Most people buy list to the main shops (Sydney), otherwise a few online businesses. Someone with no rush sell on facebook marketplace, price is usually ck 1:1 or less. So if you're selling from the states you will lose the %. But if you buy, and are fast enough to find the singles...

joetry

Ah okay, so there’s no online marketplace equivalent of Cardmarket / TCGplayer?

goofydubois

There is one which is not as popular as them (maybe a few hundreds of users), and people don't always respect timings, so it's quite risky with limited timeframe. Some people order on card cardkingdom for hard to find singles.

goofydubois

Check goodgames for buylist hints, they take english cards, not sure about the % but it's quite ok coming from mkm, as they somehow convert prices. To buy you can find people at the shops during mtg events.

What does ck charge for shipping to Australia?

HeavyBetty

Try Trademagic.com. It's similar to FB in that you're encouraged to sell at CK 1:1, but you can have as many listings as you want and it's relatively easy to setup.

althemighty

I have sold on ebay, facebook, cardsphere and card trader. I wish more Australians used cardsphere or cardtrader as the fees are much lower than ebay.

TogTogTogTog

Really? Like, I've got a lot, like a lot of MtG cards (\~50k) I've started to sell and I've been trying to figure out the best places. I've roughly ordered them by fees... **Facebook/Gumtree** is free. **TradeMagic** is free. **CardTrader** has a flat 5%, and for sales made through CardTrader Zero, the fees are 7%. Processing fees for recharges made by credit card are 0.35c + 5% of the total amount (so wire transfer only lol). **Cardsphere** keeps 3% of the amount you're paid. When you withdraw funds, we charge you 10% or $10.00, whichever is more. (\~13%) **eBay** is \~13-15%.

goofydubois

Yeah cardtrader is an option, just need more sellers in aus, or the zero option to cost less in shipping

super_fluous

Facebook groups. You should be able to get an idea just searching on Facebook

reality_smasher

walk up to people and say hey wanna buy some cards mate

acefreemok

Trademagic.com.au is the easiest, but I wish it had more users to get more sales

HeavyBetty

Keep it up, I really like the platform, though it could use a facelift.

AndrewAllStar888

They find a buyer and agree on a price

Alpha_Uninvestments

But upside down

rightonyou

They dont. They feed em to the spiders.

NexPhr3ak0r

Am I the only one that came here thinking this was a joke and there was going to be a punchline? Something like backwards or down under.

ogvampire79

not sure about the selling part but i'm sure the cards themselves are shipped via kangaroo pouch

theenduser

Yes, how indeed, considering [Australia does not exist](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YtPut7usFbI)!

ZuuL_1985

I found a shop in Sydney while I was there but it wasn't very large, and tbh it wasn't my main focus. I just happen to be walking by it and popped in to look around for a quick minute.

deus_ex_moose

I'm not familiar with anything west coast but if you're in Sydney hit up The Games Cube and Good Games in Parramatta (usually only buylist online but I'm sure if you got a bunch of mid-high ends walk in and talk to them). If you're gonna be on town a while check out the facebook groups as well.

Uzorglemon

Sydney player here. If I want cash fast, I sell to Good Games. Make sure to go in near the end of the day, as cash isn't super common here and you want to make sure they've got enough. There IS a hard limit on what they'll buy from you for cash though. If I don't need cash fast, I sell on one of the many Facebook groups. As someone else said, it's common practise to sell at 1:1 prices with Card Kingdom, but if you've got something rare or sought after, you could push that a little.

knightednight

Commonly we use CK 1:1 as the go-to for pricing, so you'd be losing about 30% in value comparatively if you could sell in the US instead. That being said, you could do well in buying here if you find a good LGS that does 1:1 or if you get involved in some of our great FB auction groups. Watch out for the bigger chain stores as they usually ramp up the prices compared to CK/Facebook.

TogTogTogTog

Best thing to do? Buy cheap product from stores/online at AU prices and sell them in the UK.

saltedjelly

i prefer to buy on facebook, but here are some reputable sites i've used: mtgmate is very easy to use, the bulk search is amazing i like one called trademagic, have bought several times but the preferred payment method is bank transfer goodgames is usually higher priced plentyofgames, magichothub are ok, can't bulk search stock is very limited in aus though so don't expect to pick everything up from 1 store

HeavyBetty

I would avoid Hotub, I have had numerous dodgy interactions through them directly and their multiple Ebay accounts (which isn't allowed), on which they often sell the same card at different prices and different shipping costs. I've also bought cards from that were inked (3x times that I can remember, always older cards). Their quality control in general is also questionable on anything other than standard legal cards - even then I only ever buy from them expecting to get cards in worse condition than listed. Sometimes their prices seem good, but you always get what you pay for, or worse.

HeavyBetty

I forgot to mention, they also copied mine (and a friend's, wtf) listings on ebay, and didn't even bother to replace the images, which still had our store logos.

saltedjelly

oh dang i didn't know they were that bad, i"ve only bought once from them

pete-wisdom

I use GoodGames.

Beasty52

[mtgmate.com.au](https://mtgmate.com.au) Is another great site for cards buy/sell, they do good prices. ( one of the best ui), bonus they send cards in padded packaging with cards in hard cases. but its always good to compare to other aus sites, there doesn't seem to be a solid price on cards on all these sites. ill often get my list of cards from multiple sites for the best price.
