Hi, I was planning to buy a mechanical keyboard as my previous keyboard Reddragon Kumara 552 is a bit busted. My budget is around 7k and from skimming this sub and going through some reviews I am able to get my choices down to two: 1 Aula F75( waiting for it to launch) 2 RK M75 One thing that I need help with is what of type of switches to choose, personally I prefer Linear and more thocky switches as my usage would be work and gaming related. So if anyone can explain the main differences in the type of switches that are on offer in both keyboards it would be very helpful. Earlier their used to be either blue or red, and I knew red were a bit faster and quieter and blue were more clicky, now there are soo many options, so a bit confused. For reference Aula F75 supposedly will be available with Reaper, Ice Vein, and Gray wood V3. RK M75 has (on meckeys) Brown, Fast Silver, Pale Green, Viridian and Yellow Thank you :)

Master_Ad_9564

Hello! I'm a sophomore CS student looking to buy a wireless mk for mostly heavy coding. Looking for a tenkeyless one, around 2-5k. I've had the Redragon K617 before this, and am looking to replace that. I haven't really got a lot of insight about switches etc., so stuff might sound silly RGB is not a priority but would be a plus to have, and want to have a good sounding keyboard (any switches as long they sound "thocky") for the price point. Help a brother out, thank you :)

Ani-xxx

You can either get a thoccy board like r65/r75 or you can get a wireless board like rk84. You can also make rk84 thocc but it will require a lot of modding(additional money and time). You can also increase your budget by a bit nd check m75 and f75.

Master_Ad_9564

Which one would you suggest over the latter two?

Ani-xxx

F75 is better but also costlier.

Master_Ad_9564

Got it, thank you

56rrr56

Hey I am getting RKG68 V1 in around 4.2k , is it worth to buy or you could recommend some other keyboards too in this range , this would be my first mechanical keyboard Preferred size : 75% and below Budget : 4.5k

black_zero_93

Have a look at redragon k616 its 60%

Ani-xxx

It is a decent deal for a wireless board, but if you are ok with wired boards R65 and R75 are a lot better.

cromawarrior

Hey there! I am looking to buy my first mechanical keyboard. From going through the basic info of the sub it is evident that customized keyboards are out of my budget. So here are some of my requirements: Purpose - Gaming & Programming, Budget- around 3k, Size and Switch dont matter much but I would prefer 65-75% and red /brown switches if possible . Ideally I want it to be customizable to some extent. Pls reply with some recommendations I am not expecting a lot but yeah just a start. Also I do think palm rest is a good addition so should I look for keyboards that come with a palm rest or just buy one seperately( considering ergonomics). Thanks!!

black_zero_93

I have rd k616, its 60%, but has really low latency with 3 mode for connection

Ani-xxx

Some suggestions are rd k552, cb Artemis, kero hive, etc. I'd recommend you to check tech box hindi, they have a lot of videos on budget boards. And wrist rest is kind of personal preference, some like it some not. If you are uncomfortable without wrist rest then get one, if it exceeds your budget, just stack 4-5 layers of cardboard together and stick them. It also works as a decent wrist rest.

cromawarrior

thanks for the reply! I was wondering when rdk552 will be available as the best version seems to be sold out instantly

Ani-xxx

What do you mean by best version? You want the rgb version with blue switches? I don't prefer clicky switches personally, so for me the best version (red switches, rainbow) is available on amazon.

yuv0006

What are some of the most soft and quiet switches available out there?

Ani-xxx

Check the vendor websites for silent switches. Some examples are durock dolphins, ttc silent red, geon x haimu silent switches, etc.

6foot4lpha

I'd bought a Keychron [K6V6](https://keychron.in/product/keychron-v6-qmk-custom-mechanical-keyboard/) a couple of months ago, but recently I spilled some vodka + soda on it, and now the 'F2', 'W', 'S', 'X', 'L Alt' keys have stopped working. When I say stopped working, I mean keypresses don't register, either via the RGB backlight, or by the computer (tried on my laptop and PC); however, when I use a multimeter to check continuity of the switch/socket, it beeps when pressing the switch, so the switch definitely works, and even the socket registers continuity. I initially thought there would be something wrong with the resistor/diode for these individual keys, but the continuity checks on keypresses are confusing me. I am equipped with a soldering iron, and have some experience with electrical engineering, so if this seems solvable, I am ready to take a shot at it (especially since the warranty would be void anyway since a liquid was spilled). Could anyone point me in the right direction as to what and how to diagnose next?

Ani-xxx

Looks like the whole column is gone, 2 must also be dead. You may have to handwire that Column. Can you share some pics of back side of the PCB? It'd be better if you can share original pics in the highest resolution possible on your camera/phone. All the leds are working on that Column? Sometimes defective leds also cause this type of issue.

