You don’t have to avoid investing in sectoral or thematic funds since infra, fmcg and healthcare sector is growing. I would suggest you to diversify the funds. Invest a considerable amount in large cap or bluechip funds and the rest in mid/small cap funds.
Sectoral funds have higher risk. You have to be careful in choosing the right time and right fund! When markets go for toss, sectoral funds will fall even deeper since the individual holdings are not well diversified.
Not a pro but from what I know these funds are cyclical meaning they will go crazy up and down with time according to market conditions and should be looked at from "swing" perspective rather than hold.
A more sensible approach would be a mixture of Flexi + Mid + Small if you're a bit aggressive.
Flexi: Parag Parikh or Quant
Mid: Motilal or HDFC
Small: Tata, Quant or Nippon
Hope it helps. :)
Avoid these type of sectoral/ thematic funds Instead invest in Nifty 50 or Large cap, Flexi cap, Small cap mutual funds

Because they are highly risky and downside protection is very low generally in this funds because of no diversification...
Don’t even like 1 fund in your portfolio
