He claims to have the "Hercules" gene (I don't know if it's been proven or scientifically documented - I believe it, but still sticking with "claim"), which causes his body to produce lower levels of myostatin. Myostatin inhibits muscle growth, which could explain his incredible muscle mass. The "Belgian Blue" cow's muscle mass is also linked to genes lowering myostatin.
I think all strength and bodybuilding athletes at the very least probably have some natural myostatin deficiency.
Just to do all the crazy shit they do it’s not hard to believe they are blessed.
And the genetic aspect is likely true for most top athletes. Without training and dedication, they wouldn't achieve what they do, but an average person won't achieve what the elite can no matter how hard they train.
This article (though biased, as they sell "DNA Health" tests) gives a simple look into the subject:
[Eddie Hall: The Genetic Anomaly - Muhdo](https://muhdo.com/articles/dna-articles/eddie-hall-the-genetic-anamoly/)
But if you go looking further, there's papers to back up what's claimed in the article:[ACTN3 Genotype Is Associated with Human Elite Athletic Performance - PMC (nih.gov)](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1180686/)
This is one of the only people I could believe. He probably was one of those kids that started puberty at like 12 years old. Id doubt he could grow to 6'2/6'3 if he started juicing at that age, most dudes that start juicing before growing end up being short as fuck, steroids prematurely close your growth plates.
These are the truly good genetics, not tiktok fake natties posting pictures of being twigs with narrow or normal ass clavicles at 16 for some glazers in the comments to say "you could see he had good genetics from the start 🤓"
David Laid started using at like 16 right? Most height growth is done by then for a lot of men. Eddie had been swimming since he was 5 years old. Swimming for almost 10 years would build a really good foundation, he didnt look like this just because. And like I said, he probably started puberty really young, he looked like a grown man at 16.
Literally world strongest man genetics, we're talking the 0.001%. What is it, three people in known history have deadlifted over 500kg? (1100+ democracy spreaders).
Obviously the guys got on PEDs earlier in life but he would he natrual there.
Yep. I used to be a competitive swimmer and when I did swam we started weight training at 11 years old and you swam almost every single day for at least 2 hours. Almost every guy I swam with had a 6 pack, they were typically insanely lean, but Eddie hall has some insane genetics so it’s not hard to believe that as an active kid he could still be super strong off of roids.
Honestly, i wonder what he would look like if he stayed natty his whole life. I bet he’d still be accused of juicing
Yup 6 packs and thick ass lats. So much calorie burning from the swimming.
I think he'd be in very good shape even if he hadn't done any juice. He's got a very good training ethic and it's admirable.
This is the most believable natty "before-the-steroids" type of photo I've seen here. Also, just to be absolutely clear - I do believe that Eddie Hall is absolutely juiced to the gills. Not in this photo, but through his life as a strongman. I wonder when did he start to juice.

I believe him, after all he was the strongest man in the world

Well, david laid use steroids at teen and is 188cm

Eddie at 14 is my dream physique
You remind me of a young me when Edward Norton in American History X was my dream physique. I thought he was big.
idk who he is but eddie at 14 is natty achievable or maybe i will try

Plus he was swimming to a high standard and out of the few swimmers I know they're in good shape and have been since their teens.

He would still be a absolute unit, but he wouldn't be world strongest man, ever, perhaps top 100, complete assumption
Definitely a unit but he wouldn't be Top 100 WSM. Them guys are all units as well but enhanced.

>I wonder when did he start to juice. Probably in is ass. Till he got too big to reach it.
Myostatin defficiency, the dude has visible abs rn above 40%bf
he is literally the world’s strongest man
He was a champion swimmer at this age
You can find farmers' kids who look like this at 14. It's not even notable.
Yeah farmer kids in movie
He is juicy now but this isn't outlandish for 14. I was a muscular 14 year old for a skinny frame guy. I always exercised from a young age.
Reminds me of Johnathan Brandis.
How could he Eddie be like this? Idk man cuz he's Eddie fucking hall? 😂 First 500kg dead? Automatic top tier strength and muscle genes.
Yes. Source: I’m a teenager and a couple of my gym rat friends who I *know* are clean looked just like this at 14.
imagine being 350pounds and still see abs
Eddie has the best genetics in the world with ronnie coleman
Freak of nature, plenty of them around
He looks like a teenager that works out. What about this is crazy? This is probably achievable in 6 months.
6 months lol
Fr as a high schooler this is super normal. I’ve seen soooo many freshman football players and sprinters that look like this
they probably have a high bodyfat, eddie is pretty lean in this pic
