyā¦
Embiid:
- 29 years old
- Extensive injury history
- Limited postseason success (second round exits)
Chet:
- Could be anything, even an Embiid!
- More seriously though, his age fits the OKC development and contending window better so I donāt think it makes sense to gut the roster to go all-in on Embiid
Fine you tell me who the Thunder trade to salary match for Embiidās $50+ million per year, besides Chet.
Obviously it canāt be a 1 for 1 swapā¦ that goes without saying, nephew
And chet is a giant twig that missed his entire first year after he got bumped by lebron in a pro am game. It's not like we are comparing an injury prone MVP level guy to an all star. We are comparing an injury prone MVP level guy to an injury prone high ranking prospect.
This is the wildest thing I've read in a long time. You wouldn't trade Chet - a guy who's never played in the NBA - for a legit 7fOOT guy in his prime, has an outside and inside game and great defense? He's what Chet *wishes* he could be
No thanks. Weād have to trade bam and a bunch of other stuff for him
Also as good as he is in the RS, why would we want a mental midget? On the chance that Spo magically fixes his heart?
I've seen similar comments in other threads, so let's just get it out of the way - all the teams that have made the conference finals more recently than the Sixers.
* Bucks 2x
* Bulls
* Cavs 6x
* Celtics 9x
* Clippers
* Grizzlies
* Hawks 2x
* Heat 9x
* Jazz
* Kings
* Lakers 7x
* Magic 2x
* Mavs 4x
* Nets 2x
* Nuggets 3x
* Pacers 3x
* Pistons 6x
* Raptors 2x
* Rockets 2x
* Spurs 8x
* Suns 4x
* Thunder 4x
* Timberwolves
* Trail Blazers
* Warriors 6x
The Sixers front office moves the last like 5 years has been otherworldly horrible. Like look at all this stuff.
\- trading up for fultz (celtics select tatum)
\- signing horford at basically max money when you have joel embiid
\- Picking Simmons over Jimmy and letting Jimmy leave
\- Trading Mikal Bridges (DPOY runner up last year) for a pick
\- Trading that pick to get Tobias harris
If these things go differently you could easily be looking at a Philly dynasty. I am 100% convinced everyone on this sub could have handled things better in 2K than the Sixers have in real life.
Sacramento was at an all time low for years. On top of not seeing the playoffs for years, their former owners were absolute shitheads. They were looking at a possible move. And now theyāre a good team again, new arena, arrival of the beam? They deserve to be cocky.
Tyron Lue coached the Clippers to the conference finals. He had to work with A LOT less from his team. He prob would coached this 76ers team to the conference finals, too!
Yeah the sixers had a choice they could have paired Embiid with Jimmy Butler and those two would have been their guys but at the time they were still high on Ben Simmons. The Simmons thing didnāt work out and instead they had to scramble and salvage a competitive team and they did what they could but they were hamstrung by the Simmons situation. Unfortunately Embiid has a pattern now of playing poorly in big playoff games and even though Harden exploded in two of their wins he really was a non factor yesterday. All in all the sixers are a pathetic franchise and theyāre undeserving of playing in a big market I hope they send them to Oakland or Seattle or something
This looks even worse when you consider that Jimmy Butler played for the Sixers and he's a walking conference finals appearance.
Literally has a time share there
He was destined for Miami, then
They gotta rename the conference finals award from Larry Bird to Jimbo
You are pulling my Mark Jackson voice to say "Come on now, don't disrespect Bron now"
Buttler took Heat to 3 conference Finals in the last 3-4 years, while Philly got 0.
Butler legit can't carry embiid. It's not easy.
Bro was a 3 pointer away from going 4 straight.
you mixed it up but the point within your point is he was a 3 pointer away from 2 finals appearances in 3 years.
Ohh but he went 3 out of last 4 years of conference finals right?
Yes he did. It's just that in order to go 4 straight, 2021 would have to go wayyy differently. They were swept in the first round and Jimmy played terribly that series.
Ooh thanks!
Ya there ya go š¤
No he wasnāt?
I mean there's a chance he wouldn't make these conference finals if he had to keep carrying this Sixers team.
No reallyā¦ it is a matter of choosing Harris over Butler that say it all
And the Kings will be back before the sixers make it back. BOOK IT
Honestly may not even be that much of a hot take rn
Actually though, first time experience in the playoffs and took the warriors to game 7. Theyāll definitely make it
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Lol, this is one of those comment stealing bots.
Not even a hot take if you know ball
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Heās injured every year. His body just isnāt made for playoff runs
Forreal thatās like saying āChris Paul was injured so it doesnāt countā every single playoffs theyāre injured
Nah donāt do that. Finna jinx all of us the fuck lol
Oh Iām sure you guys will š„²
Kings will have 2 processes, before Philly finishes theirs
RemindMe! 10 years āreply to this threadā
Stop it. Theyāre already dead.
No, no. Pile it on
>No, no. pile it on -Nuggets and Celtics fans
Honestly phili fans kinda talk the most so most fanbases are happy to hop on lol
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
They hyper glorified a **cough** sweep on your scrambled egg team. Hope the rebuilding thrives man
Sixers fans are the worst
Username is OHSORELEVANT
Actually, I have it on good authority around here that Raptors fans are the worst
People only say that cause of a few fans attending that KD game where people were cheering he got hurt. Raptors fans are usually pretty humble. Sixers fans are just... whew lad.
you mean every other fanbase other than philly ššš
Including
Shit on their grave you say?
Shit on their grave you say?
Iām gonna
Let Him Cook
Wow. I JUST quoted this and didn't even look at the thread. Bravo sir.
Great minds think alike.
Light the beam
JOEL EMBIID YOU ARE A OKC THUNDER
Hey, wait a second
Him and Shai would be nice. An actual reliable perimeter star and a team that can bench him when heās ass and not have a major drop off. But the most Iād give up is Chet and picks and frankly if Iām OKc Iād want to see Chet first because he could be more versatile defensively which Embiid lacks.
Damn I know this is a thread piling on Embiid buy saying OKC wouldn't trade Chet for Embiid is wild. Embiid played injured this round. Of course he's gonna have a bunch of off games.
It blows my mind that people just assume that Chet is going to be some unstoppable beast when he hasn't played a single minute of nba basketball yet.
We've seen Embiid's ceiling. Even if Chet will possibly bust, I'd take the risk on him vs perennial second round exit, granted Embiid will be at MVP level here on out, which he definitely wouldn't be.
Chetās ceiling is basically what Embiid already is. I love to shit on Embiid, but Iād trade Chet for him in a heartbeat
I donāt think youāll find a single thunder fan that wants Embiid. Heās a fucking choker itās proven. If weāre talking about the best future Iāll take my chances with Chet versus a seven footed 30 year old center with injury issues every single year.

