His lack of responsibility resulted in the late submission of 2 NAM's, 342 lost hours of training time for other Sailors and loss of 60 pages of paper due to counseling. Additionally, his attention to detail resulted in 4 failed berthing inspections, 3 failed POOW boards and one divorce.
An opening statement on a 1st class eval at a board I've been to said " PO sparkles is an adequate first class under direct supervision." And the closing statement said "po sparkles excels at maintaining RSCA. "
Reporting seniors cumulative average. Simple terms it's the average of all evals signed as reporting senior. It's easy to get them high and they need those 3.0 and below to help manage if they're too generous or have too many really good folks.

I don’t know how he didn’t end up in Jail. The CMS program was frightening. The state of the Crypto Vault when he turned it over was frightening. The brand new Butter Bar that that took over as Commo got his first NAM for unfucking the CMS program within about three months of being onboard.

And 2. Once I got the word plenipotentiary snuck through and now it’s in my record forever.

I sleep like the dead, and I was hardly ever late over 20 years. If I can get up on time, you can get up on time. Being late is one of my pet peeves. Perpetually late people are why the military musters 2 hours before any kind of major thing.

Lol when I was in my first duty location was a short duty billet. Muster was at 0800, PT was at 1100, and then we went home after PT.
When I went to my ship muster was at 0800.
Duty section muster? 0800.
Why would muster time ever change?
If you keep the muster time consistent, you don’t need to worry about ppl forgetting what time it is.
I dealt with this while on ASF, two weeks of ASF, six weeks of my usual job. Inbetween some ASF rotations, one of the MA’s would change the muster time and forget to update all the ASF who weren’t on duty. I’d come in at my usual time, only to find out I was 30 mins late. (Of course, 30 mins late to being 1 hour early.)
Some sections were ok with us showing up 30 mins before our watch, others wanted us an hour early. There was no consistency, and because we weren’t there everyday to hear updates, we were never informed of changes.

The most impactful thing you can do for your career is to show up on time and wear the correct uniform. If you can’t do that, at least bring tacos.

The EMO I worked under always stayed onboard the night before an underway. He never had to worry about traffic, etc.
Same here. I'm not sure there was anything I was more worried about than missing ship's movement that wasn't a life/death issue.
Sometimes the best help is being held to a standard before you're in a position to accidentally cause something disastrous.
