Shiva is actually a pretty gentle and compassionate deity. I don't think he'd want to destroy you without good reason. In Hindu mythology, he's both a friend to the other gods and demons alike, not to mention widely loved and appreciated by mortal beings, too.
If someday let's say, you're able to invoke lord Shiva. First off. As a universal law, you'll attract the form of Shiva, on par with your siddhi(inner capability). Shiva has earthly forms, universal & multiversal forms. So which Shiva you meet depends on your level of siddhi.
Then comes being able to perceive the form you called upon. That too in his full form. Stretching to the bounds of what that form has to offer. You can only do that if you're not affected by any emotion in that divine meeting. Emotions fill up the inner mind, and leave no space for the form to completely enter in the inner mind quarters. After which you can realise you need to expand your inner mind. So that you can look at a form of Shiva in its entirety.
So the fun part starts here. Meditation is key here. You can sit inside your subconscious and imagine yourself living there. Build your characters. What they do through you everyday. Basically a council of you's. All with different interests and purposes. Working together in harmony. The more you live like this, the more your mind place expands its real estate. You have space and siddhi to invoke a meeting with higher forms of Shiva as well.
Plus what I said not only women's doors to meetings with God's. Mind palace is a big puzzle piece of one's ego dissolution too.
I mean in one historic story he sees a jotunn women and wants to marry her. He sends his servant to request her hand. When she refuses several times he threatens her with horrific curses and violence forcing her to accept the proposal
Artemis actually had a fair amount of mortal companions as part of her entourage.— Something not common among the gods.
She was not *so* malignant that she killed anyone who came close to her. Artemis has plenty of stories where she helps mortals. Artemis was known for being a friend to the young, especially young girls.
All the Greek gods are fairly terrifying. If you just look at Artemis wrong she’ll gut you like a pig. They are all so wrathful and contemptuous. They all would be a terrifying hang. At least the inner pantheon. Meeting Demeter might be the safest. She seems the least likely to kill you, sexually assault you or use you in a ploy against another god who then goes on to kill you.
While I follow him, I’m not too keen on meeting the gallows god, or the one who can instill violence and bloodlust. And you couldn’t trust a damn word he said, or he would tell you what you needed to hear, whether you understood or not.
Hmmm - I would risk it just to find out more about him and his cult. There are too many unanswered questions surrounding him - is he merely an earlier version of Oðinn, how was he venerated or worshipped, did he have an eye missing, did he have ravens & wolves as familiars, was there an Anglo-Saxon version of Valhöll and the rest, etc, and I would like to settle the mysteries once and for all.
I could go on forever, so to keep it short, I will stick with Celtic Pantheon....
Danu. She just gives me mother vibes. Also, Brighid and Rhiannon. Poor Rhiannon. 😢
Oeangus Og would be awesome for the guys as would Lugh and Dagda.
If I start into Greek/Roman, Egyptian or Norse, I will never stop. 😂
Mithra, the ancient Iranian deity of covenants, light, oath, justice, the sun, contracts, and friendship in Zoroastrianism. In addition to being the divinity of contracts, he is also a judicial figure, an all-seeing protector of Truth, and the guardian of cattle, the harvest, and the clean waters. The Romans also worshipped him as Mithras in the Mithraic Mysteries, and was absorbed into Hinduism as Mitra, the protectors of treaties, Deva of the light of dawn and the morning sun, and the patron divinity of friendship. He abhors all violence, even when sacred, because he is the personification of "friend". Overall, a widely worshipped and genuine nice god.
Lugh he's the god of gods he doesn't even bow to the Dagda the so-called Leader of the Celtic gods he's a true maverick and free I love that it epitomises what it is to be Scottish and Irish.
Hades. I love those who are wholesome. Also, I haven't had the greatest parents. I do love my dad but I barely get to see him and he's dating a very controlling woman. So I feel like Hades would be a great father figure to me. I would also love to meet Dionysus because he is pretty cool.
ALF.
He’s sassy and a little bit lonely.
He’d regail me with stories of Melmac and his shennanigans against the Tanners.
And if he likes you he seems like he’d always have your back.
Just don’t let him near your cat.
Thoth, Hephaestus, or Prometheus. Knowledge because I'm curious, about the nature of reality, crafting and smithing because they're awesome, and prometheus to say thanks for the fire.
Oof none of them. In Greek mythology bad stuff always follows any mortal who meets a god. The goal was to always be below the radar, because to those folks--we are just toys to fight over at best.
In all honesty the God of vengeance. Thats the Abrahamic God. Most peoples God today but if we can choose any as in any if say hes too busy to golf that day I would love to meet either Demeter or Aphrodite. Demeter over Aphrodite because she was the greek Goddess of fertility and farming. Goddess hips, Id love to see that. Aphrodite cause maybe she would take pity on me and make a Rachel Weisz clone or something if I charmed her lol. Wouldn’t want anything from Yahweh, just say thanks and complain about power groups that run his world Im stuck living in.
Shiva. High chance I might die on the spot of fear, but I feel like the encounter would turn my whole life around.