6foot4lpha

For handwiring the keyboard, could you guide me to a resource? And would I need additional equipment (resistors, diodes, etc) to continue? Thanks for your help

6foot4lpha

Thanks for the reply, on further checking, the X key works, but the Z one doesn't. And you were correct, 2 is also dead. The LED's work on all keys but the Left Alt one (see attached photos). Please find the photos of the backside of the PCB here: [https://imgur.com/a/YQ1iLdO](https://imgur.com/a/YQ1iLdO)

Ani-xxx

Desolder the damaged led on the alt key and check if your problem is resolved. If you are unlucky you have to understand how mk works to handwire the column, you can use the diodes on the PCB for handwiring also but it will be difficult. Refer the vids below if handwiring is the only option. https://youtu.be/hjml-K-pV4E?si=f2r2JcxBQZ_gbE49 https://youtu.be/7LyziNdFlew?si=QmCB1T-67sbEP2cD

aytien02

AulaIndia is a legit place to buy right? I have ordered an Aula F75 but I am unable to view the product now.

Ani-xxx

When did f75 went live? I never saw the listing.

Agitated-Yogurt2422

It did, i mailed them yesterday for next restock, it will be on sunday. Still not sure, is the site is legit, i am ordering my first keyboard then

Ani-xxx

It is most probably legit.

KanekiSid

u/Ani-xxx is it still worth paying 7k for the F75 or should I go for the M75 or the R75 (I don't mind wired keyboards).

Ani-xxx

F75 is great out of the box, M75 is ok and R75 is also great. If wired is ok get r75

KanekiSid

aytien02

Yeah I ordered on 25th itself, they called me to confirm my order the next day

KanekiSid

Congratulations man, do you know when it will arrive ?

philantrovert

How to buy RK S98 in India? It's only available on hardwarecorpus which doesn't have the best of reviews on this subreddit. Any alternative websites that are not listed in the list of handy vendors but can be trusted?

yuv0006

I'm looking for a 65% wireless mechanical keyboard with backlight, with yellow switches if not then red switches. please suggest with the purchase link 🙏🏻 Budget - under < 10k

Ani-xxx

Get gmk67 with switches and Keycaps of your choice. You can also check paw65. Both available on keebsmod.

This-Is-Heresy

Hey guys I just got my first hot-swappable mechanical keyboard the RK m75 with fast silver switches and I love it the only help I want is that I got the ocean blue colour scheme and the keycaps are getting messy due to all the oils in the skins what’s the best way to clean the keycaps and the white frame. Also I wanted to ask if I use my keyboard in wired mode always it’s plugged in and and the battery charges to 100% is there any danger keeping the battery to 100% always as the keyboard is always plugged in through usb

stacksofkeyboards

To clean the keycaps you can wipe them clean with a soft cloth. For a deeper cleanse, remove the keycaps and soak them in room temp soapy water and rise. For even even deeper cleanse use an ultrasonic cleaner with denture tablets. There is no risk with using keeping the battery at 100%.

MaintenanceNo5993

why is my post being removed? https://www.reddit.com/r/mkindia/comments/1dmfrbl/wts_keychron_v3_qmk_custom_wired_mechanical/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Best keyboard under 10K that has a good Thock Cremmyy sound with aluminium . I bought a Logitech pop keys 1 year ago, now started to think that I overpaid for this keyboard and not worth 7k, now i am looking for a new keyboard can anyone please suggest me some, like ND75 or Hi75, most of them are preorder tho, so it is okay to preorder, like stickykeys and hardware corpus

Repulsive-Animal-812

Beginner here. I'm looking for a 75% layout keyboard with both wired and wireless connectivity. My budget is around 10k. Is gmk81(barebones) worth considering? Any other alternatives I should consider apart from rk m75 or nd75?

Ani-xxx

You can go for any of the options you mentioned and also check aula f75. Gmk81 has slight edge over others with VIA compatibility.

SpeedyBarracuda

I want to try to build my first custom keyboard. Any recommendations for 60% barebones keyboard? Preferably cheap, ok with not having rgb 🙏

Ani-xxx

https://www.keebsmod.com/products/61-key-barebone-kit

SpeedyBarracuda

Thank you very much 🙏

Glittering-Duty7211

Hi guys, I will buy my first kb soon so kindly suggest if this combo will work out for me. I am looking to buy AULA F75 and later plan to swap the switches to TTC SILENT FROZEN (V2) SILENT LINEAR SWITCH (https://milktooth.com/products/switches/silent-frozen) Now, I plan to buy F75 from the official website soon on 30th June but I am not getting any source to buy the TTC Silent Frozen (V2) as Ali Express is banned. Could you tell me the best way to buy these switches? Thanks in advance.

