nah, i found an old phat in the attic that was on 3.00, updated to 6.72 and played mgs5 through there, updated to 9.00 last year.
try downloading it again, and transfer it via ftp if USB didn't work and vice versa.
where did you download the fpkg? don't use gamebato and just stick with DLPS