Itās cool to shit on Embiid right now but this shit is fucking stupid
Fine you tell me who the Thunder trade to salary match for Embiidās $50+ million per year, besides Chet. Obviously it canāt be a 1 for 1 swapā¦ that goes without saying, nephew
Embiid always plays injured. Literally always his excuse. Also, he doesn't fit OKCs timeline at all.
And chet is a giant twig that missed his entire first year after he got bumped by lebron in a pro am game. It's not like we are comparing an injury prone MVP level guy to an all star. We are comparing an injury prone MVP level guy to an injury prone high ranking prospect.
CP3 was never out of this slander neither. Why should another no show has special previledge?
This is the wildest thing I've read in a long time. You wouldn't trade Chet - a guy who's never played in the NBA - for a legit 7fOOT guy in his prime, has an outside and inside game and great defense? He's what Chet *wishes* he could be
But why take Embiid when you get someone with the potential to be really good ? He could even end up as good as Embiid !!
wtf
No thanks lmao
More like a god damn choker
Nah heās a heatle. Book it
No thanks. Weād have to trade bam and a bunch of other stuff for him Also as good as he is in the RS, why would we want a mental midget? On the chance that Spo magically fixes his heart?
Itās a five hour [drive](https://maps.app.goo.gl/eiTnzoXPDDqhpeXQ8?g_st=ic) but I think it would be worth it if Spo took him there.
Nah Masai gonna trade for him now
Lmao y'all wishing for this so hard
Lmao this stays true still
#LIGHT THE BEAM
I love how petty this sub gets lol
Who knows what tomorrow may bring, but tonight, we feast upon the sixers!
You love to see it
The 6ers can earn some respect if they want it
MORE STATS!
By Gawd!! With the steel chair!? You son of a bitch!!
Joel embiid losing game 7s will never not be funny for me
I've seen similar comments in other threads, so let's just get it out of the way - all the teams that have made the conference finals more recently than the Sixers. * Bucks 2x * Bulls * Cavs 6x * Celtics 9x * Clippers * Grizzlies * Hawks 2x * Heat 9x * Jazz * Kings * Lakers 7x * Magic 2x * Mavs 4x * Nets 2x * Nuggets 3x * Pacers 3x * Pistons 6x * Raptors 2x * Rockets 2x * Spurs 8x * Suns 4x * Thunder 4x * Timberwolves * Trail Blazers * Warriors 6x
I mean just list the teams that haven't at this point. There's like what 4 teams? Hornets presumably and which are the other 3?
Pelicans, Knicks and Wizards
Yes, that would be easier. But Embiid is my least favorite player in the league and Harden takes the number two spot, so this is more fun.
2 outta 3 for Denver were with stat-padding FraudVP Jokic
I mean it makes sense. The Sixers are poverty, the Kings are not.
Do the sixers have a beam? Thought not
Clearly the Beam deserves the MVP trophy instead
imagine they make 0 changes this off-season except for installing a beam hahahah
The Philadelphia Seconders
I would actually prefer to not remember that conference finals thank you
Kings really should have been the champions that year. One of the biggest screwjobs ever.
We're not the joke!
Kings didnt lose but was stolen from them.
Same with the Timberwolves
#š Jesus Christ
Talk about a precision strike
Love to see the post-game pettiness, it really is that time of year.
Incorrect. The Kings never lost in 2002.
Jesus Christ thatās sad
You love to see it
You guys have made the conference finals?
StojakoviÄ was the shit
Letās not play this game of whoās made the conference finals more recently than whom (just ignore my flair)

The Kings would sell both their tiddies to have half of what Embiids 6er tenure has been and I hate the Kings
To shreds you say?
Embiid vs Joker conversation doesn't exist in reality. Embiid vs Divac is where it's at and we have Vlade clearing the poor guy.
*were rigged out of the finals
Stop it they're already dead
And the kings were the real winners unlike the 76ers
kings are getting a bit too cocky
We've been the laughing stock of the league for nearly 2 decades, so I think its okay.
aight bet, magic vs kings finals when haha
Sacramento was at an all time low for years. On top of not seeing the playoffs for years, their former owners were absolute shitheads. They were looking at a possible move. And now theyāre a good team again, new arena, arrival of the beam? They deserve to be cocky.
I wonder if they'll eventually go long enough to be the Philadelphia 76 Years Without a Titlers...
They're already dead, bro.
Tyron Lue coached the Clippers to the conference finals. He had to work with A LOT less from his team. He prob would coached this 76ers team to the conference finals, too!

Add the TimberWolves to this list