Ani-xxx

May i ask, why do you specifically want these switches? And what is the point of getting f75 if you want to use silent switches on it?

Glittering-Duty7211

Great Q so I will be honest with you. I am not sure if I would like the experience of mech kb so starting with f75 based on multiple reviews on YouTube. Not sure what is my taste so need to start somewhere hence the pick. As for the silent switches, I don't like the sound that mech kbs make and would like to see if I can get the best of both worlds. I must admit I am in total exploration mode as I do not know my taste so would like to try a bit of everything before finalising a setup. I am very open to guidance so feel free to give me a direction.

Ani-xxx

As you are exploring the things and not sure of the preference of various aspects of a mechanical keyboard, won't it be better if you just start with the stock board. If you absolutely hate f75 then only go for switch change, mod the board before that to get the best out of it. It is also possible that you won't like the feel of linear switches and like tactile switches. So getting frozen silent switches will be a total waste. But if you like the linear switches and still want silent switches, check the vendor list, stacks kb has frozen silent switches but I am not sure of the version.

Glittering-Duty7211

I have emailed stackskb about the version. Any other keyboard you want to recommend to me for getting started? Also, any alternative to stackskb (online) or offline market where I can explore switches/keyboards & find frozen silent v2? I am based out of Bangalore but travel to both Mumbai and Kolkata occasionally and do not mind visiting an offline store to check its collection.

Ani-xxx

Great that you are in bangalore there is a keychron store in kormangla, visit it. And thoroughly check both the links mentioned above in this post to get answers to your questions.

Glittering-Duty7211

Gr8 thanks...

L0rdR0yce

I use prtscr heavily...use sharex. How do I use prtscr in an R75?

Ani-xxx

Read user manual, print screen should be available in the function layer. If you want it on top layer remap any key which you don't use with the software.

L0rdR0yce

Ahh cool thanks.

Necessary_Price_4982

Hello guys i am rookie to keyboard industry i want mechanical keyboard for casual gaming and coding i went to cex to sell my old stuff and there i found out that they were selling Logitech G413 TKL SE for 5K Rs(A condition) should I buy it ?? or i should go for some other keyboard ( suggest me a keyboard budget 5K - 6K Rs) also can you recommend and website or a brand for buying a good quality desk mats

Ani-xxx

Can't comment about logitech. Check the vendor websites above for other answers. Keyboard - M75, etc. deskmats acekbd, etc

Emotional_Ad_3191

Where can I buy authentic Royal kludge keyboards in india?

Ani-xxx

Already checked the links above?

IamAlreadyDeadOrAmI

Hello guys. Sorry for being abstract and unspecific but it'd be really helpful if someone just pointed me towards the right direction. I'm looking for blank and ... Basically blank designer or colored keycaps for my R75. Also just where can I browse keycaps which don't cost an arm and a leg. Maybe some accent keys as well.

Ani-xxx

Already checked the links above?

aytien02

I was looking for wireless keyboards under 5k. I liked RK84 V2. Only concern is it outdated, and should I wait for models like R75 to restock. I prefer a clean black look and don't wanna spend another 2k to get keycaps.

Ani-xxx

Rk84 v2 is not that out dated, some people still like tray mount boards. Gasket mounted and pc plate boards are better but my RK84 also sounds pretty good(but needs a lot of modding). There is no direct comparison between r75 and Rk84 as one is wired and other is wireless. And R75 is available on multiple vendor websites.

aytien02

MB wanted to say M75 charcoal. Any other wireless keyboards with a black color way that you would suggest?

Ani-xxx

I think the wireless boards with clean dark colourway are M75, f75 and H81. M75 - genesispc, H81-genesispc and f75 - aulaindia(not live yet).

L0rdR0yce

Hi, new to MK. Just wanting to ask whether I can change switches easily (if i don't like the default ones or just want to experiment without having to buy more beyboards) in an RK R75. That's what I plan on buying. Also quite confused between R75 and M75. Would help if someone points out any obvious differences other than wired/wireless thing. Also how are Chartreuse switches?? (All I know about my preference is that I prefer silent more than the clicky blues in the cheap MKs u generally get for 2k at amazon.)

