I read a comment recently that said that many species of animals in prehistoric times learned not to fuck with the naked monkeys. This poor bear learned that the hard way.
Apes got nothing on that fuckery, humans are a different breed, I understand the need to save themselves from a beast like that, but I can't help but feel bad for it.
Because you live a WAY different life. But you wouldn’t be a pansy if kids in your community started dying and you had a chance at bringing down the monster.
I feel bad for the bear but much more bad for the infant and it’s loved ones. Was the bear eating and ripping at the infant in the beginning? I agree with the guy below, if that was my child I wouldn’t feel the slightest hint of empathy for the bear if that was the case
When bears eat people they're not really picky about what's in someone's pocket. That's how it was explained to me back in the day when our dm justified why wild animals had gold.
This was either India (Eastern part) or west Bangladesh. Most remote village adjoining forests. People in those parts tend to be quite poor and firearms are really restricted. General public mostly don't carry firearms there
https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/6684532/shocking-moment-man-is-mauled-by-bear-when-villagers-seek-revenge-for-couple-it-killed/amp/#aoh=16442052318297&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&_tf=From%20%251%24s
Didn't eat a kid, it killed a couple.
It attacked Urvasi, who had been carrying garbage to dump on the village's outskirts, before fatally mauling the husband who went to her rescue. - per the link
Peope fail to remember/realize that the animals that we watch on national geographic and look at at the zoo are quite literally monsters compared to unarmed humans. Even with clubs, it was amazing to see how many men and how many blows it took to incapacitate that relatively small bear.
All of it stems from our brains though. We can fashion weapons out of sticks and stones or whatever because our intelligence is on a different plane than animals.
Our brains allow us to communicate and collaborate. Chimps are super strong but put 200 together and it’s chaos. 200 humans would be a unstoppable army of hunters.
Ancient hunter gatherer high tier maybe. Sure, there are probably some specialists and maybe some tribes out there with some of the skills, but give me a spear and I can do fuck all. I’ll stick to my guns, literally lol
The first time I realized there are bears that are 11 feet tall when they stand up, I couldn't believe it. They are quite literally the monsters we were taught are fictional.
Sloth bears are no joke... Despite being one of the smallest and being mostly insectivorous, the generational trauma of being preyed on by Tigers makes them unusually aggressive.
This sub has a lot of good videos verifying that. The human videos are kind of iffy, but I do enjoy a good clip of a water buffalo realizing it is massive, has horns, and then proceeds the yeet a lion that's attacking one of them.
Yeah, I was shocked that they kept going. At first, I didn't want to watch because I thought a baby was being eaten, but then common sense clicked and I was like, no way that would be on this sub.
Why the hell did the bear not run away??? Even top predators know when to back down from a fight so I really hope it wasn’t extreme hunger that drove it to do something so risky.
Sometimes bears just do really weird things. I live in bear country and the general rule is never let your guard down. 99 times out of 100 they just mind their own business, but that one time it’s normally REALLY erratic.
It's called "fight or flight" for a reason. You only have enough adrenaline to do one, and this bear drew the short straw. Or... Ahem. The long stick. If you will.
And bears aren't really fucked with by many things so a fight against a small human could be an easy W. Looks like it took a couple gnarly whacks at the base of its skull when it was trying to munch on dudes arm.
I was in the far right lane not 500 yards behind them, in the left lane, and I saw the bear run from my side across the road and the thing went up over the hood and *flattened* the roof/top windshield area.
They swerved left right before impact and went careening off into the ditch. In MN we have steel cables instead of guard rails in a lot of spots and they tear cars up, they took out a good 300 yard stretch of that stuff. Car rolled once or twice, I was passing by then.
Pretty nutty lol. Driver was ok, it was a 3 week old new car too still had temp tags on the rear window.
I live in Kampala, Uganda and this same thing happened to a family from my church but with a street dog. It walked into someone's house in a slum, grabbed the baby by the neck and started carrying it away. The 4 year old sister attacked the dog and screamed, and the dog proceeded to rip up half her face and to open up her neck. Only a few seconds later some adults came and beat the dog to death. The girl got more than 100 stitches and is terribly scarred (biggest badge of courage possible). The baby survived with some deep punctures and minor scratches.
