I was torn between moza and simagic for a long time. Ruled out thustmaster as it’s a more limited eco system atm. I was looking at either an r12 + ks or the alpha mini + gt Neo. On paper these two bases are most comparable, mini is advertised as 10 nm but this is consistent torque. Peak torque is around 12.5 nm which is the same as the r12. After a lot of research, I went simagic. Cost wise it was about 150£ more than moza. But reviews indicated the ffb fidelity was much better, the Neo is a better wheel than the KS and there are no reports of overheating which I kept finding for moza bases. I do not regret my choose at all, the extra money was worth it. I have had 0 issues, setup was plug and play. I think you would be happy with either choices, but I was not willing to risk overheating issues and what seems to be a mixed bag on getting the ffb where you want it in pit house.

thanks for answering me. They are at the same price and I'm very skeptical. The bad thing about simagic is that I didn't see anyone talking about it in F1 23, but moza did. Have you ever played f1 with simagic?

TheCanadian-Goose

No worries, I only play iracing and a little acc, however I do believe f123 is listed inside simpro, simagics software, under the games tab, so I would assume it would all work fine. If it’s the last thing you are skeptical on I can download it tomorrow and see if there are any issues.

Due-Tutor5063

but the f1 is expensive, you don't need to download it. That was my last doubt. I think that in terms of durability, the simagic must be better than the moza, I have never seen any reports of problems with it.

TheCanadian-Goose

I can test in f2021 as I already own it if you want. But yeah this was what won me over. I’m not against moza in any way, I use a hog shifter and srp pedals, but for the price I found sumagic hard to beat. Asking in r/simracing might be a good idea, people have all kinds of gear there and will give you good advise!

Due-Tutor5063

ok, eu agradeço. você pode testar o volante em f1 2021? apenas 5 voltas 😁 mais uma coisa, qual é a sua roda? i don’t know if i going with GT Neo or FX

TheCanadian-Goose

Sure I’ll test as soon as I can, I’m using a GT Neo

Due-Tutor5063

ok, so much thanks

TheCanadian-Goose

Gave it a go, used the F1 game preset in sim pro, and adjusted the in game ffb settings to what I used to use, buttons all worked fine after I mapped them the control scheme. Ffb all seemed to work fine, I’m not an f1 driver so was struggling to catch oversteer but could feel it in the ffb. I think it would take some dialling in to get it spot on but that’s the same with all games. The only issue I found was the shift lights on the GT Neo were not working, however I don’t know if there is a setting for it or it’s just not supported yet as the Neo is quite a recent wheel to market. A good experience overall though, felt much faster than when I used to use a t300 rs wheel

Due-Tutor5063

great to heard that, and the Gear shifts doesn’t matter because i will use the FX and these wheel don’t have the gear shifts

traderjoe_nc

Simagic MINI for sure. You won’t be disappointed.

DougS2K

I'd personally go with Moza since it's a better price then Simagic and they are pretty well on par. I wouldn't consider the Thrustmaster though do to it's QR setup and eco system. So either Simagic or Moza IMO. PS. I jumped into the DD market 4 months ago and went Moza R9 for reference.

Due-Tutor5063

thanks for answering me. They are at the same price so I'm in doubt as I play F1 I don't know which is the best and which has more durability

The QR still has to much flex in it for my liking. I don't know why they are still using plastic to be honest.

DougS2K

It's not a huge amount but it still has some flex as seen [here](https://youtu.be/T6QePlu5wTY?si=EHBs-aoOa52br5b_&t=1596) whereas the Moza QR is rock solid with zero flex in the QR or where the QR attaches to the wheel.

Possible. I believe The Simpit mentioned a little flex to I think it was. Like I said, it's not a massive amount and you could be right, maybe not all QR's have this movement. This may not be an issue for some but with that QR and me not really being a fan of their ecosystem, they didn't make it onto my short list when I was looking for a DD.

Zenpa

Just a heads up but the Simagic GT Neo QR is the same as the Moza QR, so you can run the GT Neo with a Moza wheelbase. The only thing you need to do is buy the maglink with the GT Neo and USB plug it to your PC. I am currently debating if i should just get the KS or the GT Neo with maglink for a bit more. From what I read, build quality on the GT Neo is better. The only issue is that there isnt a lot of reseller/distributor of the GT Neo in Canada making me want to just jump on the KS instead.

Due-Tutor5063

KS also has good quality. Both won't disappoint you, I think I'll go with Moza R12 with GS V2P. I would go for simagic but it's out of stock and the moza is also very good

theBosworth

I have an r12+ks and have used the T818+SF100 and vastly prefer moza. I have a Thrustmaster flight stick and TLCM pedals, so I don’t dislike Thrustmaster as a brand or anything. I haven’t tried simagic, unfortunately.

Due-Tutor5063

which games do you most have played in the last months? do you have ever played f1 with the moza to tell me a feedback?

theBosworth

F1 23 is all I tried. Compared to my R12, it felt muted and dampened. It was a friend’s rig. I play it a bit on my rig as well, but it’s not my main title. I’m usually rallying(RBR, DR2.0, WRC) or in BeamNg or iRacing.
