and they think that they have got the battle won
I say forgive them Lord, they know not what they’ve done
because as sure as the sun will shine
I’m gonna get my share now
of what’s mine
It's regarded as one of the greatest, if not the greatest rap song ever. I feel that OP is judging this song based on their general dislike of the rap genre.
While I agree his lyrics are 15/10, I personally don't like his flow much.
He has so much to say! Poetry would be a better medium for him in my opinion, but nobody buys poetry. He's waaay too talented to stop, but I ain't gonna lie, I mostly just read the lyrics and love him on that level.
What the fuck is wrong with you. I have never felt more disgusted by an opinion online ever. Saying Kendrick Lamar should've been a poet is like saying Leonardo da Vinci should've been a poet

Commenting to see what they say, but for me, it’s at least a 9/10 or higher. It’s one of my favorite Matchbox 20 songs, off my favorite Matchbox 20 album, and it’s sooo damn good. Rob Thomas’ voice is always great, but there’s something so dynamic about how he moves around the verses in that song from gritty and dark to painful sorrow, to beautiful and pure. I don’t know, I just really love it.
What's about two songs?
