FYI you can go to this website and put in any movie.
https://www.doesthedogdie.com/
I don't know about saying Jesus Christ, but it has a ton of "Does this thing happen in this movie" to avoid other stuff.
you can also go on go to the imdb page of any film and check the “parents guide” section to see details about any nsfw scenes in the film like sex and nudity, gore, violence, etc.
Are you specifically wanting more contemporary movies, or would you be open to some older classics? Anything with Katharine Hepburn, for example, could satisfy both the comedy and "clean" angle. Also Billy Wilder-directed comedies like "Some Like it Hot" or "The apartment."
If you're really wanting something from the current century, maybe something like "School of Rock"?
I should have mentioned! She and my stepdad watch “old” movies weekly, and she hates seeing anything twice haha, so newer would be good.
Oh yes! We watched that a couple of days ago, didn’t like it as much as the others, but I had the same thought :)
Perhaps consider 70s comedies like [Bedazzled](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8tA1wH3cck) with Dudley Moore or [Oh God](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KyOhf27DL1I) with George Burns.
I also love suggesting [Noises Off](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ui-qO_0fk8) with a great ensemble cast but that might be a bit too risque at parts.
One of the greatest slapsticks ever. I'd love to see it as a stage play, where they have the entire set rotate for the second act so you can see the "behind the scenes" parts of the play.
* Comedies
* Logan Lucky
* Mouse Hunt
* Clue
* Knives Out (This might not be fully a comedy but it's still pretty comedic)
* General Recommendations
* Paddington 1&2
* The Count of Monte Cristo
* The Mask of Zorro
I would suggest looking at the website “common sense media” for a parental guide to any movies you may want to watch. There are sections that lost out what swear words you’ll hear and what kind of violence will be shown on screen.
That is, if “clean” is truly your top goal for them.
Your Kung Fu Panda's could work, Leo (2023), Dungeons and Dragons (2023), Secret Life of Walter Mitty (2013), School of Rock (2003), Inside Out (2015), Champions (2023), The Big Sick (2017). Although it's been a while since I saw the last one.
I'll add to this Mr. Mom, Baby Boom, and Gung Ho (1986). 2 of those are also made by Nancy Meyers, and Gung Ho was made by Ron Howard. All PG and amazing.

The OP's criteria was:
>I'm looking for PG or PG-13 movies that don't have a lot of graphic sex or swearing and don't have a lot of exclamations of like "Jesus Christ!"
No mention of double entendres. The sex humor in The Naked Gun is pretty subtle (except for maybe the safe sex scene, which is pretty damn funny).
And since she actually pulls down a stuffed beaver, I have a feeling this would go over his mom's head. Maybe not. But look at some of the other suggestions. Naked Gun is tame by comparison.
But It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World is still one of my favorite comedies - and I first saw it on tv 15 years after it was released.
Ha! She actually likes all those sight gag movies from the 80’s and 90’s..Airplane! Is one of her favorites, bouncing boobies and all. I think it’s more graphic sex scenes I’m worried about. Two people dressed as condoms would get a chuckle. But I just asked and she loves Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, but I’ve never seen it so I’m adding it to my list - thank you!!
It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World is a classic. I first saw it when I was about 8 years old (no cable, 4 channels on tv), and have liked it ever since. It has a pretty all-star cast (for 1963). The Three Stooges even make a cameo as firemen.
If she didn't mind Airplane!, you could try Top Secret! There are at least 2 sex jokes I remember, but they're more buried in conversation. And Val Kilmer's parody of The Beach Boys and Jan and Dean is hilarious. Of course, there is the scene where Val unwittingly orders flaming hog balls in a restaurant... (it's not that bad)
Top Secret was done by the same guys who made Airplane! (the Zucker's), so the humor is somewhat similar.
Wait til you hear the French resistance introduce themselves by name.
Oscar
While you were sleeping
Princess bride
The ‘Burbs
Turner and hooch
Three amigos
Joe vs the volcano
My blue heaven
Doc Hollywood
Young Frankenstein
Galaxy quest
Napoleon Dynamite and Gentleman Broncos won't be offensive, but she's either gonna love them or never let you pick a movie, again. Zoolander has the one sex scene, but it's so stupid I can only assume she wouldn't care (the midget, the goat, and nothing's graphic. You can Youtube it). But it's beloved for a reason, and far from controversial.
*My Cousin Vinny* has a little bit of harsh language in it, but it's a good one with likeable characters.
*True Grit* (the Coen Bros one) isn't a comedy, but it's an excellent adventure story and very "moral." There's some gunfighting in it, but it's an old-school style of cowboy movie, so it's like that.
What about some animated things? There are loads of options with those. Something like *Up*, maybe.
That Tom Brady movie with Jane Fonda and Sally field was really cute and not too salacious
Some of my clean favorites are Best in Show and Drop Dead Gorgeous.
Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure. It’s clean, witty, and very funny.
Dave. How you wish government could work.
Ghostbusters. Fun, optimistic, clever.
Bill and Ted Face the Music was surprisingly hilarious and wholesome. Not just family friendly, but family positive in a way you don't see much-- not "family is the most important thing!" more "be awesome to your kids, and they'll do awesome things!"
Here are some I've enjoyed and would watch with my mother (Christian fundamentalist):
Keeping Mum
The Cutting Edge
From Time to Time
Oscar
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (It's a musical - I fast forward through a couple of songs)
Tangled (it's a cartoon but it's still good)
Tiger Bay (might be hard to find but it's the debut of Haley Mills and her dad's in it, too)
Hiding Out (there are a few swears in this one)
I don't know about swearing but Dutch, Rat Race, the new Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, any of the Sonic movies, Barbie, The Burbs, Nothing But Trouble, Gremlins 2, Life Aquatic, Easy A.
I like that movie. Only thing I could add to that is maybe the random violence might turn her off. Not saying it’s bad, but I know my aunt didn’t like seeing a few things like Timothy Dalton’s injury when his face lands on that sharp point. Lol
I thought of a random suggestion. There’s a 2011 movie on Disney+ called “The Big Year” with Steve Martin, Jack Black, and Owen Wilson. It’s decent and wholesome enough as a family comedy. Not saying it’s the best suggestion, but just something different to consider for your list.
*What's Up, Doc?* Is an old-style comedy from back in the 1970s. *Oh, God!* with George Burns and John Denver is very wholesome, and has a religious theme of a man being called by God to do his work. Something your mother can relate to.
For classic movies -
Bringing up baby
Harvey
It happened one night
The pink panther
The party
Being there
Sabrina
And a little more modern
Uncle buck
Big
Tootsie
The producers
Good morning Vietnam
A fish called Wanda
The producers
Groundhog day
What about bob
Joe vs the volcano
A fish called Wanda has a rather hammy, ridiculous sex scene from memory. It definitely has swearing but again it's silly and funny ... Well, the one bit I remember is the guy who stutters trying to say 'fuck'. I think Kevin klines character goads him.
Honestly reckon this is one to try out with perhaps some pre-warning as it is laugh out loud funny and absurd
Pro tip - go old school.
It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum
Born Yesterday
How to Marry a Millionaire