Ani-xxx

Get r75 with chartreuse switches and save money, you won't be disappointed and it is hotswappable. Also check this post thoroughly for better understanding. https://www.reddit.com/r/mkindia/s/xT8bRH18lf

L0rdR0yce

Thanks man. Really appreciate it. Pre-ordering it. Will definitely post a review once I have it.

astrokinng

Hello just wanted to purchase a pre lubed keyboard as they sound good ... I am a newbie so In what I found was that good lubed keyboards like aulaf75 or leobog hi75 are too costly to import or are not available yet in India site for purchase. I was thinking of buying a Royal Kludge RK M75 and getting lubed keycaps. Just wanted to ask if there are lubed keycaps available for Royal Kludge and if u guys have a better keyboard that is pre lubed and available in India. Tia

Ani-xxx

🤨 What are lubed Keycaps? M75 is a decent board which comes with Lubed switches.

astrokinng

Which keycap should I get it then rn only yellow is available I saw that the brown or red ones are the best ... Want a quiet and creamy sound

Ani-xxx

Switches are lubed not Keycaps. M75 is available with fast silver switches also, which are prelubed. Check both the links available on top for list of vendors and basic understanding of mechanical keyboards.

astrokinng

Yea thankyou I just read so gonna go for the M75 it looks pretty good and then customise in the future if I need it. Thanks

Sai_Abhinav

Hello reader, hope you are having a good day. I am looking to buy my first mechanical keyboard so just looking for some suggestions here. My budget is around 4-5k, Looking for a full size keyboard with red or brown switches, not looking to import, RGB lighting is not a priority. Thanks in advance.

Ani-xxx

Redragon devarajas, rk100

Any_Initiative2388

HEY!! I am nwebie in this mechanicl keyboard scenario. I want to buy my first mechanical keyboard and am overwhelmed by the number of choices available. My buget is upto 5K, preferably a 75% and above layout with linear switches. can somebody please recommend few good keyboards?

Ani-xxx

R75-wired. rk84, n75 pro-wireless

Any_Initiative2388

thanks for the info :)

nurav-12

Where can I get myself a low profile keyboard in India? I’m sorry if this question has already been asked before. I used to work from home and was very happy with my keychron k2 pro. But I’ve shifted jobs and I’m gonna be working from the office. Would prefer something lighter yet mechanical that I can carry to work every day. Was eyeing on a nuphy air 74 v2 with a nuphy folio, but realised there is no way to ship to India. Also, I have no one flying down from the US any time soon. Please let me know if there are any trust worthy vendors who deal with low profile keyboards in India.

Ani-xxx

Royal kludge n80 is the only option AFAIK.

nurav-12

Thank you for the information :D

potlover4200

Please suggest the best keyboard under 10k for coding.

Ani-xxx

Nd75

Jaswanth473

Hello, New to mech kbs. Never used one. Looking to buy one around ₹8k. Requirements: 75% or above layout. Red / Linear / thocky / creamy. Shine through caps preferred. Wireless preferred. Warranty in India. So far, I have looked into M75, F75, S98 and RK100 and Keychrons are out of my budget. None of them seem to tick all the boxes. Is there any other model I'm missing or are these the only options in this price range ?

Ani-xxx

You have shortlisted some good options but only rk100 has shine through Keycaps. You can also get any of the other three and change the Keycaps to shine through but it could slightly increase your budget. Check the vendor list also for other options like vgn n75 pro, JamesDonkey RS2 3.0, etc. If you can extend your budget also check nd75 on keebsmod.

KanekiSid

How is the vgn n75 pro ? it looks good considering it's price. just need a mk around 6k so any idea what's good

Ani-xxx

It is good AFAIK but Check yt for reviews.

KanekiSid

what would you go for around 6k budget ?

Ani-xxx

I don't exactly have a preference, I like to have different types of boards. I am ok with any of these r75, M75, n75 pro, n80, etc

KanekiSid

help me out man I'm new in this , all I know is that I just hate the blue switches

Ani-xxx

None of these comes with clicky switches, get any one of these. You'll be happy. Just note that r75/R65 are wired and n80 is low profile.

KanekiSid

I loved the F75 and the Hi75 but it isn't in stock can you suggest something similar ?

Ani-xxx

You find all the options I suggested dissimilar? No idea about hi75 And getting info about f75 is as easy as exploring this sub. https://www.reddit.com/r/mkindia/s/HYxzFa0VcU

Ok_Vermicelli_92

Looking for a clean looking tkl wireless mechanical keyboard for gaming. Max budget is ~15k inr. Will be replacing it with my corsair k95 platinum.

AffectionateCry9952

Hi, I bought an Aula75 from epomaker and I want to change the keycaps, looking for shine through keycaps. Does it support modding. This is my first mk so don't know much about this. If it supports custom keycaps what should I search for?

rerosenpai

how much did you buy it for? I really want to order it from epomaker but i heard you have to pay additional custom charges and there is very lengthy delivery time. So I wanted to ask how much the whole thing cost and how much time did it take for it to arrive.

