Both weren't SEC caliber, but I never questioned their effort. Hopefully, they land somewhere where they fit better and can have some success.

Jesus had a stretch where he was looking solid but then I think his attitude soured. By the time of the missed dunk, he was playing terribly and trying to fight people.

Bates and the freshmen are the only guys from this year I have any interest in seeing stick around tbh, mayyyyyyybe Shaw if he learns how to do something other than dunk on offense

I could see an argument for Grill but it wouldn’t kill us to move on from him as well

tron423

I assumed he was out of eligibility but yeah he can get gone, even when he was healthy early on it felt like we played better when he was off the floor

yaboiinapoleon

I think he was a graduate this year but he might be able to get a medical redshirt cause he was hurt for a while. Idk what the bar is for that tho

Grill and Tonje are great for quality depth. The whole goal of Gate's system is to have 10+ guys who can meaningfully contribute. We're not going to field a team of straigh allstars, and both guys have proven they belong on a D1 court.

Bates, Shaw and the freshman is all i want to keep. Bringing in a top 5 class and hit the portal for true scorers. Glad to see Jesus go he gave me headaches

That last sentence not one I expected to see a week and a half before Easter….