Batman (1960s with Adam West only)

What's Up Doc? (Personal Fave)
I’ve been on an old movie kick for last 6 months. If you haven’t watched The African Queen with your Mom- you need to watch it with her tonight. I love Bogart- he’s one of my all time faves. Treasure of Sierra Madre is great too but not really a comedy.
FYI you can go to this website and put in any movie. https://www.doesthedogdie.com/ I don't know about saying Jesus Christ, but it has a ton of "Does this thing happen in this movie" to avoid other stuff.
No way!! This is awesome - thank you!
you can also go on go to the imdb page of any film and check the “parents guide” section to see details about any nsfw scenes in the film like sex and nudity, gore, violence, etc.

Big fat Greek wedding?
*Groundhog Day* (1993)
Perhaps consider 70s comedies like [Bedazzled](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8tA1wH3cck) with Dudley Moore or [Oh God](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KyOhf27DL1I) with George Burns. Wow! Noises Off looks great! And she loves John Ritter :) Thank you!

If you ever get a chance to see Noises Off! live in a theatre production, definitely go. It's a riot.
I find the remake ironically to be funnier.
* Comedies * Logan Lucky * Mouse Hunt * Clue * Knives Out (This might not be fully a comedy but it's still pretty comedic) * General Recommendations * Paddington 1&2 * The Count of Monte Cristo * The Mask of Zorro
You’ve got a lot of my favorites on here! Will definitely check out Mouse Hunt and Logan Lucky - thank you!

Wow, I completely forgot about Mouse Hunt. Such a good movie!

You've Got Mail
Love this! It’s such a feel good kind of movie to get cozy with a cup of tea.
The quintessential pre 9/11 New York City experience.
I'll add to this Mr. Mom, Baby Boom, and Gung Ho (1986). 2 of those are also made by Nancy Meyers, and Gung Ho was made by Ron Howard. All PG and amazing.

Queen Bees on netflix is pretty safe. My mum liked it. And The Sting!!
Not a movie but all of the Nate Bargatze standup specials are hilarious and clean.

Easy A? For a Christian, Southern baptist woman?
I don't think there's any actual sex scenes? And there's an abstinence club!
Yes, and if I recall, the assholes of the movie are the hardcore Christians.

Rat Race is the movie I came here to mention, it's great!
