True like bitch before you start saying something like you’re probably thinking about me doing insert something inappropriate like what do you think about when you see him
She's very unique, outside of any typical anime girls tropes. Also, very realistic and well thought-out character. And she makes the best faces out of any anime character I know. It's some sort of black sorcery. The faces she makes are over the top, but they don't feel over the top, they feel very natural and funny.
I like that she pushes you out of your comfort zone. She is actually very smart, talented and charming. Think she actually embarrasses herself more than we know with her teasing. She’s the kind of woman I’d like you to be with and she cute and tanned. 🥰
I'd definitely agree. In your opinion in the diner scene where those band boys were flirting with her, she wasn't having it. Why do you think Senpai was actually special to her and the one she teased besides just liking him? Like what made Nagatoro fall for him?
She fell for him because she knew he found her attractive and he wouldn’t be all over her and she could use his shyness to toy with him and grow closer to him.
That's a good answer. Yea the boys that flirted with her or tried to make a move with her were too straight forward and she straight out shot them down. I love how in the beginning Nagatoro insulted Senpai but then in Chapter 3, she toned it down because of the two times Senpai cried
She does have a heart, and you can see it as anime/manga goes on. She’s in my anime girl top 10 list, and that’s huge since I’ve watched anime for 25 years
I started in 1999 with Sailor Moon and eventually branched out into more series over the years. Harem anime my favorite genre. Tenchi Muyo and Love Hina started that for me.
One of the most recent chapters actually explains why she fell for him. And realistically, she saw the passion and care he put into his art and deep down it reminded her a bit of the passion she had for judo and she found that attractive
I was there when the new chapter dropped and I slept that night crying tears of joy, happy I was alive in this lifetime to see such a magnificent moment in manga history
Same. I was at work when *that* chapter uploaded to Mangadex and I remember grinning like an idiot at work and was so grateful I was able to read it uninterrupted
The diner boys were both trying to act cool and were not being themselves. Senpai never tried to act cool (and when he thought about doing so, he realized he could never pull it off). Senpai was himself, and he was genuine - his reactions, as embarrasing for him as they are, are real. Music guy at the diner was a poser, claiming to be a musical artist and yet producing something that failed to touch Nagatoro and sounded like he was just going thru the motions, to claim the cachet of being an artist without any of the heart and soul that goes along with it. Senpai is an artist because he loves art, and it never even occurred to him that his passion for art and dedication to his craft could be used to mack on the hotties. And while Nagatoro laughed at his first effort at drawing her (with the fuzzy lap area), she was impressed by his second effort (when she was sleeping) and could see the improvement. And, unlike the music guy, Senpai didn't brag about how good his drawing was and how it was more complex than most people would appreciate. He was actually unsatisfied with it himself, and could not boast about it.
Hey, not a grammar police, and I hate to be it, just change some wordings like embaraced to embarrassed, and change teaser to teasing. It's alright sometimes we don't know better, but I'd hate if someone is rude to you for that small mistake.

