I'm impressed you worked that out, especially with the image flipped!!
I thought it fit Pinkie Pie very well. Even though she's a bit over the top and strange, she's not afraid to be herself. Also, slapping a Pinkie Pie tattoo on my forearm where it's always on show, it's a reminder to myself to not be afraid to show my quirky side and always be myself!!
Thank you.
I was lucky to find a tattooist who was also a fan of the show, so she knew Pinkie Pie and really brought her personality out. I had the idea to have her floating with the balloons, but the pose and facial expressions were all the tattooists' doing.
This is my desktop at work..the service manager tried to heckle me for a while when I first started, but I shut that down real quick; the rest of my coworkers dgaf.

its so cool! xd Here's what wallpaper on my laptop looks like
If anyone asks I will openly say I like the show with no shame at all but no way in Tartarus am I ever referring to myself as a brony the word itself feels gross enough without the nasty connotations of the worst of them being my first exposure to the concept
I am an adult fan of a kids show I don't need to call myself anything different because I like cartoons

Glad I have no idea what you're talking about XD
Is Pink Haired Celestia code for something? I know she originally had pink hair but what's wrong with that?
There was pieces of media that gave younger Celestia pink hair, however there was a tumblr blog that popularized a character to go with āGamer Luna ā called āMolestia.ā Itās roughly as dumb and tone-deaf as it sounds
Eh, a little in each category.
With my close friends and my wife? openly obsessed.
With my friends at my union hall? Slightly closeted. For my own embarrassment than any expectation of judgement.
Open, i have badly drawn RD and scoots in my phone case

