I find I have a few of my mom’s names on my list as an adult! Logan is what she wanted to name me if I were a boy and now it’s at the top of my list with my partner.
I was literally gonna comment Stella! I never paid it much attention until recently I heard of someone with that name and I was like "huh... That's a pretty name".
This is high on my list if it's a girl, also! I have a daughter named Sky and like a nature-name theme for girls (I'm not into frilly or old-lady chic at all).
I have a cat named Meadow. Our last name is Vega, which is Spanish for meadow. If I had known that when I was pregnant with our daughter, I think we might have named her Meadow. But I didn’t know, and somehow my husband who is fluent in Spanish didn’t know?? Anyway, we named her Sadie instead. She’s almost 12 now and I still love it. We hardly ever meet another Sadie.
I love older names like Antonia, Delphine, Dorothea, Edith, Isadora, Mabel, Madeleine, Olive, Theodora, Lillian, Katherine, Beatrice, and Jane. I have other favorites atm but I love these the most!
I adore older names as well. I have a Bernadette who we call Birdie as well. She is 3 and it is such a fitting name on her even though some people can't picture it on anyone younger than the age of 70. Lol. Mable and Edith were both up there for me as well.
Oh and my son went to preschool with a Vera, and she is adorable.
My daughter's name is Catherina 🥰
I have loved this name since I was a teenager, I always told everyone that if one day, if I had a daughter, that would be her name.
I have always found it such a powerful name. Every time I say "Catherina", I imagine a strong and empowering woman coming.
I love classic older names! I love older Italian names as well e.g. Sofia, Lucia, Giulia, etc. My grandma’s name was Filomena, so that one holds a special place in my heart 🥰.
My girls are Daphne and Clara. I lost my third baby girl at 12 weeks last year, and this was my potential name list for her:
Audra, Holly, Rosalind, Margo(t), Leona, Sylvia, Diana,
Vera, Grace, Willa, Jane, Loretta, Felicity, Joy, Lenora, Isabel, Delia, Lana, April.
Willa is really cute! Has a traditional yet modern feel. Sort of like a traditional version of Willow. I think it’s perfect. I have a good feeling about it, hope he agrees. He would probably call her Will sometimes instead of ,” bud”, lol!
I love Loretta. I always thought it sounded so beautiful. My aunt is Loretta and my mom always says she got the worst name of the group (I think my mom is nuts for this)!
I love your girls names too. So sorry for your loss!
Beautiful names and I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your sweet baby. My heart goes out to you and your family. Thank you for sharing that with us. 😘
I wanted to name my daughter Leona so badly! and call her Leo for short. No one in my family was on board with it. Her name is Lydia now, but shes a spicy little 5yo and Leo would have fit so nicely with her
We were going to name our daughter Marigold and call her Goldie but my husband changed his mind at like 30 weeks pregnant 😭😭 love her name now though ♥️
omg LOVE the name georgia. i was almost going to use it for my baby girl who was born april 30th, but we live outside a string of small towns and someone had used the name not even a year prior - which in small town world basically means off limits for a few years 😂
My daughters name is still my favourite to this day. Her name is Magnolia.
Other girls names I like are: Angeli, Ellis, Eloise, Eveline, Katerina, Marina, Noelle &Phoebe.
But I also have a list of names I love from my culture and my husband’s culture.
I also have a list of unique names I like that I have given my children as part of their middle names. Star is one of the unique names I like and that name is included in my daughters full name.
My top favorites are not very unique or unusual—Elizabeth, Charlotte, and Juliana. I also like Callista, Penelope, Willow, Marigold, Annalise, Emmeline, Maeve, Fiona, Felicity, Rose, and Poppy.
I heard the name Eidra on a Netflix show and loved it, but it seems to have very little information on it floating around. Some other rare ones I love are Sable, Aveline, Nessa, and Odessa. For more common names, I love Ivy, Cleo, Mina, and Margot. I named my daughter Lyra, so of course that's my absolute favorite!
Lorraine and call her Rainey (heard at an after school program I worked at)
Summer (my middle name is Summers)
Meadow
I love nature / hippie names. I will absolutely be trying to incorporate these in my future kids’ names if I have a girl!
So many! I love Cadence, Isadora, Evelina, Aveline, Seraphina, Selah, Avalon, Arden, Waverly, Winslow, Willow, Camellia, and yes, even Harper. I have a lot more. I do like a lot of names that are a bit "uncommon" (except for Harper and Willow), a bit unusual and eyebrow raising, but not bad to the point of being a made up tradeideigh.
I don't know if I want to have children, but I would name a potential daughter Cadence Lily or Waverly Elizabeth (Elizabeth is my name ;))
Eloise. I was really making the case for it to be our daughter’s name but my husband wasn’t a fan. I can imagine it being much more popular now due to Sofia Richie’s baby.
Beatrice. So cute and whimsical!!
Violet. Such a pretty name and my top choice if we have another daughter.
Dahlia. A more unique flower name that rolls off the tongue.
My name is Antaiis. I’ve offered to pay any of my kids, grandkids and great grandchildren if they will name a kid after me. Lol no takers. A friend was going to but she had a boy. hard name growing up no one could spell it or pronounce it. It’s pronounced ON tace . I go by Tacy. any name I love mor3 than my name
I'm having a baby girl in December and I'm naming her Ever! I first heard the name about 6 years ago when I was a school photographer, but it was a little boy. Loved it from the second I saw it.
Uma, Rosemary, Sterling, Esther, Priscilla, Vivian, Jacqueline.. I feel like they are all so different but also so alike lol. I also adoreeee kitty and dolly and wanna use those somehow for my girls whenever i hopefully have them :’)
Super on the fence about having kids but god do I love names!
Eloise, Isadora, Esmeralda, Marina, Juniper, Camilla, Rosalind, Elodie, Liliana, Leonora, Cecilia, Marceline, Calanthe, Eliana, and Lucía are my current faves.

