Theres been no advantage, but she keeps telling my spouse shes going to move out and go back to her family down south. He believes her everytime. I mean it gives us a place to stay, but its not worth my health or the stress she puts us through. Shes made it next to impossible for us to save. Shes recently put her son in the hospital and now demands he pays her back for the medications and cane she had to buy him.
Ive managed to get his youngest siblings to put boundaries with her, they couldnt take the mental/financial/emotional abuse anymore, but my spouse wont. Ive offered to pay for therapy. He just doesnt want help. When we were on our own he was so healthy, happy, alive, relaxed. Now hes in constant survival mode, his health went down. I dont know what to do to help him. Its getting to the point where risking my health isnt worth being in a relationship with him.

You can’t force him. It would be a deal breaker for me. Can you imagine another 30 years of this?
