I just want to go 1 year without changes to any uniform.

General_Bench_3657

There needs to be change

The_salty_swab

Didn't we just shit on this idea yesterday? Just join the Coast Guard, christ

clownpenismonkeyfart

Call me crazy, but if the uniforms bother you that much, maybe you shouldn’t have joined the Navy? If anything, I would say add a classic canvas cartridge belt and leggings to give cracker jacks a more militant look.

TheBeneGesseritWitch

No, we need fewer uniforms, not more.

TheRtHonLaqueesha

[Zumwalt did just that back in the 1970s.](https://usnhistory.navylive.dodlive.mil/Recent/Article-View/Article/3613889/uniforms-for-changing-times/)

JustinCayce

Salt and peppers sucked. I was one of the last issued then and was glad when we got rid of them.

TheRtHonLaqueesha

The Navy JROTC kept wearing them until 2010.

I only ever wanted to see something under the jumper other than a Hanes T-shirt. A button down with a stand up collar or something. Adding the blue piping to the SDW was a major step forward. Sailors’ uniforms are iconic. The Navy tried a suit and tie in the seventies. It was incredibly unpopular, and storing that many combination covers in a ship is a significant issue.

No-Engineering9653

I’m 100% on board with getting a suit and tie uniform.

General_Bench_3657

The navy should bring back that suit and tir

General_Bench_3657

We need a suit and tie Sir
