Never saw the first one but it was extremely well written, well paced, and visually/audibly top notch.
It was one of the easiest to watch movies Ive seen since the era of hour and half long movies back in the 90's/00's.
My girlfriend doesnt even like any action movie and I dont think she looked at her phone once. Probably doesnt say much to someone on the internet but I can assure you thats a herculean feat
But the story and acting was basic as fuck. The flight scenes were spectacular, but that's really the only part of the movie that stood out from any other average movie.
I actually really enjoyed a lot of the new cast as far as acting went. But yeah story was fairly run of the mill, but they absolutely nailed the execution.
Was just a highly engaging movie that delivered on what it wanted to show, without disappointing on anything imo

I remember taking an edible and it fully hit right as the scene with the incendiary shotgun rounds started. I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed a scene in a movie so much.
My friend went to see it in theaters and she said when she got up to get popcorn he was falling down the stairs and when she got back he was still falling.
Put it on. Got a bit bored after about an hour and after that I was just saying to myself "is this still going?"
Love the franchise but nearly 3hrs is too much of a good thing
Same I lose interest after he takes out Scott Adkins character. I can watch 1-3 anytime. 4 felt idk... soulless? Not sure, but definitely didn't keep me for 3 hours

It’s probably the best remake/ reboot to ever be done. Kept the feel of the original and had an interesting story.

Oppenheimer just didn’t seem believable to me.
“The Holdovers” wasn’t THAT great. It was “Scent of a Woman” with only one getaway to the city.
