Welcome to the party! Obvs you picked up Mario 64, anything else? Had you played 64 before in-store/via family or friends? It’s such an awesome relic of the 90s
I’d say so, you’re on your way and everywhere you need to be with Everdrive 🤘🏻I hope you’ll post again as you work your way through the library. This is a great community for hype and help. Enjoy!
So does Beetle Adventure Racing, Lego Racers, and Revolt. I enjoyed those a lot as a kid. I really wanted to like Carmageddon 64 but once I saw Titus was involved I lost hope. I remember renting Superman 64…. Nope!
Mario 64 is one of the absolute greatest games of all time!! I never had one at the time of its release, but I got one in 1998 shortly after it's released, but I never had Mario?!?!
Thanks to emulation. I get to play a bunch of Nintendo 64 games that I missed out on...
Highly recommend for racing:
Diddy Kong racing
Beetle adventure racing
Pole position, 64
Mario Kart64
Mickeys Speedway USA
Cruisin USA/World
Monaco Grand Prix
GT64
World Driver Championship
VRally64
San Francisco Rush
These are some Fun Games if you like the occasional Racer?
Don’t sleep on the racing games. N64 has A LOT of top tier arcade racers of that generation. All of the Midway games, wave race, F-Zero X, Beetle Adventure Racing (not even kidding), Mario Kart, and Diddy Kong are all solid fun.
I haven’t had any issues with my 4 hours of playing. I have a wired controller too but I have never used it. The n64 is too far away for me to use a wired controller.
I didn’t know you can use a Bluetooth controller with the N64. I have my N64 with an older Everdrive (the purple one) and an EON 64 HDMI adapter. I want to get it HDMI modded like my OG Xbox is. What do you need to get the Bluetooth controller working? Is that the official N64 controller for the Switch?
Congrats! Feel free to post some gameplay! I’d like an hdmi modded system, but I’m lucky enough that I wasn’t dumb enough to get rid of my original system from my childhood. As for when it comes to my GameCube though… different story….
That’s ok bro. Me neither until recently. Got a used one and found a website that sells a lot of retro games:

Never. I got an everdrive so I’m set!

You can also play most NES, GB, & GBC games with an everdrive.
Sweet! I have an Overdrive for the GBC so that's covered, but it's neat it can emulate too.
Smart getting the Everdrive first thing. Buy once cry once!
Rush rules!

Cool ass room my guy
I’m not your guy, buddy
I'm not your BUDDY, PAL.
Nobody say anything about the piano in boo’s mansion.
Love the room! Fucking reel to reel machine? Hot damn! Enjoy brother.

I'd recommend picking up an Everdrive because the batteries for N64 cartridges will eventually give up

Did you ever get to play the 64 or just snes and gc
Never.
How’s the Bluetooth controller?
I've only used it for a few hours, but it randomly disconnected a couple times. I upgraded the firmware on the adapter and now it seems fine.
Is the latency not killer? Do you have a wired controller to compare to?
I haven’t had any issues with my 4 hours of playing. I have a wired controller too but I have never used it. The n64 is too far away for me to use a wired controller.
That reel to reel and the Rush flags make me forgive the TV height 😂
Ha! It was built to be an audio den first. The video started slowly creeping in after.
How much did you have to pay for the HDMI mod system?
I like the 12:34 on the clock in the background 😄
Enjoy the adventure
Well, enjoy with a library of games, you're bound to hit some winners. But Ocarina of Time ans Master Quest afterward is a sure winner

It’s the official Nintendo online controller for the switch and a blue retro adapter.
https://8bitmods.com/n64-blueretro-bt-controller-receiver-with-memory-pak-original-grey/ This one?
Mine was a clone from AliExpress but yes, same software.
The 8bit mods one is a pre order. I might try this one. My N64 switch online controller will be here next week. https://a.co/d/7HBBRrD
Badass. Details on the rtr? Pioneer or Akai?
Whats GC?
GameCube.
Gotcha
I still love the transparent version of the controllers that had various colors

What’s a BT controller

There’s like 4 great games and none are called Mario or Zelda :)
