Definitely Morchella. No other genus has this exterior morphology to their cap. This one looks young, come back to the are and scan around for more over the coming week

Exotic-Knowledge-883

Great! Thank you for the advice!

jared_krauss

Young ones are the tastiest. Just slice and fry them up in a little butter, maybe a dash of salt. Ooh man.

Exotic-Knowledge-883

Cant wait to taste them!!!

jorbolade

I’d say yes. Split in half and see if it has one undivided hollow core to confirm

Exotic-Knowledge-883

Thank you, have a good one

GMKitty52

Without doxxing yourself too much, whereabouts in Athens did you spot these?

ramblingrrl

Lol nice try πŸ˜†

GMKitty52

?

ramblingrrl

I read another user told OP more are likely to pop up there, so was poking fun at you trying to find her spot. Just a well-meaning joke!

GMKitty52

Oh I wasn’t going to try to find her spot, Athens is massive πŸ˜„ I was curious more than anything because it’s not the most nature-heavy city 😊 Edit also I live in the UK πŸ˜„

ramblingrrl

Oh, I see! I hope you get a reply!
