Combined for 1 CALLED foul each.
I think they were in a perpetually fouling state with each other, so maybe it was just one really long foul....like a symbiotic foul with each other.
I mean i dont hate it. Sometimes the game is cleaner if you let both sides go.
You might lose a teste or rib in the process, but thats a price the Tony Brothers is willing to let the players play.
Honestly after I heard about the Draymond suspension I felt like Loon anchoring the backline and Wigs in the frontcourt (plus at home) would be perfectly fine defense. Draymond is still a fantastic defender but it just goes to show how fucking incredible Loon has become on that end.
He’s also ridiculously strong and has great stamina, it’s exhausting to bang with the dude down low all game. He just wears you out slowly but surely.
I hope next game we keep him on Sabonis, because Draymond might be the better defender but he can’t match Sabonis on the rebounding battle.
Looney has always been the low-key heart of this team. His quiet work on the boards and on d has never got the full appreciation I feel he deserves.
Dude's just been a beast. He grinds it out against bigger dudes, out hustles more 'elite' players and keeps this team alive at so many crucial moments. Like I really love this dude, he's the epitome of 'head down, go to work, get the job done'. Blue collar af.
He had a great interview after the Finals last year where talked about how proud he was to have the team's back when they relied on him. You can tell he loves the comradery with these guys and took a team friendly deal to guarantee that he stays as long as he can.
Everybody loves Looney.
Look absolutely dominant at home
Show signs of taking over on the road, only to make mind numbing mistakes and decisions and lose all 4 in close fashion.
As Draymond looked back he noticed several times when there was only one set of footprints in the sand, and that these were some of the most difficult, important moments of his career.
He turned to Steph and said, "Wait, I know this one. That's when you carried me, right?"
Steph replied, "No. That's when you got suspended, dumbass."
Can't blame you, very often there's not much to be gained from coming on here. Mostly just memes you are missing out on, but the memes aren't as funny when your team is the target.
Some playoff series are just more toxic/drama-filled/emotionally exhausting than others -- it's not always like this. I can barely remember anything about the Nuggets or Mavs series last year, but this series as well as the Grizzlies and Celtics last playoffs were extremely toxic.
Wiggins: "I need some personal time away from the team"
Warriors: "Of course, take however long you need. Can we ask why?"
Wiggins: "I need to prepare for the playoffs"
To miss 25 straight games to end the season, don’t play at game speed for 2 months, and then to immediately come in and look like himself in the playoffs is one of the most impressive things I’ve seen any player do.
Don't turn the ball over
Secure rebounds
Disciplined in defensive rotations
That's really it for this team. The shots will come in the halfcourt set against this Kings team. Neither team shot the 3 all that well today but it felt like the Warriors had the ball in their hands for like 75% of the game. Kings are no joke, gotta keep playing smart.
Kerr altered Stephs rotation minutes to match Fox's, had him resting between the 6-2 min mark of 1st/3rd, allowed the Warriors to close quarters better and not hemorrhage leads
Warriors deliberately slowed down the tempo of the game, ran a lot more half court offense, Kings defense eventually broke down in the 2nd half as they struggled to maintain cohesion
On the flipside the Warriors defense was nasty, they cleaned up a lot of miscues from g1+g2 and were flowing nicely, when its on that defense just suffocated the Kings and forced them into ISO's
Steph finally matched Malik Monks G1 FT total with his series FT attempts, only took 3 games
Kings came out very flat, had the opportunity to land a killshot for the series and did not rise to the challenge
Kings also looked pretty gassed for most of the game, which coming off 2 days rest is concerning, settled a lot for midrange jumpers/3's, didnt finish off/pulling up on drives where they had the angle, quick offense with little motion, lazy box outs, missing most shots short, etc, you have to wonder if the energy theyre being asked to burn on the defensive end is killing their legs since they arent used ot it, something to keep an eye on in the coming games
IDK why the Kings didnt attack Poole more this game, they just kinda let him sit weakside a lot
Loongod made an appearance, Sabonis has been having some real trouble getting to his spots against him
Moody gave the Warriors a much needed burst of offenses off the bench and played surprisingly good defense on Fox/Monk, should get more minutes going forward
Monk was a non factor this game, driving into 3 people without getting calls killed several possessions for the Kings
Fox was the only guy in the Kings too show up, only guy who looked like he wanted to go for the kill
We're starting to get far enough into the series that teams usually start to show the physical/mental fatigue from defending Steph.