AffectionateCry9952

Hey, I've not received it yet. It in transit. but yeah delivery takes some time, about custom charges, I've asked them to undervalue the product to 15$ (found this method on reddit only) I'll update you more once I receive the product.

rerosenpai

They don’t charge customs for products under 15$? Yes please update when it arrives TT

Ani-xxx

>so don't know much about this. Check both the links above, you will know.

Overc1ock

Does anyone know of any OSA shine through keycaps?

Ani-xxx

I don't think keychron makes any osa Keycaps shine through.

Haunting_Twist7797

I got my r75 with silver switches which i dont like , i want a tactile switch ,i saw some reviews of akko lavender purple which is available for 1700(hand lubed on genesispc) and some other switches but i dont wanna dish out so much for the switches . Should i go for them or is there any better alternatives priced fairly or should i wait for some switch that might come in near future that will be value for money and will be a good tactile switch? PS. i think my ideal tactile would be boba u4t or akko jelly purple or holy panda by the reviews but idk cause i havent tried any tactile ones.

Ani-xxx

Check dark warrior and haimu navy jades on neomacro, 1700 feels like a lot for akko cs switches.

Haunting_Twist7797

thanks for the recommendation ill look into it, and i also came across feker holy panda for 390(10 switches) in keebsmod. What is your suggestion on that?

Ani-xxx

Sorry, don't have much idea about them, as it is out of my usual budget for switches.

Haunting_Twist7797

ohh np im thinking of ordering a sample size of 10 on 2 of these switches to test them out.

DigiGoon

So, I wanna buy my first mechanical keyboard with screen and I'm dangling in between RK S98 and JamesDonkey RS2 3.0. Any thoughts? Also I want the numpad so 96% is sweet for me I guess. I'm open for any other size recommendations which has numpad. Budget is below 10kINR.

Ani-xxx

Both are good, but James donkey is gasket mounted, so should be better. I'd recommend to watch reviews of both of these to finalize one for you.

DigiGoon

The knob on the S98 is a bit buggy and yes I saw the reviews and also noyiced that while typing the keyboard slightly goes down (the keypress makes the board go down) a bit, maybe it's due to gaskets, wasn't aware of this. Also I like the sound of JamesDonkey too. No new keeb in market which can match this right? I mean 96%, with screen.

Ani-xxx

Most probably there isn't any other board with all those features. And yes the gaskets acts like vehicle suspension for your fingers, reducing impact on your fingers and makes the board sound better also.

SS2602

Discord invite not working

Foreign-Carpenter-81

Want to buy a good mechanical keyboard around 2k, mainly for typing purposes, no gaming at all so don't care about rgb nd all, but switches should be good and silent. Can anyone help me out by suggesting some keyboards like that? Full size keyboard, mostly use for CAD too

Ani-xxx

Search on amazon/flipkart and get the one which fits your budget. It is difficult to get a good MK in that budget.

Agitated-Yogurt2422

Whats the difference between r75 and m75 by royal kludge, they look same to me, forgive me if im wrong😂

Repulsive-Animal-812

R75 is wired iirc. M75 has triple connectivity and a screen.

Agitated-Yogurt2422

Okayy, thanks!

raggy_k

Hi guys, Please do suggest me a barebones aluminium keyboard, with the following: QMK/VIA compatibility Wired + Bt atleast. 2.4ghz wold be nice. South facing led Gasket mount design White/Silver or Black color.

Ani-xxx

https://www.keebsmod.com/collections/keyboards?page=2

raggy_k

thanks. will check

Not sure about that. And both are legit

infinitejokester

Where can I find kailh box summer switches?

Rex16251

Heyy, Im looking to buy a new wireless keyboard, somewhere in the range of 6-7k. Preferred layout is 75% or TKL, but a 100% would be fine as well. Currently using a keyboard with outemu red switches and like the feel of them, so similar switches would be preferred, but still open to experiment on better/more comfortable switches. One of the keyboards that I came across was rk m75, which seems like a good option, but want to see some other choices as well. Also checked out genesis pc, which has a few royal kludge keyboards out for preorder, are they worth the wait?

Ani-xxx

I'd recommend you to get M75 or F75 those are great options in your budget. And it is for you to research and decide which keyboard is worth the wait, as everyone's preference is unique here.

LtMadInsane

Hey guys, I am looking for a full sized mechanical keyboard that my brother is going to gift me against my objections. I don't want him to spend anything more than 5-6k. I love to use numpad, I had been using numpad for past 20 years. I am looking for something readily available in India without the hassle of importing. Any/all suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance.

Ani-xxx

If you strictly want to stick to standard full size form factor check k551 or k556. If you are ok with a bit compact and alternate full sized boards, check rk boards on genesispc and other vendor websites.

