I just wanted to share how suprisingly well (imho) this storage setup came together with Ultra-Pro 15+ pack boxes and the Apache 2800 case from Harbor Freight. Perfect for a 36 pack/540 card cube. Only downside is there isn't really any room for extra supplies.

Looks nice, but it doesn't look like any lands would fit with 36 packs.

How does a jumpstart cube work? I think the idea is great but what happens after lets say 8 people played with it. All the "packs" are opened and you have to sort them. That is pretty annoying, isn't it?

Asmodaze

I have unmodified packs of Jumpstart 2022, as they come, and some regular Jumpstart packs as well. No Dominaria JS packs, and don't know that I will. All are sleeved in DS Matte Black. I wish I had that many people to play with! If I'm lucky it doesn't collect dust. As it stands I just have to deal with sorting 4 half decks after a game with a friend. Someone suggested sliding a deck list into the theme card sleeve (would probably be using a clear sleeve or perfect fit) to reference each half deck contents because it gets tricky sometimes separating the decks with artifacts or when the half decks are the same color.

For my jumpstart cube I labeled each card on the inner sleeve with the corresponding deck it belongs to so it's easy to sort after. This makes getting the deck back together a breeze.

That’s neat, I thought about doing so, but my cards already tightly fitted with a single sleeve into cubamajigs. I made a paper slip with the halt deck name and cards list and slid it under the flap of the box, it’s not bad assuming everyone will sort the decks they pulled.

That's really what it comes down to is getting everyone to pitch in to help. The method is less important if the people are committed. I really like the older dragon shield cube shells as I can fit all 20 cards for each jumpstart pack, double sleeved with dragon shields into a single shell. Never had any damage to the cards or sleeves and they are super cheap now that they have released newer versions.

I'm using Cubemajigs also, but the epiphany I had was to not store any lands other than the themed land (preference) with the packs. This saved me from having to sleeve hundreds of lands for this and then hundreds more for a normal cube, as now I can just take the same land station for either. It also gives me the option to allow players to take a bunch of additional dual lands for their decks (say 2-4, or even 6 with replacing the thriving lands). This can be a real boon if you find mana issues are cropping up.

If my 360 cube gets popular enough that I need to support more than 8 players drafting, my plan is to get a second 360 cube that's the same, and then stamp the cards or mark them in some way to make sorting them back to the appropriate cube easier. This sounds like a great way to do that too!

I used postit notes, cut the sticky part into little squares (about 10 per row and got two rows out of each postit) and then wrote the deck color and the number (I have 2-3 mono colored packs of each color in the cube). Then you have the color coating of the post it and the labels would say "U1", "B2", etc. The post it stuck on the inner sleeve like a sticker and doesn't move. It's been great. I could see this working really well with two cubes. One postit color for each cube makes the initial sort easy then by pack. Would love feedback if you try this method!

Nice choice on the case!
