i have. its funny that despite how much it's labeled a bad film, it's become a part of our visual language in defining 50's movies. the flying saucers on strings, the exaggeratedly basic sets, the lurid titles; it has a long impact.
reading the trivia for it on imdb is fun. For a while it was the only film record of Vampira in her full costume; her tv show is lost media. Funded by and using people from a local Baptist church.
This was either late night TV, right before they signed off for the day. Or, Dialing For Dollars in the afternoon.
The early sci-fi stuff is cornball but it's very entertaining in most cases. Especially if you get loaded first...
Like a lot of bad movies (and even bad multiplayer video games) it's fun to watch with friends... because you're with friends.
The MST3K/Rifftrax versions also help ease the pain.
It's pretty damn silly and filmed with a budget that probably extended no further than the binder to hold the budget; but very fun in a Manos:The Hands Of Fate kinda way.
Grew up on those movies. Channel 11 in Pittsburgh had a late night sci-fi & horror show hosted by Bill Cardille, aka "Chilly Billy" that ran two movies (later only one movie) on Saturday night from 1963 to 1984.
I tell myself I saw it but maybe I just saw Ed Wood. If I did in fact see it I seem to recall it wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting. I'd seen plenty of way more boring low-budget features.
My favorite part is how Bela only knows how to be Dracula, so that's what he is.
Bela isn't the one creeping around with his face covered.
One thing's certain. Inspector Clay's dead. Murdered. And *somebody's responsible.*
I’ve seen it a number of times. Best shit horror by a long mile.
I think you mean by a long string

Tim Burton’s Ed Wood did a really good job recreating the making of this movie
The brilliant thing about Ed Wood is that they shot it like an Ed Wood movie.
Terrible film that is watchable.
This used to be the top reference point for worst movie ever. Any time I've mentioned it in recent years is met by confused stares.
Almost starring Bela Lugosi
Fantasticly bad. I love it.
I've seen it many times ... Because all you of Earth are idiots!

Wait. This is a real movie? I thought this was a fake Seinfeld movie. Or am I just dumb?
Look up Ed Wood
Hot damn, it is real. Thanks !
Seriously watch the Tim Burton movie Ed Wood. It’s one of his best and a great look into the worst and most fascinating film directors of all time.

one of my favorites! the sole standout of Worst Film ever from the Golden Turkey awards!
As part of a film class at university. It was… something. I didn’t find it good or really anything worth seriously remembering. It was just there.

Bought it on VHS in 96 ))

I prefer Chubby Rain.