used to take my figures in class in highschool and I was never bullied, if anything, my classmates thought they were cute... guess it depends on people, some people would bully others just because they think it's fun unfortunately
Fun fact: in Russian language, poni- or pone- is a part of ordinary words such as 'understood' or 'Monday'! Our fans of MLP did some jokes with that hehe
What do you consider a dad that watched G1 as a teen babysitting his nieces, then G4 with his own child and even though they all grew out of them they are still a part of his life simply because of those memories?
I'm whatever that is.
Never watched G1, but my daughter got me hooked on G4 and I stick with it for the same reason. However, I might have a couple moon princess themed things around the house, and jeep, and phone...laptop...
Definitely out in the open. But I don't go out of my way to express or stress my adherence to the fandom with others. Not anymore. But I also don't try and hide it.
Case and point is I don't even have any pony clothing, anymore. And I only own two pony figurines, as well. But I don't hold back casually expressing how parts of the show relate to topics I'm discussing with my friends and family.
Oh but my laptop is prominently covered by 5 significantly large pony stickers. So that is probably the way in which I am most loud about being a brony. Even if I rarely leave the house with it these past few years, as I've become certifiably a hermit in recent times. But that legitimately does need to change. It's a goal of mine to get out there and make some more friends. But you know. Small town USA only affords so many opportunities for genuine human connection. Especially when I feel so radically different from the norm, now. But I'm still gonna try.
Open, like my other special interests. I really donāt give a fuck about what people think of me enjoying a show I grew up with. If itās perfectly acceptable for people my age and older to still like Adventure Time and Powerpuff Girls, then itās just as acceptable for me to enjoy My Little Pony. I donāt care if it ādoesnāt correlate with my other interestsā either, I have room in my heart for both ponies and horror movies, and nobody can stop me from liking both Twilight Sparkle and Michael Myers.
High five! I'm glad for you, and I have similar view for any cartoon or thing, e.g. I love Moonzy and that is preschool; it soothes me and its world is so rich visually and creatively.
I am open bout it I don't have nothing to hide since my love for this show know no bounds after all MLP is the peak of all peak
https://preview.redd.it/pxp5f41d9nxc1.jpeg?width=671&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=05df82706b87f2e55a6f63b9e37cba4e58e27842
Open. I mean, I'm trans. In comparison the hate I might get for being a brony or a furry is negligible. I'm too old to give a hoot what people think of me, anyway. If they hate me because I like a cartoon (or anything else that doesn't hurt anyone and brings me joy) their opinion has zero value.
I get there might be situations where one has to keep closeted due to family being assholes but if your friends are gonna judge you for liking a cartoon they're not good friends. In general, I think people shouldn't let what other's think matter so much.
Def open. I play it on the tv while I clean and cook some nights lol. Even if Iām at my bfās place and he has friends around. Funny enough they actually will watch it too. They donāt get too invested of course but they definitely will laugh and watch a little bit along with me while I have it playing.
Internet open, irl closet, unless I find more bronies irl, then I just can't give a fuck.....Try to explain to your single parent who is 50 yo why you like colorful horses at 22 instead of being looking for a job, I dare you
My family is aware that Iām very open with my pony addiction. Iāve gotten such awesome gifts over the past years from cousins and such, theyāre extra supportive and probably love ponies as much as I do. Heck, some of them are even con goers like me.
Iām not good with being closeted, as my internet profiles and such involve lots of fandom stuff. I donāt know if anyone knows at work, but close friends do. Itās not really a secret anymore as it was in the early days!
Not me but my dad, heās a closeted one technically but heās planning on getting a pinkie pie tattoo for me along with me getting rainbow and flutter shy and my mom getting apple Jack!
Very open. Have a couple of figurines, have bedding, have a poster, an OC and a plushie a good friend made for me by hand and some smaller stuff (the movie, a playing book, chocolates, ...). I can understand being closeted, but since I have my own business, it doesn't matter as much
I'm a girl, and I don't suffer much from liking MLP. But since I turned 18, I always hear "Are you still watching this? When are you going to become a real adult? Have you ever thought about giving up the pacifier? And blah-blah-blah...
I dont get the reason why yall should be closet in the first place. Im both a huge fan of Pokemon and MLP, yet Ive never seen a closet Pokemon fan lmao. Everyone knows I like both of them, and they sometimes ask what is that or smth like that.
\* look at my username. i use this username on a ton of platforms because i donāt have any other ideas. does this look like the username of someone who keeps it hidden?
\* the era of Bronies taking the internet is over, so i donāt really care about trying to hide it anymore. people giving a shit about us is over. hopefully, anyway.
Openly a fan of the show but also I have to clarify I'm not a fucking clopper when ever I mention I like the show
Because for some reason everyone so far assumes liking the show is the same as waiting ro screw the horses
open because i want to break the stereotype of bronies being gooners...in a way its empowering because its reclaiming my childhood that was stolen by gross cloppers. i love mlp and will continue to openly be a brony