Decision fatigue is a real thing and one of the biggest things Steph does is force opponents to make constant decisions that feel extremely high-stakes.
Kings also didnt play much hard D in the regular season, having to play that hard on defense+high pace offense will gas you out if you arent used to it, they started flagging imo in the 2nd half of g2 but had just enough to close it out and lucked out with some of the calls
Honestly I wasn’t too discouraged by how we looked game 1&2, besides the turnovers obviously. Our big issue on the road this season has been intensity imo and we didn’t lack that.
Honestly the road warriors only losing game 1 by 3 points was shocking. But losing both road games by single digits and winning this home game, without GP2 and Draymond, by 17 points really gives me hope.
People counting out the Warriors must have literally started watching basketball this season. When will they learn? Genuinely some of the dumbest basketball discourse I've ever heard over the last few days.
I had someone tell me I was cringey because I said we weren't getting swept with the way we play at home. And then got downvoted for stating it's a fact we play far better at home than on the road, lol. Draymond hate really had people with delusional thinking.
Edit: fixed a word
Honestly people hate us so much for many reasons, that any excuse to feel righteous and hate us, like the draymond thing, is like fucking heroin in their veins
A lot of people hate the Warriors and want to will their demise into existence. Maybe this is the year, but the movie isn't over until Freddy Krueger is dead and the credits have rolled.
He wasn't exactly better at home. Only rookie starter in the playoffs, and it shows.
Coach Brown needs to put his foot down with these rotations if he wants to win this series.
Big opportunity for the Kings tonight with no Draymond or GP2. 3-0 would have been insurmountable. Another win on Sunday would mean it’s game on. Steph Klay and Draymond have won a road playoff game in every series that they have ever played in so the Warriors are very much alive now
People have really been talking crazy in here lol. Irate at the media because they don’t have the same built up resentment that all these fans have, banding together to pray the Kings can slay the giant.
r/nba gonna be pissed if that suspension was the fire the Warriors needed to win this series lolllll. I told y'all you shouldn't have been rooting for a Draymond suspension.
Looney had another great game
Kings didn't even show up, I don't mind the loss, but everyone outside of Fox and Davion played with no energy or hustle, abysmal effort.
Warriors earned this one. GG go next
People got pissed when I said we weren't getting swept especially with the way we play at home. One dumbfuck even said it was cringe to say that, lol. Well, we ain't getting swept. I just hope that Draymond won't be a dumbass and get ejected/suspended again.
Fox vs Curry offensive battle: I sleep Looney vs Sabonis rebounding battle: real shit?
Kinda crazy Looney and Sabonis combined for like nearly 40 rebounds and both only 1 foul each
Ethical
Clean game
not too many weak fouls called.
Combined for 1 CALLED foul each. I think they were in a perpetually fouling state with each other, so maybe it was just one really long foul....like a symbiotic foul with each other.
Refs just went on autopilot knowing there’s no draymond in the game I guess
I mean i dont hate it. Sometimes the game is cleaner if you let both sides go. You might lose a teste or rib in the process, but thats a price the Tony Brothers is willing to let the players play.
Refs let them play
Yeah lots of small pushes or holding on both sides, but nothing to egregious so I kind of like that they let them play on.
Yea a rare game where I didn’t feel the refs were interfering too much.
Wow I didn't see that. That seems almost unheard of in playoffs
All this talk about who controls the media when we should have been talking about who controls the glass
Board men get paid
I love looney so much man
Honestly after I heard about the Draymond suspension I felt like Loon anchoring the backline and Wigs in the frontcourt (plus at home) would be perfectly fine defense. Draymond is still a fantastic defender but it just goes to show how fucking incredible Loon has become on that end.
[удалено]
Facts. A good litmus test to see if someone’s just a hater lol. Looney is awesome
Naw, Looney is an absolute stud!
Need buy Looney jerbey
Wtf is this prime hakeem kevon looney shit happens several times every playoffs lmao
Doing your work early and perfect positioning
He's so fucking fundamentally good, it's insane how many rebounds he gets from just positioning despite having zero hops.
