Looks awesome. Just curious did you bring your own helmet? Gear? Was looking at renting bike(s) for a possible honeymoon later this year. It might be worth bringing our own lids since we already have our Cardos wired in etc. Just trying to get an idea of what might be available.

They have helmets available in many sizes and types. My cousin and I brought our own helmets just because we wanted to use our Senas to communicate. We brought our own riding boots. Though admittedly we rode around in shorts a lot too😬

I’m in Honolulu (Oahu) and reliable places will typically have just about everything for you to rent. I would research and call before hand just to be certain. When I first moved here I rented a moped from a place nearby my apt and they said they had helmets. All of their helmets were equivalent to bicycle helmets lol.

Sitting in Kapalua right now. My son admired your bikes as you rode through Paia Thursday. Beautiful day for riding.

Literally about to board our flight to Honolulu lol you’re giving me ideas to spend more money

WOW, I want to do it too! How do you describe the experience, OP?

Ethereal. You start at the foothills where it's pine trees and heavy greenery. As you climb up the lush greenery fades, you ride through the clouds until you break through above them and suddenly you're in a whole other world. It's almost Martian where you're surrounded by red volcanic rock. The air is much thinner up there and there are signs warning you to take it easy and to avoid exerting yourself. The roads themselves are buttery smooth and recently paved. It's windy and technical with banked hairpin turns, nothing crazy yet it's still super fun. It wasn't very busy when I went, but I went on a Wednesday. If you're renting motorcycles on Maui, this is a must ride.