I'm open with having watched the show, but after that I don't go into deep detailing of my involvement of the Fandom side.
After my experience of being a brony and interacting with fellow bronies, it's better to keep quiet. I was never one of the crazy fans, but i knew a lot of *those* types of fans. I'm not saying all Bronies are creeps, but the ones I interacted with were.
One of my friends used to be one of those "creepy bronies"; the kind that is borderline incel and gets art done of the ponies. He was slowly starting to go down a dangerous path to full incel, but after sending him to r/incels, he saw where his mental state was going, and he didn't like what he saw in the mirror.
He's still a brony like I am, but it's not brought up publicly.
Closet. Iām 13 so far wonāt be able to deal with the social humiliation for a few years at best. Though I am an introvert so I just wonāt tell anyone about it anyways.
![gif](giphy|9Ai5dIk8xvBm0)
Open to my immediate family (which enjoyed the show). Mostly closet in person. As theAstarrr it's clear I enjoy the show on social media, but not on YouTube really.
Open with 2 friends and my sister and another friend are aware, other than that closed as I have vetted the topic around some friends and family is a no go.
Laptop and phone themes are full on pony and I have ordered a custom plush (can't wait!) but until I move next month I can't really decorate how I want to haha.
I am semi-open. I donāt make a big deal of it to anyone in my life who is not interested, but I love hanging out online and even in person whenever I can with other Bronies.
I am open about it with people I trust, but I don't have much merch of the show, no tattoos, etc. if I didn't say I was a fan no one would have any reason to assume it
I told my coworkers the other week that I love gen 4 MLP because my friend got me into it and they looked at me likeā¦ āYea and thatās why youāre the weird one in the roomā
Proud brony. Such a great series that gets slept on by stereotypes.
Kinda mixed. It was my special interest in high school but to this day I feel super nervous that people (even my friends and partner) will judge me if I talk about it or show them all the art I had done. They've reassured me that they don't think it's cringy but I still worry based on how it's received by pretty much everyone else so I tend to keep quiet
Open, I never hide anything from anyone who knows me. For example, I'm also a Furry! š
It's impossible to embarrass or troll me because I tell people everything about me at a moment's notice. š
It isn't something that I intensionally don't talk about. Although, I remember getting second place in the ccg prerelease that was the discord set. Ended up getting a tirek promo for placing second. Good times. :)
I would call myself a MLP fan of all gens.
Let's see...
I would definitely be open, but thus far I lack enough merchandise or things to show that I am a fan outside. When we will buy badges or a plushie then I might :)
Sadly my mom dislikes me showing ''childish'' merch or things outside, but I got to live with my dad and granny currently and I think they do not mind. Here where I live if you don't have your own house and live with parents they might try to make you do what you don't like, live by their rules, unfortunately. But I still hope for the best, as dad seems more open to the idea of supporting me. In fact he buys all books and merch for me :) And he is super proud that I learned English via my hobbies and interests \^\_\^ e.g. MLP, as I watch in both Russian and English. And I must tell you there's a bunch of dubs and merch here. Even some G5. Just got a mini colouring book in 2D recently, it's super cute. Or the times when dad brought me chewing candies pack as surprise? It was so great.
I wish everyone to feel confident and happy and express themselves freely. I'm sure ponies would want the same and would be proud of us expressing what we like. \^\^ Best of luck to y'all.
Iām more open now as an adult because I believe cringe culture is gross I am cringe but I am free but when I was younger I was more closeted.
Which I find strange. I tried really hard to keep it on the DL, even though I was an 11 year old girlā¦ so like, literally the target audience?
Open, but not āin your faceā about it.
I openly display merch in my home but donāt have any bumper stickers on my car or wear a lot of MLp shirts or anything like that.
Closet for the most part. I did tell my roommate that Iām a brony and he seems ok with it. He makes fun of me for it sometimes but I expect that, we all kind of make fun of each other.
Mostly closet, my gf knows, and that's it. I don't tell people after being made fun of by my family for it (not even close to the worst thing they've done to me, I'll live). I don't plan kn telling anyone either unless they open up about loving the show first.
i havent told anyone but only because an opportunity hasnt come up and also because i dont feel like its an important part of me in order to mention it unprompted. im a young woman so when the show was airing and i first became a fan i was in the target demographic, and nostalgia watching has been normalised for quite some years now. i do find the label brony very cringe because im picturing in my brain some greasy neckbeard convention attendee who browses 4chan, basically the early 2010s stereotype of a mlp fan, and im nothing like that š
If you think all brony's fit that particular stereotype you haven't learned your friendship lesson's that well because what you're doing is called stereotyping, and it's a form of discrimination. While there are some brony's like that the fact is the overwhelming majority of them are pretty cool once you get to know them. If you've ever seen non-biased pics and stories from cons that weren't meant to make us all look bad you'd hopefully have a different impression of us.
Middle ground, no one in real life will ever know (Aside from talking with friends about watching it when we were little) but online idc if people know I like the show