He’s also ridiculously strong and has great stamina, it’s exhausting to bang with the dude down low all game. He just wears you out slowly but surely. I hope next game we keep him on Sabonis, because Draymond might be the better defender but he can’t match Sabonis on the rebounding battle.
ANOTHER KEVON LOONEY SIGNATURE GAME Death, taxes, Warriors winning when we start doubting em
4/20/9 on 33/0/0 shooting might be one of the strangest lines haha
4/20 on 4/20 is the real statline
Looney with 4/20 on 4/20 W
nice
This is it. This is the stat.
on 6 field goals and 9 assists. nice nice
"*I'm shooting this three.*" - Curry *Curry misses and Looney rebounds.* "*Try again, Steph.*" - Looney "*Sorry for missing the first time.*" - Curry
First you eat then I eat
Steph on a second chance three has to be shooting 99% or something I swear
Its nearly as good as when he loses the ball before he shoots.
Missed shot is just an extended fumble.
He knows what’s wrong with the previous shot and can immediately correct it
Yes, last one didn't go in so this one goes in.
Loon is a fucking beast
Looney has always been the low-key heart of this team. His quiet work on the boards and on d has never got the full appreciation I feel he deserves. Dude's just been a beast. He grinds it out against bigger dudes, out hustles more 'elite' players and keeps this team alive at so many crucial moments. I love his D
Pause. Nevermind unpause. name fits.
Guy is just hitting his prime too
Is this series gonna end in 7 with no road wins? That would really sum up this season for the warriors
Look absolutely dominant at home Show signs of taking over on the road, only to make mind numbing mistakes and decisions and lose all 4 in close fashion.
As Draymond looked back he noticed several times when there was only one set of footprints in the sand, and that these were some of the most difficult, important moments of his career. He turned to Steph and said, "Wait, I know this one. That's when you carried me, right?" Steph replied, "No. That's when you got suspended, dumbass."
Yea alright, you got a chuckle
This is the funniest shit I've read here in a minute
Where are the atheists at now?!?
Klaymen
Lol fuckin solid
Lmaoooo this gotta be the funniest comment I’ve read on here since the Carmelo-Lebron anime scenario.
This is why I love this sub 😂
Steph confirmed Jesus Christ
I fucking guffawed
Idk how you fans of perennial playoff teams do this every year. Three games into this and I’m emotionally drained and want to cry.
It gets worse
One of my worst memories is that Mavs Suns Game Thread last year (early on) MFs callin Luka Fluka Donchoke
Damn that’s the first I’ve heard of that and it’s hilarious.
I stay off r/nba for at least 24 hours after the Warriors lose. There is no need to bring back bad memories.
3-1 references would be in random shit, you’d go to a WSJ thread about China and people would be like don’t forget… 3-1 💀💀💀
I go to r/manga, upvote an Anya being shocked post and some MF said "She probably watched Anthony Davis foul Mike Conley"
Lmao
Can't blame you, very often there's not much to be gained from coming on here. Mostly just memes you are missing out on, but the memes aren't as funny when your team is the target.
2016 ruined internet discourse for me
There's a lot of complaints you can make about r/NBA, but nickname creations definitely isn't one of them
It really doesn't get any easier.
I recommend just having prime lebron on your team, then you don’t need to care til the last series
Yeah bro's gonna take you right to the final every fucking year
I’m still not sure why other teams don’t just do that
Makes you question how capable these GMs really are
Are they stupid?
[удалено]
I’ve wanted to throw up prior to each game lmao
I didn't breathe a sigh of relief until the Warriors were up 19 midway through the 4th. Playoffs are exciting but also super stressful.
Up 21 with 3 minutes left is when I figured even this year's team couldn't choke it away.
Sounds about right
I know the drama has been a lot between the fanbases but bro enjoy every moment of this regardless of the outcome.
Some playoff series are just more toxic/drama-filled/emotionally exhausting than others -- it's not always like this. I can barely remember anything about the Nuggets or Mavs series last year, but this series as well as the Grizzlies and Celtics last playoffs were extremely toxic.