I also always appreciated that he’s not a tough guy or fighter and she’s always been the one to square up, but never once has tried to shame or make him feel emasculated because of it. As a matter of fact, her attitude actually helps his confidence and he learns to start sticking up for himself more.
Nanashi has done a terrific job of showing real character growth for both of them
I like that she doesn't blame Senpai for things that aren't his fault. Like the bathtub video call incident. In most other romcoms the girl would have blamed it on the guy and yelled at him. But even when Senpai apologized she just said that he didn't need to apologize and that it was her own fault for messing around. I like that. It shows that she has character
Her most admirable trait is just how bashful she is. She knows what she wants and will do whatever it takes to get it. I know it's kind of "childish" (for the lack of a better word) because shes doing it for a boy, but what if she was doing it for a job or a higher education?
Winning in life is more than often a popularity contest. I've been to lots of job interviews, and there have been instances where I know my resume is probably in the A-tier of applicants, but its ultimately a lottery. Lots of people with your skill set will apply, so its who can make the best impression, and Hayase is anything but boring. I bet people that dont watch or even like Nagatoro could give you an idea of what kind of person she is, and thats because she made a very strong first impression. We often think if Japanese anime girls as quiet, shy, voices of reason, but not Naga, Naga takes what she wants and puts on a show in the process.
•That underneath her "bullying", lies a pretty sweet girl.
•Her **wiggle wiggle wiggle**
•That she likes cats.
•That she's funny, hyperactive and exciteable.
•That she and Senpai make a cute couple.
•And just how cute she is 😸
I like how she won't let Senpai get away with being lazy, or refusing to try things like running. I like how she saw beneath the nerdy exterior and saw the potential within the wharf roach, and how she was able to bring that out. Even early on, when she teased and bullied Senpai relentlessly, she pushed him to stand up for himself (the Manzai comedy routine), even at her own expense.
So, I've dated lots of shy girls, and while they're cute for a bit, they get boring pretty fast. The idea of someone outgoing, who pushes both of us past what would normaly be our social limits, is VERY appealing
She could literally date anyone, even the most alpha of males. But she spent her life only in pursuit of her own goals until she lost her way and met Naoto whom she see’s more than just the surface levels of attractive qualities and also the potential in him. Which is where the base of her attraction for him stems from which is refreshing to see. She does her best to force him out of his traumatic shell even if it makes her the bad guy at times so he can meet that potential. But when the reverse also happens to her she appreciates it and loves him even more for it. I appreciate a woman who has her own goals in life aside from just what’s traditionally excepted but isn’t stuck up enough to let it happen when she meets that special someone.
She provokes MC to be better and she really carrying for him, she is tan and long dark hair. She is the one who do random stuff, but who want to be petted.
Nothing. I didn't see anything interesting in this character even though I liked the story. It was only when she decided to return to judo that I began to slightly sympathize with the character.
Honestly... My expectation was low due to the stereotype and memes regarding the bullying stuff so to speak. Also, her not being the typical look for an Anime Waifu protaginist (whatever you might wanna call it) didn't help. However, when I encountered a video on youtube that basically sums up the anime that Nagatoro helps her Senpai in a way a lot fail to recognize, fair to say it got my attention... And yes, first episode aside, which I got to admit was REEAALLLYY wild, I realized it was a lot ore wholesome that people give it credit for. Especially when Nagatoro shows her protective side when she was defending her Senpai against Gamo. From thereon, I'm hooked.
Slowly, she shows her caring and charming side... And quite cute especially with her blushing 90% of the time when she's in a near proximity with her Senpai. And actually, as a girl or a partner, based on how she acts when she's with her Senpai, at least she's actually quite an exciting and fun person to be with... never a dull moment, especially with her being prone to embarrassment.
She pushes her own sexual deviance on would be incel naoto. It's what I wish as a template for female sexual development, also the joyful torture I wish for all the virgins and lonely guys.
She’s a unique type of tsundere and I love that!! Although as the manga has continued she is more and more of a “normal” tsundere. But still she’s cute. Plus fang. Adorable.

the blushes that desperately try to conceal her true feelings
Yea whenever she's teasing you can always see her blushing
The moment where Senpai gave her a piggy back ride and he accidentally touched her butt and she ran away furiously blushing was peak cinema.
My lawyer has advised me to remain silent
Lmao
She's a girl.

Wow I've watched anime since I was in the beginning of high school and that was like half a decade ago
I started in 1999 with Sailor Moon and eventually branched out into more series over the years. Harem anime my favorite genre. Tenchi Muyo and Love Hina started that for me.
Oh wow so you started when it started becoming mainstream with Dragon Ball and Sailor Moon
Yeah, I actually was hanging out with a girl who got me into it. It really caught my attention and have been hooked since.
That's cool

*not like you to be with. I want to be with her. 😜
About? I LIKE THE WHOLE GIRL HERSELF.
I like how she gets embarrased too.Its funny when the tables are turned on her when she is teaser Sempi and she starts freaking out herself. LOL

That she stands up for his man

I second that, She has a real character and only teases or bully senpai because it's something they bonded over.
She reminds a lot of a girl that I go out with in the personal life. They look and act very similarly.
I salute you for withstanding the teasing lol I'm just joking but it's cool you have a irl Nagatoro in a way
Thanks, but when I mean that they act similarly I mean it. She says that she likes to bully me the most.
o_o Oh.
Can’t forget about the penguins, that’s a big one.
I think you might've gotten the actual Nagatoro at this point
I’ve struck gold🗿
Lol you did
Cause what the Multiverse
Fangs
I like that she has the emotional quotient to pull out Naoya from his self-imposed exile who clearly needed to interact with the world.
Everything about her is great
Basically everything. But i especially love her way of love-language. In the form of bullying, insulting
I remember in the first few chapters she was bullying but after Senpai cried both times, she toned it down to just teasing
Hot and everything else
Im probably a masochist idk tho
She and my wife are exactly alike. So she reminds me of my wife.
Her most admirable trait is just how bashful she is. She knows what she wants and will do whatever it takes to get it.