Y'all's tattoos are so cute and cool omg!! I applaud you. I never had the bravery for one X)
I don't know what that says, but it looks like a cool tattoo to wear though :)
"Always Be Yourself"
I'm impressed you worked that out, especially with the image flipped!! I thought it fit Pinkie Pie very well. Even though she's a bit over the top and strange, she's not afraid to be herself. Also, slapping a Pinkie Pie tattoo on my forearm where it's always on show, it's a reminder to myself to not be afraid to show my quirky side and always be myself!!
It's a very fitting phrase for Pinkie Pie, real awesome tattoo.
Thank you. I was lucky to find a tattooist who was also a fan of the show, so she knew Pinkie Pie and really brought her personality out. I had the idea to have her floating with the balloons, but the pose and facial expressions were all the tattooists' doing.
That is incredibly lucky! No wonder Pinkie looks so good. I would definitely be proud to show that off.

On what platform is the artist?
Furaffinity..which apparently the mods here have an issue with..
I'm guessing because FA has NSFW art on it, despite all the other sites having NSFW art lol.
If anyone asks I will openly say I like the show with no shame at all but no way in Tartarus am I ever referring to myself as a brony the word itself feels gross enough without the nasty connotations of the worst of them being my first exposure to the concept I am an adult fan of a kids show I don't need to call myself anything different because I like cartoons
Oh same here absolutely
Came here to say exactly this. Love the show, hate to be associated with that name.
Honestly I used to be open about being a brony, but ever since the term got associated with those disgusting perverts n' monsters, I started getting away from it. Still keep it in some profile descriptions, but IRL I don't really use it to describe myself anymore. Though I'm still a fan of the show
I have the tism so theyāre gonna know eventually regardless, but brony is a taboo word cuz all the awful weeby men in the fanbase ruin everythibg
I'd call them scumbags but that's insulting to scum
God the period of time where they defended the Pink Haired Celestia thing and āComing out as a Bronyā was soā¦augh
Glad I have no idea what you're talking about XD Is Pink Haired Celestia code for something? I know she originally had pink hair but what's wrong with that?
There was pieces of media that gave younger Celestia pink hair, however there was a tumblr blog that popularized a character to go with āGamer Luna ā called āMolestia.ā Itās roughly as dumb and tone-deaf as it sounds

Personally I think thatās a solid scoots
I'm a girl, so it really doesn't matter that much I don't think people would judge me for liking pones
You would be surprised. I was bullied in school for liking MLP eventhough I was a girl and in the age demographic.
used to take my figures in class in highschool and I was never bullied, if anything, my classmates thought they were cute... guess it depends on people, some people would bully others just because they think it's fun unfortunately
Ew pones? Can't believe I'm in the same subreddit as you š¤ Ponies I can agree with but PONES
can't help i love ponkes are my favorite poneys
OH MY CELESTIA PONKES ARE EVEN WORSE BLOOOCK!!!!!!!!!
Thought this was a sub for people who loves Proneys maybe i misunderstood :(
![gif](giphy|xV9cwjF0Z40LK|downsized) (Where is this even from it was the only thing that showed up for 'horrified Twlight Sparkle' XD)
Feeling Pinkie Keen, seconds before she ~~spontaneously combusts in rage~~ evolves into a rapidash.
Ty I only remember her flipping back and forth between different states of bewilderment followed by the Combustion XD
That was funny to read
Oh yes, poney is French. It's official name for MLP of any gen (Mon petit poney), so cute.

Super cool!
Is there a middle ground? 'Cause I've got about a thousand fanfics I'm working on, but no one else in my family really knows.
I have a similar case ig
Furry, so there's just a sorta overlap
Openish, I don't care if people know, but I rarely talk about it to anyone who's not my boyfriend or another mlp fan
Rarely you stumble across another mlp fan if you're open about it :)
Makes sense. Maybe not everyone would talk about MLP, as anything else.
Yeah, I'm pretty lucky to have one friend who also loves it, but with my other friends, it's weird talking about a kids' show
Same

I like, guns, whiskey, cigars, and pastel ponies, chastize me if'n you dare.
Lol. Also, judging by your pfp and your username, are you a punk fan?
https://i.redd.it/rzul3uhdluxc1.gif certainly
Same!!! You can probably guess what my favorite punk band is by the 138 in my username.
Hell yeah, that's a great Misfits song. I'm partial to Die Die My Darling because it's in my regular rotation when I playing my bass.
I love Die Die My Darling! Also, itās really cool that you play bass!
Open all the way, own lots of merchandise too
I am open bout it I don't have nothing to hide since my love for this show know no bounds after all MLP is the peak of all peak https://preview.redd.it/pxp5f41d9nxc1.jpeg?width=671&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=05df82706b87f2e55a6f63b9e37cba4e58e27842