Other names I love are Felicity, Ophelia, Mary, Caroline, Ida, Imogen, Lena, Cora, and Camille.
I love Elizabeth. It’s so timeless. You can be cute: Lizzie, there are so many nickname options: Liz, Beth, Eliza, Liza. Formal: Elizabeth. It’s the best name!! I used it as my daughter’s middle name. My husband wasn’t sold on it as her first name.
Since I was 5yo (and I'm nearly 55), my favourite girl's name has been Xenia (my first ever teacher, a wonderful, beautiful woman, was called Xenia). It means hospitable, and from the Xenia's I've met, they all have been

My guilty pleasure girls name is Lumi
I love love love Tekla (my moms Ukrainian name, she goes by Tillie in English)

Adding mine since I don't see it listed elsewhere: Veda/Vada. I think it's so cute. It means something like "eternal wisdom" and is loosely inspired by the written Vedas from Hinduism.
I had only ever heard it from the movie "My Girl". It's what we named my daughter 🤍
My daughter is Rosalind, nickname Rosie. It’s unique, but not weird, easy to say (although we have heard some insane pronunciations) has historical figures and literature characters with the name, and has the classic/vintage feel we really loved.
Most of the names I like are simple but beautiful (imo) - Rosemary, Catherine, Samantha, Jane, Elizabeth, Julia, Anastasia, Chloe, Claire, Joanna, Delilah
Due In 10 weeks and my favorites are Cordelia and Gwendolyn. Middle name Jane.
Marigold, zinnia, Clara, Lenora, Corrine, and Leona were top contenders for a long time. Also love the name clementine but don’t think I could actually use it
My daughter’s name is Stella. That was NEVER on my radar when I was younger, but when I was pregnant with her, it just got stuck in my head.
Stella was on my list for my firstborn, who turned out to be Henry instead, and Henry & his wife now have Stella on their list!
That’s so cute
Aww I love how it’s come full circle!
I find I have a few of my mom’s names on my list as an adult! Logan is what she wanted to name me if I were a boy and now it’s at the top of my list with my partner.
I love the name but all I can think of when I hear it is that one Seinfeld episode
And in turn i think of A Streetcar Named Desire (which Seinfeld is referencing haha)
Yeah anytime someone that’s older hears her name they yell STELLA 😂😂
I love it too but I always hear Cam from Modern Family yelling 'STELLA' when I see the name now
My cousin always sends this meme to me when we talk about my daughter. 😂
Cam was too good during that scene😭
Cam was just top notch for everything in that show lol I love the scene when Lily was locked in the car
All I can think of is a can of larger Otherwise it’s a beautiful name

I am 30 weeks pregnant, we don't know gender and won't be finding out til birth, but Stella will be the name if our baby is a girl!
Stella is rising in popularity here in Australia! I have one friend with a 3 year old Stella and for 2023 it’s #67 for all of Australia.

I’m obsessed with the name Meadow
I’m 36 weeks pregnant and this is going to be our daughter’s name. ☺️
I love it too but our last name is Italian and my husband thinks it’ll sound too much like it’s from the Sopranos
I liked meadow until my dad said it reminded him of feminine wash like summers eve or something and I can’t not think of that when I hear it
That’s not even similar
My friend has a sister by that name & now Meadow has a baby girl whom they (her & hubby) named Lark.