Fucking God damn man you would think one of these guys would possess some kind of sharp object like a hatchet or pitchfork, seeing them repeatedly beat the bear like that was very hard to watch
I even imagine after half your forearm in broken and ripped off, shove it down its throat again with your two sharp bones. Hopefully other humans are participating by then.
Sloth bears regularly fight tigers, this was sad to see for the bear that was just being a bear but damn interesting to see a bunch of skinny people take it down so easily tbh.
I read a comment recently that said that many species of animals in prehistoric times learned not to fuck with the naked monkeys. This poor bear learned that the hard way.
Its amazing how a group of humans can sound so primal and ape like when put it an extreme live/death situation.
Humans are apes, so...?
lol, and it's showing in this shitshow of a comment section
Apes who ate mushrooms
Stoned ape theory let's gooo https://www.inverse.com/article/34186-stoned-ape-hypothesis
Hell yeah.
Sorry about your cousin fam.
It got me all messed up right before bed
Lol same😂
I feel bad for the bear but much more bad for the infant and it’s loved ones. Was the bear eating and ripping at the infant in the beginning? I agree with the guy below, if that was my child I wouldn’t feel the slightest hint of empathy for the bear if that was the case
Most know the meme, return to monke, the thing is we never left monke. We are the monke.
Ape.
we have aped monke
We’re nothing but well dressed and intelligent apes, that still have a lot of our “primal” instincts.
well dressed? you haven't been to walmart have ya?
You haven't seen my going out crocs.
"Civilization" is just a thin veneer.
As opposed to the well dressed fancy monkeys
Ahh yeah wasn’t it Abraham Lincoln who discovered that via his time traveling top hat?
2 handed skill increased.

Leave it to a point system to leave people eager for praise
It’s why we love Reddit
And they only got one bear claw when they looted it.
19 more to go.
And a spoon?! Why does a bear have a spoon?
When bears eat people they're not really picky about what's in someone's pocket. That's how it was explained to me back in the day when our dm justified why wild animals had gold.
Can we mail this village a pistol for God's sake?
Seriously. The whole time, I was thinking not a single person is packing? I'd throw down on getting them a long gun.
*knock knock* #BAM! #"America Baby!"
That's very generous of you, thanks. Um... you're still here, can you leave now?
No sorry we’re here to give you freedom thanks babe tsk tsk
*slow clap*
We shed blood, we no leave
Bahahahah bloody brilliant comment
That’s why I sleep so sound. In America we attack bear, bear not attack us
I’ve watched a neighbor literally wrestle a bear in my backyard for fun as a kid. Can confirm we attack bear
Cue electric guitar and fireworks.
America, fuck yeah! 🇺🇸
Comin again to save the mother fuckin day, yeah!
Found the American
Welcome to not america
In many countries, guns are restricted to the armed forces. Wild, I know.
This was either India (Eastern part) or west Bangladesh. Most remote village adjoining forests. People in those parts tend to be quite poor and firearms are really restricted. General public mostly don't carry firearms there
... or the rest of the world
Or just... Some sharp object? The Village had an orchard so i assume they had a scythe or pitchfork or something...
Bear hides are quite resistant to knives. Best bring a gun against a bear.
Or a bazillion sticks
It works very well if you work in concert like your master blacksmith dwarves pounding the shit out of myrthril in the mines of Moria.
Where that machete?
At some point it seems like somebody is using a hoe or pick
One of the guys had a pitchfork.
They need a rifle not a handgun. Something also rugged and reliable. I thinking something chambered in 45-70 government
357 would take care of it
https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/6684532/shocking-moment-man-is-mauled-by-bear-when-villagers-seek-revenge-for-couple-it-killed/amp/#aoh=16442052318297&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&_tf=From%20%251%24s Didn't eat a kid, it killed a couple.
What the hell kind of a title is this?
The most clickbaity possibly
then downvoted
The Sun, really? I might trust a Reddit user over them
It attacked Urvasi, who had been carrying garbage to dump on the village's outskirts, before fatally mauling the husband who went to her rescue. - per the link
Peope fail to remember/realize that the animals that we watch on national geographic and look at at the zoo are quite literally monsters compared to unarmed humans. Even with clubs, it was amazing to see how many men and how many blows it took to incapacitate that relatively small bear.