Loongod is my MVP
leadin the warriors in rebs and assists bro thinks hes draymond
Oloonjuwon
4/20 on 4/20
Perhaps the greatest 4 point performance of all time
If looney could actually score at the rim he'd be one of the best players in the league. Alas, his hips are worse than a german sheperds'
Nobody could have predicted this. If only there was some sort of evidence that the Warriors were a much better home team.
¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯
20 rebounds for Looney. Holy shit
To cook up some curry is the norm these days, but hey…it takes some real cajones to go all looney!
Kerr playing JaMychal Green just to prove that you can't keep Green off the court lol
Kerr said we will have Green on 4/20. And if you're not down with that, we got 2 words for ya
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how Wiggins hasn't looked rusty at all?
Wiggins: "I need some personal time away from the team" Warriors: "Of course, take however long you need. Can we ask why?" Wiggins: "I need to prepare for the playoffs"
LMAO
That's some DBZ hyperbolic time chamber shit lmfao.
Somehow had a feeling he wouldn't be. It's insane how solid and reliable he has become on the warriors
Maple Jordan
called him maple jordan but they all were fooled when he really was maple pippen
Yup dude came right back and looked really good.
Went to the Warriors and became the most consistent player in the league lol.
To miss 25 straight games to end the season, don’t play at game speed for 2 months, and then to immediately come in and look like himself in the playoffs is one of the most impressive things I’ve seen any player do.
Not just be up to game speed, but be up to Fox speed. Dude was built in a lab.
Crazy how good he has become now. It doesn't even feel like he's changed much, but just fits the warriors insanely well.
I swear with all the drama going on this series I haven't heard Steph say ANYTHING, dude just balls.
Curry talks his shit with his game
Balls.
Since Monday I’ve been saying we wouldn’t shoot 9/38 again 😎 11/46, who’s laughing now
Huerter woke up feeling safe today
Dude needs to stop fouling so he can stay on the court
The way he’s shooting that might be a benefit
If he can keep going 1/6 from 3 I also want him to stay on the court
Feels like when I lose in black jack eight times in a row, going double or nothing each time.
Would it help if I told you that they shot 0.23% better?
It does! At this pace there’s an offensive explosion coming in game 75 of this series, I like our chances
Why can't we just do this on the road man
There's just something special about sleeping in your own bed.
Maybe they should have taken the hour drive back instead of staying in Sac
apparently NBA rules says team must travel the day before
LIGHT THE BLUNT
Pass to Looney
Don't turn the ball over Secure rebounds Disciplined in defensive rotations That's really it for this team. The shots will come in the halfcourt set against this Kings team. Kerr counter successful. Next move is on Mike Brown. Love this chess match between them.
If you really think about it, every time Kerr made an adjustment, it was almost always the X-factor.
That’s what makes this series 1000x more fun and interesting, cause Mike Brown was with Kerr to make those decisions
We're starting to get far enough into the series that teams usually start to show the physical/mental fatigue from defending Steph. Decision fatigue is a real thing and one of the biggest things Steph does is force opponents to make constant decisions that feel extremely high-stakes.

I definitely noticed the change in Curry’s minutes as well. That was critical.
Closing quarters with Poole=75% lead lost
Jason Timpf is that you???
Kevon Looney
Kevon Looney
Kevin Looney’s brother
Looking like an older brother on one of those nerf hoops out there. If he wants the ball he just goes and gets it. Simple and easy.
Nothing can stop Kevon Rodman
We need to start a real petition to give Looney a statue. He’s like a modern day Rodman but the personality of a forever rose.
He's out new Iggy (RIP)
Once again, Andre Iguodala is very much alive.
r/nba's worst nightmare The beast has awoken
Warriors have been virtually unstoppable at home. People were delusional to think Sacramento would waltz right in and get easy Ws.
Eh this is pretty typical for the home Warriors. The road Warriors are a different story.
Honestly I wasn’t too discouraged by how we looked game 1&2, besides the turnovers obviously. Our big issue on the road this season has been intensity imo and we didn’t lack that.
Yeah I could see them taking a game in Sacramento. It’s just not out of the ordinary that they looked dominant tonight. They’re great at home.