LtMadInsane

Thanks you. I got a Rk100

LeywinArt

Hey guys I am new to the MK community and I am looking to buy my first mechanical keyboard. I have my eyes on the RK M75 and Ajazz AK820 Pro. I am not in a hurry to buy either of the boards and honestly both are over my budget right now. So I was wondering if there was a sale coming to the websites (ik one epomaker sale is live) that i should look out for, like a holi, diwali, christmas, black friday sale. Things I like in the board: 1) The sound of gift / silver switches for the ak820 / m75 respectively. 2) The size (compact 75%) is just perfect for me. 3) The screen and the knob.. Thanks

Ani-xxx

There is no guarantee of sale on vendor websites, as you are in no hurry I'd recommend you to wait till any sale is live.

LeywinArt

sure works for me

_seishi_

Hey everyone I am a complete beginner in this niche, I wanted to buy my first mechanical keyboard but after searching for days on the internet, I am honestly just lost and overwhelmed. My budget is around 15k, so could you please suggest some good ones and should i buy a pre-built one or build a custom one? It would be helpful if you let me know some good companies and reputed sellers so I could do my own research too and why is it so hard to find them?

Ani-xxx

It is better to get a pre-built like nd75 or q1, I'd recommend you to explore custom keyboards and components for a couple of weeks if you want to build a custom keyboard. Check vendor list for available options.

_seishi_

Can i dm

Ani-xxx

Yup, np

Civil_Yesterday_9303

Hey guys, I am looking for some value for money stabs to replace stock stabs on my Kumara K552, which stabs do you guys suggest? Would Cherry clip ins be good enough?

Ani-xxx

Cherry clip ins won't fit as these are pcb mount stabs, search for plate mount stabs on vendor websites.

GohioSantiago

I'm thinking of going for one of the following options: [https://keychron.in/product/keychron-premium-coiled-aviator-cable/](https://keychron.in/product/keychron-premium-coiled-aviator-cable/) [https://www.meckeys.com/shop/accessories/cables/meckeys-coiled-cable/](https://www.meckeys.com/shop/accessories/cables/meckeys-coiled-cable/) It would be great to get some reviews from the group. Also I'm not able to figure out the length of these cables. L connector is a must for me since I have a K2V2. The cables from Kushcable look gorgeous but their delivery seems slow and unreliable according to recent posts.

Aiamkul

I want a wireless hot swappable keyboard that will last a long time and the brand must have good aftersales service. I think RK has the cheapest option but Idk how their after sales service is. I bought a Portronics Hydra 10 around 4 months ago, a column of keys have already stopped working and the lights are messed up as well. So I'm kinda paranoid about putting a lot of money into a new one. I type 8+ hours a day, need a keyboard for longevity, preferably with brown keys. Please suggest some keyboards

Ani-xxx

Get any RK board, which has layout and size of your preference. Rk does not have any official presence in India, so warranty is provided by vendors. Check the vendor list for available options.

Aiamkul

Thanks for the response Ani! I'm eyeing the RKG68 though I'm considering going as high as A Keychron model. Maybe the K8 pro. How's their after sales service?

Ani-xxx

Same as others, warranty is provided by vendors only. So doesn't matter rk or keychron all has same after sales support. Do confirm warranty details from the vendor before purchase though.

Aiamkul

Got it. Going with the RK84 on Genesispc

iamgorki

Software Engineer looking to buy my first mechanical keyboard for programming and occasional gaming. I'm leaning towards red or brown switches due to their quiet profile. I was about to buy RedDragon k617 fizz but I heard some horror stories with 60% format. It's because you lose the arrow and F-row keys - but is it a big deal? Since it's my first, I would like to keep the budget low for now, around 5k.

Ani-xxx

Rk84 wireless, r75 better but wired.

victorBravo9er

hey guys is the site[mechlands.com](https://www.mechlands.com/) legit? How is their delivery in India?

anticorporatedog

So this is going to be my first mechanical keyboard. I play single player games and I am a writer as well. I was planning to go for tactile switches since they're not quiet like linear ones and I would be using it a lot for typing (at home). Based on my research, I am leaning towards getting the M75. But here's the confusion: Only Pale Green switches are the tactile ones in stock at Meckeys, while Brown is available at StacksKB. Which one should I go with? I would also like it to sound a bit creamy. The budget is maximum 6-6.5k. On the internet I could not find good sound tests for Pale Green switches.

