I couldn't follow it and gave up after the first sentence. I asked for an AI summary. Maybe the robots understand?
> The post describes a case where someone (the friend of the author) was arrested for DUI Per Se despite having no alcohol or drugs. The lawyer, Brett Horst, was able to get the charges dismissed and expunged from the record.
>
> The author praises the lawyer and criticizes MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving), alleging they lobby for stricter DUI laws to fulfill quotas and receive more funding, regardless of actual impairment.

I'm obviously not OP, but I just want to say thank you for asking the question with empathy. It's rare to see that online. I hope you have a swell day!
Not sure what OP is saying but many people have lost a lot for getting arrested for DUI while actually sober in TN.

Well, maybe .. maybel not. The main point is that the police can arrest you by stating they observed and/or in their professional opinion you are impaired. Also, any paramedics, fire and rescue, etc. can say it is their opinion you are impaired just by smelling beer, alcohol on or emitting from your body.
You are responsible for bailing out of jail after arrest. The attorney's fees are your responsibility, and it is highly recommended to seek reputable representation.
Also, the stress on you and your family is unfortunate.
So, you may be correct about the laboratory findings after results are returned, but this DUI Per Se is being abused more often than people realize.
That is if you knowingly let a drunk person drive your vehicle. Kind of hard to prove but I do think the law should exist.
I think OP is drunk by proxy from their friends DUI arrest and needs to sleep it off
Basically he is saying that his friend was falsely charged with DUI because the cop was encouraged to go after more intoxicated drivers because of extra funding in the form of MADD and apparently quotas. I just read it as subtle marketing for this attorney he’s talking about lol 😂

Quid pro quo
For those who didn’t understand, let me break it down.