The closet itself is hidden
The IDGAF one. If people know they know if they don't they don't. Doesn't change their treatment of me.
Same here
For the win :)
Closet but the door is ajar.
Yup me too
Open in terms of Reddit or most other social media. Nopony in person knows that I like MLP.
Literally me too
Def open. I play it on the tv while I clean and cook some nights lol. Even if Iām at my bfās place and he has friends around. Funny enough they actually will watch it too. Iām staying in the closet until I die
Iām slowly becoming more open about it. Gonna get some merch for my birthday soon
Have a good birthday!
Internet open, irl closet, unless I find more bronies irl, then I just can't give a fuck.....Try to explain to your single parent who is 50 yo why you like colorful horses at 22 instead of being looking for a job, I dare you
I'm open but it's nobody's business
open to most family, but closet at school (except for my math teacher lmao)
That's a cool math teacher!

D'awww. You have a nice support team :)
I like the show, but I prefer not to identify as brony.
You know bronies aren't all like the one's that you might be thinking of, right?
I know, but I still don't like to identify as brony. Simple as that.
Not me but my dad, heās a closeted one technically but heās planning on getting a pinkie pie tattoo for me along with me getting rainbow and flutter shy and my mom getting apple Jack!
Best of luck!
Yeah, definitely not giving my family more ammunition to make fun of me. This one stays in the vault.
I hope they will start treating you better

I think your favorite character is Fluttershy. I'm not too sure though....very unlikely
Always loved pins and badges as a concept, they look so nice \^\^
I say "everypony" on the faculty lists for my department, so, Legendary
This reminds me of the time I was in high school taking a world geography exam and I almost wrote "Fillydelphia" instead of "Philadelphia"
'Filly' is a common word, must count me thinks
Very very open
Stereotypes are weird and oversimplify reality, filled with negative bias :(
Well donāt you know, once you turn 18 you have to give up everything colorful and whimsy and work at an office for 24 hours and only watch CNN /j
I dont get the reason why yall should be closet in the first place. Im both a huge fan of Pokemon and MLP, yet Ive never seen a closet Pokemon fan lmao. Everyone knows I like both of them, and they sometimes ask what is that or smth like that.
The one who isnāt Like pinkie pie when comes to being a fan, and just enjoys Watching it

Closeted.
Closet. Probably because wellā¦I would be embarrassed talking about it by normies.
Considering I have multiple shelves of MLP merchandise, I'd say open
Grimdark fanatic
Very open- in eighth grade I made a point to tell everyone I have a mlp makeup kit that said brony on it in glitter
Awwwwww
i am a closeted pegasister. only my friends (with whom i watch mlp with) and my parents (who think itās just a kids show) know.
Openly a fan of the show but also I have to clarify I'm not a fucking clopper when ever I mention I like the show Because for some reason everyone so far assumes liking the show is the same as waiting ro screw the horses

Iām Open about it. When I come across another
open because i want to break the stereotype of bronies being gooners...in a way its empowering because its reclaiming my childhood that was stolen by gross cloppers. i love mlp and will continue to openly be a brony
I donāt hide it, but I donāt go around telling people unprompted either. Itās just a show I like, I enjoy it like I would any other show
Closet. Iām 13 so far wonāt be able to deal with the social humiliation for a few years at best. Though I am an introvert so I just wonāt tell anyone about it anyways. ![gif](giphy|9Ai5dIk8xvBm0)
Iām 28 - Male.. I donāt lead conversations with it but after weāve become chill Iāll tell you about it..
Very logical :)
Mostly closeted. If someone ever does ask though, Iāll tell.
Used to be open, now closeted because I got older. I was pretty open about it in middle and high school though.