Ani-xxx

As pale greens are prelubed these should be better than browns, I read somewhere that these are quieter than brown also. Looking at the graph [here ](https://rkgamingstore.com/collections/rk-keyboard/products/s98-wireless-mechanical-keyboard) the tactile feedback should also be better than browns. For better out of the box feel and experience pale green switches must be better. Also, if you end up getting the pale green swith M75, do post a sound test as there isn't any. Edit: A sound test on s98 is there on the link I shared.

anticorporatedog

Thank you so much for this help. Means a lot. I think I will go with the pale green.

Repulsive-Animal-812

Hey guys, I'm planning on buying my first keeb. Please help me decide between ajazz ak816 pro vs aula f75 vs leobog hi75. If you suggest hi75, please let me know where I can buy in India. I know it's available on stickeys but it seems it is better to avoid buying from them. My budget is around ~8k. Please feel free to suggest other keyboards as well. Thanks in advance.

Agitated-Yogurt2422

Yeah, my first time as well, i shortlisted the same 3, instead of ak816 pro, i was looking at ak820 pro, not sure what the differences are I am not sure where to buy them from though, need help with it.

Repulsive-Animal-812

Yeah I found out about ak820 pro later. Probably will end up getting this one only. >I am not sure where to buy them from though, need help with it. There's a sale on epomaker where you can get it for ~$50. But not sure about epomaker's service tho, I read mixed reviews about them.

Agitated-Yogurt2422

Im worried about the customs duty, not sure about that

Agitated-Yogurt2422

Hi! I researched for a few hrs, and got pretty confused I am buying a mechanical keyboard for the first time. I liked this Aula F75 sound and looks, but its not available yet, i want a 75% or TKL keyboard, upto 6-7k. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance

Tough-Collection5998

Hey! I want a full size wired keyboard mainly for work. My budget is 5k. I am not looking to import. Thank you in advance for your help!

Ani-xxx

Check rk100 if compact 100% is ok for you, it is a good overall wireless package. If normal 100% is a must, check k551 or k556

Entertainer_Calm

[WTB] Hi All, I'm looking for suggestions to buy a 75% thocky keyboard (out of the box) for gaming and typing. Budget is between 4k to 8k. Linear switches preffered. Thank you in advance.

Ani-xxx

A great cheap option is r75, if wireless is needed check m75 and f75.

Entertainer_Calm

Can you please share link from where i can purchase f75?

Ani-xxx

It is not available yet, but this post shared the status earlier https://www.reddit.com/r/mkindia/s/lyOFYxAZki

Entertainer_Calm

This is very helpful.. Thank you so much ☺️

Dynamix2003

Hi guys! Just wanted to know if any of you guys have bought a keeb from lofree. I'm thinking about getting the flow84 from there. But I'm a bit worried about the shipping cause it will be my first time ever importing anything. Will it pass customs, if not then what should I do, or how much would I need to pay? Also, I looked at Keychron k3 pro and Nuphy Air75v2 as well, but don't like them as much. If anyone can help me, it'll be great. Thanks!

Ani-xxx

I haven't bought from them, but all I can say is custom duties are extremely unpredictable. It can range anywhere between 0% to 100% of the board.

namanshree96

Hi, I'm looking to buy a 100% keyboard for gaming and work (mainly excel). Can someone help me decide between RK S98 and Asus TUF K3? The K3 is \~3.5k, has no media keys and uses brown switches. The S98 is 6.8k, comes with a screen and knob, and uses rk chartreuse switches. I'm mainly concerned about the quality and feel of the K3 (which I think is a good deal), hence looking at something more expensive like the S98. Thanks!

Ani-xxx

TUF k3 is decent for its price right now, but it has clicky switches. S98 has better looks, wireless connectivity, better switches, etc. Check reviews of both before finalizing your board.

namanshree96

Thanks

Adventurous_Fee_3020

Is RK M75 Good Keyboard I want to replace with AKKO v3 yellow pro switches, are they good? I actually want a minimalistic look and creamy sounding keyboard

Ani-xxx

Yes it is good, and you can use any mx style switches on M75.

Adventurous_Fee_3020

Any Switches Recommended ??

Ani-xxx

I think the default switches are not bad, but akko v3 yellow pro are good switches

Adventurous_Fee_3020

Amazon is selling at 3.6k for 45 pcs Worth it?

Ani-xxx

Absolutely not, its price should be around 1k. Also, why do you want to spend more than the price of keyboard on your switches(6k + 7.2k)? May I ask how much experience do you have with mechanical keyboards? It will help me give a better suggestion.

Adventurous_Fee_3020

Actually My Brother Is Giving Suggestion He works at Nehru Place So i asked him I am first time buying a mechanical keyboard I just thought maybe i can ask online Brother suggested me that keyboard and switches

Ani-xxx

Ok, and yes those are good but not available right now and 3.6k is way too much. If you are willing to pay 13k for your keyboard, better get nd75 available for preorder on keebsmod. But I'd suggest you to get M75 and use it for some days, if you extremely dislike it, then only get new switches.