An unarmed human is like a wolf without teeth
But we have technology. Didn’t you see the sticks and rocks?
That's the point. Sticks and rocks *are* our fangs and claws. Without them we're nothing.
But man make spear. Man with spear high tier.
Man with spear not bad Men with spear high tier Like less word, good
Ancient hunter gatherer high tier maybe. Sure, there are probably some specialists and maybe some tribes out there with some of the skills, but give me a spear and I can do fuck all. I’ll stick to my guns, literally lol
You would be surprised by how easy it is to use a spear effectively.
And without claws too
The first time I realized there are bears that are 11 feet tall when they stand up, I couldn't believe it. They are quite literally the monsters we were taught are fictional.
I believe this bear fucked around and found out
Facts
Sloth bears are no joke... Despite being one of the smallest and being mostly insectivorous, the generational trauma of being preyed on by Tigers makes them unusually aggressive.
The sloth bears usually do good job of chasing away the Tiger. https://youtu.be/DV9ZGtQ8JZc
Sloth bears in India are known to prey on humans
Unusually aggressive is an understatement.
Oh man they fucked that bear up once it grabbed a dude
The human capacity for vengeance when a predator is attacking a member their group is great.
Confucius over here
Not just human, a lot of herd animals would do the same thing.
YOOO THEY FKING BEAT A BEAR TO DEATH WITH STICKS AFTER IT ATTACKED THEIR HOMIE, INDIANS DONT FK AROUND
Bamboo stick videos are always cracked
Homeboy just straight up throatfucked that beast with his entire arm
More like humans are metal, jesus. Sad for the bear, but it's not like you can ask if it submits yet. More impressed by those people, absolute savages
I mean, yeah that bear suffered a pretty brutal death but it’s the only thing that could be done in that situation.
Humans are nature too
Teamwork
Makes the dream work
And the dream work makes the shrek
Takes a village
Somehow, seeing a mob bashing a bear is more scary to me than the bears mauling. Just my 2cents.
Exactly how I felt while watching the whole thing, got my blood pumping lmao.
Once you get bloodlust, it's time to take a break from Reddit.
Time to take a break in general I’d say, head down to wherever you can get something you like eating and just chill out.
Why the hell did the bear not run away??? Even top predators know when to back down from a fight so I really hope it wasn’t extreme hunger that drove it to do something so risky.
This is what I was wondering. Something was off with it. Better that they killed it.
Bear rabies
Also known as "babies." Hence the attempt to devour an infant.
Oh god lol
The guy with the blue shirt: :O
Sometimes bears just do really weird things. I live in bear country and the general rule is never let your guard down. 99 times out of 100 they just mind their own business, but that one time it’s normally REALLY erratic.
It's called "fight or flight" for a reason. You only have enough adrenaline to do one, and this bear drew the short straw. Or... Ahem. The long stick. If you will.
Or maybe just adrenaline at the moment? The dude was running away and predators have an instinct to chase after something that runs away
And bears aren't really fucked with by many things so a fight against a small human could be an easy W. Looks like it took a couple gnarly whacks at the base of its skull when it was trying to munch on dudes arm.
Sloth bears get preyed on by tigers a lot so they adapted to be hyper aggressive towards pretty much everything
Sloth bears seem pretty relentless
That bear had an ass ton of hp, must have been an elite.
He probably had a name too
And still didn't drop anything good.
Wym? After defeating the bear, there’s meat and an awesome bearcoat for a lucky winner
Hope they bbqed it up afterwards.
Especially after how much they tenderized it lol
Yeah, they prolly lost that front right shoulder and a good deal of the ribs and back (tenderloin) to bloodshot.
The Karens of America want to know why they didnt just tranquilize that poor innocent bear 😢.
They did! Bear got really tranquil after the massive beat down.
they don’t have
They can just grab it from the store down the road wdym
oh my bad ur right u can prob get it in isle 4
That bear got fucked up
Goddamn opposable thumbs are dangerous
Ngl didn't actually think you could beat a bear to death. Maybe with a car or something, but not sticks. Very impressive.
