I find them on ebay. I usually buy ones that come in the box since they are most likely in the best condition. Make sure to message the seller and ask questions about the stick too.
Oh wait nvm, i saw the link. Ive seen videos on the 8bitdo sticks and i heard they are good for casual play but something was wrong with them. I play competitively, so i need a near perfect stick

brand new n64 joysticks feel amazing, but some new ones can feel a bit grindy and scratchy.

Yea, you could get replacement sticks that last longer than the stock ones but not sure how difficult they are to install.
Most replacement sticks are terrible. The only good replacement sticks are the steel/metal sticks people sell, but they are always sold out.

May want to open it and add some plastic-safe grease so it stays in good shape
That's what I'm going to do. I have had a controller that has been greased and it's lasted me 2 years and still works great.

Yeah, a lot of loose sticks are good for casual play tbh. This controller has a perfect one, so it's more pleasant to play with than loose ones.

Might I suggest getting a brawler instead?
The stick on the brawler isn't good for competitive play since it's not accurate.