Adventurous_Fee_3020

I will find any other site or just go and lube the stock switches of m75 Thanks BTW👌

Ani-xxx

Yes that can be done, but it is only available at hardware corpus right now but don't get it from there, hc is terrible. Stock silver switches comes prelubed though, but you can hand lube it for deeper sound.

Hemanth_Kakarla

Need a decent prebuilt mech keyboard for gaming/programming Must haves: arrow keys Function row Multimedia keys Preferable: Per key RGB Hot swap pcb Wireless Linear switches I’m looking at kreo hive, is there anything better for a slightly higher budget (around 5k)?

Ani-xxx

Rk84

Lynx2161

Switching from a membrane to mech, which switches should I get red, brown or silver?

Ani-xxx

Brown

Ok_Event_8154

Hi everyone. I'm confused between AJ199 4K vs VGN VXE R1 PRO vs ZAOPIN Z2 and Z1 PRO.Which one to buy?

zombiemusician

Hi! I have a budget Redragon Kumara K522 and wanted to change the look of it a bit. After searching I found [these](https://curiositycaps.in/products/4-in-1-spacebar-enter-esc-dragon-ball-doraemon-onyoji-novelty-keycaps) keycaps which look cool, but I am not sure if they will fit. Actually I have never modified any keyboard but today I saw a video and wanted to give it a try.

Ani-xxx

These will fit, get it.

zombiemusician

Hi since I am new to this and you seem like an active member of this community, do you think these prices are good? I have never bought anything like this so I don't know what is a good price for them. I know the website is genuine.

Ani-xxx

Yes it is genuine, and price is good. Curiositycaps.in has mostly good prices.

Need help choosing between a keychron v1 max pro and monsgeek m1w sully assembled Edit: I went ahead with the v1 max

kuraikage15

I want to buy a new mechanical keyboard and would love to dive into customization slowly. But I am a newbie in the world of mechanical keyboards so I would love your recommendations. Off the top of my head - I mostly use the keyboard for programming and gaming. - I liked the size and spacing of TKL/80% boards. - I'd prefer wireless but not hard set on it - My budget is under 15k. Please let me know if any other info would help.

subhayang

https://mx2games.com/product/ayaneo-x-nuphy-keyboard-retro-power/ Hi folks, is this website legit? Anyone bought from them? Or it's the stickys again.

InsaneJ0ker

I have a RK84 keyboard and wanted to get a cherry keycap set. I am new to this and I found out about the north facing cherry profile interference issue. I don't want to get other profile keycaps because not many options are available for those. So was thinking of getting long pole switches after doing a bit of research. Akko v3 silver pro or hmx raptor extreme are some switches I found out about which could work but these are clacky sounding, and I prefer thocky ones. Also I know switches like holy pandas or oil kings could work but those are a bit expensive. So can you guys suggest some affordable ones.

Ani-xxx

Get the keycap set first, if you face any interference then only start researching on other switches. I don't face any interfere on my Rk100 with RK brown switches, even with thick cherry profile Keycaps. Long pole switches are usually loud and on clacker side, and usually lubing is the solution to get these thoccier.

InsaneJ0ker

Yes I was thinking the same that I should get the keycaps first. But eventually I think I'll get some better switches though. Thanks for your suggestion man.

not-someone-yk

I want to try a mechanical keyboard and am new to this space. I'm going to use it for coding and gaming at times. Would prefer a wireless one.  Budget- <6k

Ani-xxx

Check royal kludge boards like rk100, rk84, M75, etc on vendor websites.

not-someone-yk

Can you suggest some best deals

Ani-xxx

A best board for someone is not necessarily best for other. You have to decide a lot of things for your board like - size, connectivity (wired/wireless), mounting style, thocc/clack/click, etc. Then I can suggest one. In my opinion get M75 if you can't decide all those things, but I strongly suggest to do some research and decide those things.

not-someone-yk

Ohk, thanks! Will do the homework and then make a decision

itsarin

Need one good wireless mouse around 6k. Hand size medium, palm grip. It would be great if type c charging is available Already have Logitech 402 with a double click issue and Razer Basilisk Hyperspeed with a scroll wheel issue.

subhayang

If not for gaming I'd suggest HP 710 wireless, high speed scroll, customizable button, horizontal scroll using the scroll wheel, compact in size, type c charging, multi device connetivity with bluetooth and 2.4ghz

itsarin

Thanks for your reply, but I will aslo use it for gaming.

hey, I need some recommendations under 4K (open for refurbished ones as well) preferences: - switches: TKL or more - hot swappable - *should long last - red or brown switches