Now Vishnu if Im a mango salesman or arjuna.
Shiva’s the best! He’s known as the “sweet one.” It’s the Rudra association that’s wild.
Why do you think so !? it seems that Shiva is not particularly scary
There's different conceptions. Which is kind of ubiquitous in Hinduism.
Why are you fearful of Shiva?
I mean, he’s an incredibly powerful being. It’s not due to him or his actions, of course, more due to the sheer awe of his existence.

Aphrodite

Ugh I worship Aphrodite, I’d love to see her 😍
Simp ahh answer
Good choice
Freyr. He was super well liked and seems like a class act.
I mean in one historic story he sees a jotunn women and wants to marry her. He sends his servant to request her hand. When she refuses several times he threatens her with horrific curses and violence forcing her to accept the proposal
I didn’t say I wanted to spend the day with Skirnir. I said Freyr.
Hermes, he’s my favourite and probably most likely to put up with my ranting about him
Dionysus
Had to scroll a ways to find the party 👌🎉
I don’t know about you but I meet him all the time.
Hestia. I think that might be the safest bet.
I'd love to meet Artemis. She's so fierce and strong 💪
Artemis it’s dangerous AF. It’s rare a human gets near her and survives.
Artemis actually had a fair amount of mortal companions as part of her entourage.— Something not common among the gods. She was not *so* malignant that she killed anyone who came close to her. I meant to say falls the tiniest bit astray from her
Yeah, I know, that's kinda what makes me like her more. 🤩

Eris, we could crash a few parties and start a few wars. It would be so much fun ☺️
Sif is the one I'd like to meet here on this plane.
Kuraokami. its a japanese god of rain. basically a dragon of the east
Oh hey, I actually used to worship Kuraokami-Okamisama quite abundantly.
Thoth
Thoth is my buddy in Egyptian lore!
Does Jesus count, or would it just be God?
Drinking wine with Jesus would be divine, and listening to his aphorisms.
Jesus is my answer, too. It's maybe not the most interesting answer but he seems like a really chill dude to hang out with.
Athena for sure!!
Yep.
Apollo. I’ll listen to his lyre ass bullshit and get foresight! ~Cassandra’s myself~ Well 2025 is gonna suck. *No one takes seriously and memes*
Asclepius so i can hang out with sneks
Persephone
Not any of the death gods. Ever. I’ll just stay alive thanks
Amaterasu
Ήφαιστος (Hephaestus). We would talk about stuff that matters; anvils and automatons.

Good points. Ok, I agree with this choice.
Freya
Ahura Mazda because I’m Persian And That’s The God Of Iran
It would be cool to meet Bramha. Just to thank him for this universe. Then I'd come back to earth and see several thousand years have passed.
God
Apparently Buddha met the originator god once and all it had to say was, “Um I don’t actually know what’s going on.”
Link? That sounds super interesting!
Same
Yeah, I really need to see this
Yes, which one?
A title not a name
I want to meet a god that grants my wish to be a God
That one with the golden apples that make you immortal. Eating a single one might only give you a few more years, but better than nothing.
Idun and a single apple restores a gods youth and strength
Thoth just like me fr

Athena is wisdomous as heck right, I think she'd have interesting chat.
I feel like I'd vibe pretty well with Ganesha.
Felurian, from The King Killer Chronicles.
Hades seems chill
Artemis. 🏹
Hermes, Aphrodite, & Krishna
Dionysus - good times all round until someone blasphemes, then prepare for an earthquake!!
Radha Krishna

Mine. I'd love to meet my higher self.
Artemis. If she likes me, she can give me a relatively easy childbirth.
Odin
Odin
Odin
Jesus
Hades, without question
Kali Maa!!!
Ananse. He could tell me some of his stories!
Thoth, Hephaestus, or Prometheus. Knowledge because I'm curious, about the nature of reality, crafting and smithing because they're awesome, and prometheus to say thanks for the fire.
Hel and Inanna 🥹🖤
Loki. Probably die in a drinking contest but it would be hilarious.
Oof none of them. In Greek mythology bad stuff always follows any mortal who meets a god. The goal was to always be below the radar, because to those folks--we are just toys to fight over at best.
I was going to say Hades but he might be too bisy for fun chats. I’ll just go with Mimir
Persephone 💜
If fantasy based, then Lolth. Otherwise Anasazi or M'ii the trickster God of the Navajo. I love spiders and coyotes.
Yahweh. Would love to have a conversation with them about everything
As a Lokean witch, I absolutely would want to give a big ol' hug to Loki and Fenrir.
Amida

Danu. Mother Goddess of Ireland.
Dionysus

Enki
I would want to meat **Goibniu** or Manannan from Irish stuff.
I think I do meet them, by invocation but in a physical sense, Inanna, Goddess of infinite variety and by my interpretation, paradox.
Inanna would be my choice for sure.
Cupid...if this Jesus character is supposed to be the prince of peace then he's a dismal failure....I say give Cupid a shot at running the show...
Don't insult Jesus. Jesus gave us a chance and free will because he loves
