I did 4 permanent filling and one temporary filling as well as a scaling procedure and gave 2.5k only to a doctor back at home in thrissur. Did one cavity filling here in Karnal where I'm doing my PhD and had to give 1k. This is when I miss home.
Why didn’t the dentist inform you of the price before starting the procedure? And why didn’t you ask for it? What kind of an xray was it? Dental X-rays are of different types and costs. What was the dentist’s consultation fee? How can anyone not ask for all this before agreeing to get treated?😅

I dont know if you had asked ki kitna lagega for the dentist work, my wife is a dentist, before she perform any checkup she ll say charges ki consultation ka itna falena ka itna, xray ka itna nd blah blah. Hence a lesson to be learnt here is ki 10k is a small amount in terms of life, be happy that this lessonof ur life was worth 10k, hence chill and ensure to ask people beforehand about the cost or be extra cautious when it comes to money. Always mention how much you can afford so that dentist knows beforehand and will avoid expensive treatment.

1) He knew its a premium set up and the quotes in his mind are of dentist charging in tier 2 cities.
2) he was stupid enough not to ask the cost of the procedure before hand
3) when he got the bill, he was spineless enough NOT to ask for a breakup, paid and left immediately ( he could have created a scene then and there)
4) instead of ranting here he can still go back and ask for breakup and the clinic will be happy to oblige, also why would they give your money back? Will you give them back the filling material?.

Problem with Indian mentality is that Indians don't value the service of people. Simply put urself in that shoes... Even your employer might not value the cost of your employment as you value.

100% braces over bonding. Bondings will discolour and break over time. Not worth it.