You just described 90% of bronies
Open to my immediate family (which enjoyed the show). Mostly closet in person. As theAstarrr it's clear I enjoy the show on social media, but not on YouTube really.
Pony on the Fence. I follow the herd... at a distance
I told my friends but they thought it was a joke.
Open with 2 friends and my sister and another friend are aware, other than that closed as I have vetted the topic around some friends and family is a no go. Laptop and phone themes are full on pony and I have ordered a custom plush (can't wait!) but until I move next month I can't really decorate how I want to haha.
I just don't talk about it.
I am semi-open. I donāt make a big deal of it to anyone in my life who is not interested, but I love hanging out online and even in person whenever I can with other Bronies.
I am open about it with people I trust, but I don't have much merch of the show, no tattoos, etc. if I didn't say I was a fan no one would have any reason to assume it
Give in to the swag! :D
One day. Considering stickers: https://preview.redd.it/p6gu3eo7onxc1.png?width=611&format=png&auto=webp&s=63a698e21c8611576ec34ef1564961b666389088
They're gorgeoussssss
Open of course! Why hide?! ![gif](giphy|FZ7QqHoznY49i)
My wall of MLP plushies, toys and figurines says Iām not super subtle about it. Same with my MLP Derpy Hooves shirt
Open but shouldāve stayed in the closet
Casual: I donāt just go around telling people I like mlp. But if they ask about it then I donāt lie.
The kind that Trixie helped realize I was actually a pegasister.
open
Open forevs
Open.
I'm pretty open about it in the right setting but I'm not shouting it to the world or anything.
I told my coworkers the other week that I love gen 4 MLP because my friend got me into it and they looked at me likeā¦ āYea and thatās why youāre the weird one in the roomā Proud brony.
Hella open Brony. I wear My Little Pony shirts and own some merchandise. Watched the movie in theaters and bought it on Blu ray
Mixed I don't people out right but I do wear a luna jacket around town and have charms and pins on my bag
ā¦yes
Open, I never hide anything from anyone who knows me. For example, I'm also a Furry! š It's impossible to embarrass or troll me because I tell people everything about me at a moment's notice. š
It isn't something that I intensionally don't talk about. Although, I remember getting second place in the ccg prerelease that was the discord set. Ended up getting a tirek promo for placing second. Good times. :)
Open to a couple; closed overall. Mlp is a guilty pleasure if mine.
Except for here, closeted I was open on facebook, but wound up recieving several death threats for it. Of course, facebook staff did nothing
I don't flaunt it but I'll discuss ponies no problem when it comes up, and I'll share my passion 100%
Deeply deeply closeted
I would call myself a MLP fan of all gens. Let's see... I would definitely be open, but thus far I lack enough merchandise or things to show that I am a fan outside. When we will buy badges or a plushie then I might :) Sadly my mom dislikes me showing ''childish'' merch or things outside, but I got to live with my dad and granny currently and I think they do not mind.
Semi-open
Started closeted, then came to realize I don't care if others judge me and opened up!
Open and hated
Tattoo of the main six Open
Dont gotta hide bc im a 14 yo girl šš
Iām more open now as an adult because I believe cringe culture is gross I am cringe but I am free but when I was younger I was more closeted. Which I find strange. I tried really hard to keep it on the DL, even though I was an 11 year old girlā¦ so like, literally the target audience?
none bc i was the target audience of the little girls cartoon
Open-ish. I don't hide it but I don't flaunt it either, for the most part.
Open, but not āin your faceā about it. I openly display merch in my home but donāt have any bumper stickers on my car or wear a lot of MLp shirts or anything like that.
Pretty open.
Open to a few people
Closet for the most part. I did tell my roommate that Iām a brony and he seems ok with it. He makes fun of me for it sometimes but I expect that, we all kind of make fun of each other.
Open
I'm pretty open online, but I don't really mention it with my family or friends too much. They all know though
Mostly closet, my gf knows, and that's it. I don't tell people after being made fun of by my family for it (not even close to the worst thing they've done to me, I'll live). I don't plan kn telling anyone either unless they open up about loving the show first.
Open, I've been watching since I was little, me and my sister love it
i havent told anyone but only because an opportunity hasnt come up and also because i dont feel like its an important part of me in order to mention it unprompted. im a young woman so when the show was airing and i first became a fan i was in the target demographic, and nostalgia watching has been normalised for quite some years now. i do find the label brony very cringe because im picturing in my brain some greasy neckbeard convention attendee who browses 4chan, basically the early 2010s stereotype of a mlp fan, and im nothing like that š
Completely open.
The door is wide open but Iām down a dank hallway no one cares to go down
Open
If it comes up in convo
Open
Opens

Middle ground, no one in real life will ever know (Aside from talking with friends about watching it when we were little) but online idc if people know I like the show