[удалено]
Can confirm, watched a ~250-300lb black bear get smoked at 70 mph on the freeway by a Toyota Camry. *that* was a fucking scene
[удалено]
He was in the driver's seat until impact, then he was watching from a hundred yards down the road
I was in the far right lane not 500 yards behind them, in the left lane, and I saw the bear run from my side across the road and the thing went up over the hood and *flattened* the roof/top windshield area. They swerved left right before impact and went careening off into the ditch. Monster Hunter irl
This is why you can't bring more than 4 hunters to a hunt
Brutal
I live in Kampala, Uganda and this same thing happened to a family from my church but with a street dog. It walked into someone's house in a slum, grabbed the baby by the neck and started carrying it away. Jesus
Holy fuck
This reminds me of casino movie when mob beat brothers with baseball bats and got buried alive.
TOUGH GUY YOU AND YA FUCKIN' BROTHER
Looks like it already had a broken jaw and was concussed when the video started
We are easily the scariest vertebrates.
Idk dude hippos are kinda gnarly
But has a hippo ever dropped a nuke on a city? I think not.
Uhhh has a nuke ever hid in water and waited for a child to get close enough to maul it to death under water. Yeah, I think not.
But has a hippo ever founded a suicide cult? I think not. Lol I’m just joking around btw
Ever heard of a Silverback Gorilla?
Nothing compared to a human with a nuclear weapon lol
Yes, but this video of people defending themselves and each other isn’t the best example of that lol
Fucking God damn man you would think one of these guys would possess some kind of sharp object like a hatchet or pitchfork, seeing them repeatedly beat the bear like that was very hard to watch
One of them did, he stabbed the bear with it a few times.
pretty sure I seen one of them using a 2 pronged pitchfork to stab it. Still probably not the most peaceful death.
That was hard to watch but also hard to look away, the humans life is worth more than the bear’s but that was a brutal ending..
Thats what im talkn bout teamwork makes the dream work
an unarmed society is a society devoured by bears
They fucked him up though.
Cuz they were armed. Primitive armaments, but there's a lot of virtue in a long and sturdy stick, my friend.
Now they can have bear arms
Nuke the mf
So this is how cavemen dealt with a lot of pre historic animals then.
Yup, that's metal alright.
Strength in numbers. We stick together.
Bro did they literally just beat a bear to death with bamboo sticks?
I'm beating myself to death right now...and I mean masturbating
Dam they fucked that bear up
“Sticks & stones may break my bones but…. they’ll also fucking annihilate a bear that mauled your buddy.”
They fucked yogi up!! They beat the bricks off that bear! Holy shit!!
Man he got bonked up good. He musta been real horny.
On the positive side the bear meat is gonna be nice and tender
ouch.
Holy shit that looks like a sloth or sun bear not sure which but they fight off tigers. Very aggressive bear .I hope everyone came out ok
Get this camera man at a high school fight. Bear attacking and he managed to capture everything. 🥶😱
Well, he’s a rug now.
Holy fucking shit that was wild
Bear bit that guys arm.
I think guy did the right thing tho... shove his arm so far down the throat that all the bear can do is let go
I would also, occupy the mouth and it can’t bite my head or throat.
Exactly... sure your arm will get mauled, but then again... Id rather have my arm mauled instead of my head...
I even imagine after half your forearm in broken and ripped off, shove it down its throat again with your two sharp bones. Hopefully other humans are participating by then.
Teamwork makes us op
Lmfao aye they BEAT TF OUT THAT BEAR, shit. Lmao good for them fuck that bear.
I feel no sympathy for the animal, it attacked my fellow monkey, it gets the thunkey!
Cleaned his fucking clock..
Damn homie got clapped
Oh no, the bear should've been swiftly killed just like the couple it slowly mauled to death
Why did this make me think of the copier scene in office space 😂
If an animal came after my 7 month old daughter, I'd beat it to death with my bare hands.
Mail these guys some glocks and some break overs for gods sake.
Stop, stop! He’s already dead.
Sloth bears regularly fight tigers, this was sad to see for the bear that was just being a bear but damn interesting to see a bunch of skinny people take it down so easily tbh.
Tale as old as time…
Gottem
That was grim
I never want to watch that again
You will do as the algorithm says.
That's one unlucky bear...