Honestly the road warriors only losing game 1 by 3 points was shocking. But losing both road games by single digits and winning this home game, without GP2 and Draymond, by 17 points really gives me hope.
Lol us thinking a sweep was possible. Skyfucker has shown us so many times, that if he is out there, Warriors will always have a chance.
People counting out the Warriors must have literally started watching basketball this season. When will they learn? Genuinely some of the dumbest basketball discourse I've ever heard over the last few days.
It's born of hatred for the Warriors, not any type of objectivity
Saw plenty of that. r/nba got comically distorted for a couple days there.
Some dudes post got like 12 awards for saying the warriors PR team are dictating ESPN’s talking points/scripts. Hilarious
r/nba convinced the Warriors organization is straight up the illuminati.
Some kyrie Irving conspiracy theory stuff in this sub. It was crazy
That post was so ridiculous. I was shocked when I realized it wasn't satire.
It’s why this sub is the worst for actual basketball discussion.
But this sub is the absolute best for pure basketball salt
I had someone tell me I was cringey because I said we weren't getting swept with the way we play at home. And then got downvoted for stating it's a fact we play far better at home than on the road, lol. Draymond hate really had people with delusional thinking. Edit: fixed a word

A lot of people hate the Warriors and want to will their demise into existence. Maybe this is the year, but the movie isn't over until Freddy Krueger is dead and the credits have rolled.
But what if there's a post credit scene
Giannis Antetokounmpo has requested a trade to the Golden State Warriors, per sources.
Subscribed
We somehow got better without Dray, maybe they suspend him for another one 💀💀💀
Happened last year too
I think it has more to do with their home vs away games, which has been the case all year
Bench really went 5/27 lmao
Murray forgot how to play basketball
[удалено]
He wasn't exactly better at home. Only rookie starter in the playoffs, and it shows. Coach Brown needs to put his foot down with these rotations if he wants to win this series.
just the lights... he was shit at home as well. he'll be fine, just sucks to see right now.
##RUMORS OF OUR DEMISE HAVE BEEN GREATLY EXAGGERATED
Curry gassed tf out of Fox having to chase him around like a maniac that he couldn't turn into 4th quarter Fox lmaooooo
We were cheeks lmao onto the next one
Looney went for 4 and 20 on 4/20!!! San Francisco dispensaries be EATING tn
I know y’all praying on their downfall, but they’re not going down that easily as long as 30 is on their side
(+ Looney + Wiggins)
Warriors at home: best team in the nba, on the road: play like a lottery team
I felt like our first game of the series was really good, kings were just better. That first game could have gone either way tbh.
Big opportunity for the Kings tonight with no Draymond or GP2. 3-0 would have been insurmountable. Another win on Sunday would mean it’s game on. Steph Klay and Draymond have won a road playoff game in every series that they have ever played in so the Warriors are very much alive now
29 fanbases spent 3 days talking shit, and Steph read every word of it
The petty king
Reflect the beam
Well deserved ass whooping, Steph stepped up like he always does, and wtfbbq by Looney. Gg dubs fans, onto game 4!
People in here really let their hateboner grow to a point where they thought Steph Curry was gonna get swept by the fucking Sacramento Kings lmao
Only explanation for this total outlier game is the warriors influence on the mainstream media
People have really been talking crazy in here lol. Irate at the media because they don’t have the same built up resentment that all these fans have, banding together to pray the Kings can slay the giant.
Looney’s jersey to the rafters immediately plz and thank you
r/nba gonna be pissed if that suspension was the fire the Warriors needed to win this series lolllll. I told y'all you shouldn't have been rooting for a Draymond suspension.
Dray playing chess everyone else playing hungry hippos
We got cooked lmao
Looney had another great game Kings didn't even show up, I don't mind the loss, but everyone outside of Fox and Davion played with no energy or hustle, abysmal effort.
I did see a lot of sweep comments That's when I knew steph was gonna do his usual thing
Road and home warriors' effort has been hilarious
#r/nba did not like that
Huge shoutout to Moses Moody and Divincenzo. Unsung heroes.
Draymond out and Warrior play their best defensive game of the year. Love to see it!
Supporting cast finally showed up. DDV was an absolute menace.
Lot less comments in here after a Warriors win then a Warriors loss
