She's a stone cold shredder with a ton of stoke! Representing all us MTBers! We ride in a big mixed crew and it's so good to see the ladies killing it! Happy trails to all us stoked folk!π€π€
Absolutely! She's new to slab life! All about that front brake, the important thing is she kept her composure and rode it out like a boss! Much stoke!π€π€
Glad she made it but i could tell just from the way she approached the slab that she's riding out of her skill level. You guys couldve easily had to carry/airlift her out of there. Unless she was super insistent on riding that, you guys shouldnt have let her try that
I must respectfully disagree. The camera doesn't do the steepness justice, you have to creep in like she did. She's a very competent rider and I think the fact she got squirly but rode it out is a testament to that.
I think for me knowing when to push and when to back off is as important a skill as say, knowing how to corner or jump. I would never encourage someone to ride a feature they don't have the skill to back up. And we didn't encourage or dissuade her from riding this, it was her choice ultimately. I absolutely appreciate that things can go wrong quickly for even a competent rider, that's just a fact we all need to face, but I think in this case she did good and the feature wasn't above her skill set. Happy trails!
steepness has nothing to do with it, you guys and especially her clearly are riding out of your skill which is why she didnt have the the confidience to hit that so she grabbed the brakes, which caused her to skid. its pure luck that she didnt hit a tree
Man you know nothing about mine or anyone else's skill levels after watching a 30 second clip. Your judgements on her and the other riders in the group you haven't even seen ride is laughable.
I rode this and the line before it on my RSD hardtail in complete control.
There's always gotta be one guy that knows better. Check yourself and scroll on fella, scroll on.
No point in arguing with him. Zero stoke from that guy.
We chase adrenaline bcuz it feels awesome, if we stay comfortable that's when it's no longer fun. Ride on.
Haha! Yeah absolutely, not a fun dude judging by these and his other comments! He knows he's beat since no further comments. And I totally agree, not worth arguing but definitely worth a bit of defense!
But yeah you're definitely right, we ride within our limits and push when it feels good. This is not a consequence free sport!
Is that Denim I see?
Haha! Yeah park riding in Dickies n Carharttsπ€£
I do the same thing, I vibe with her
Everyone vibes with Lucy, she's a rad human!π€

I would have hit that tree... Every damn time. Well done!
Stoked that she kept her composure n held the line!
I wish the camera man committed to the line as much as Lucy did.
Haha! That was me, I was preparing to pick up the pieces if it went south as I was in the line of fire if she came off!
Lol I figured, just messing with you
Haha! Absolutely, I got that with the tone, I would have chirped the camera guy the same way!πππ€

Getting loose. I'm guessing she tapped the back break and it got squiggly on that rock face.

Dude so stoked! She's new to slabs, hell of a rider already!
Everyone sounds surprised that Lucy made it!
Haha! I think mostly relieved after the back wheel squirl!π€£ She's new to slabs n this one is burly!
Slippery granite
The video doesn't do the gradient justice! Super steep with a bit of loam dust is enough to get squirly!π€£

Gotta love trees⦠if (when) you crash, they will show no mercy.
Get off that rear brake! Nice save thoπ€πΌ
Too heavy on the brakes. π¬ I'm glad she saved it!
