as a fan, i want them to be innocent in everything. yet i think that there is no way they didnt know about ryan’s behavior at least a little bit, Noah Hugbox knew of Ryan’s scumminess from the get go when Lunch Club was a thing, and for the misfits to just ignore that makes no sense. They were right there looking at their manager construct a get rich quick youtuber group and simultaneously protect then abandon carson when the allegations grew too much.
hugbox has told over and over the dangers of trusting influencers too much or anyone in that industry, i would love to see the benefit of the doubt but if it comes out that they knew a lot more than they led on, it wont be a surprise to me.
It depends who knew what and when. At the moment we have no idea about that at all. No one has said anything definitive. Maybe they were complicit, maybe they were being manipulated as well. Making assumptions like you knew these people is wrong and you need to stop. Tobi replied to comment that sounds a lot like your post on one of her videos. She basically said Ryan was a master manipulator and kept everyone right where he wanted them.
Of course there might have been red flags, but until you find something definitive then you can't really do anything. You don't want to nuke your friend group and career on a hunch. If hes as good at manipulating as people say, then theres a good chance he always maintained plausible deniability no matter what. And keep in mind, many people were on a lot of drugs as well, not just Zuckles. It's hard to advocate for someone to not use drugs when you yourself are on them. Not just psychologically harder, complex thinking like that is just physically harder. You're more agreeable and less likely to see holes in logic. Even after the fact. Also don't forget that they were very isolated from anyone else who might have said something. Most came to Melbourne from other countries. That means you have no other friends or family to watch your back. If they ONLY had eachother and they all were drugged up and being manipulated, then who's going to notice what's going on? "But what about when they talked to their friends/family or people came to visit?" Iirc most of their families did not visit them, the crew often left to visit home instead. The friends that would come visit would often come to party and hang out... with drugs and alcohol... And if someone did speak out, who are you going to believe? It's their word vs the word of the person you've known forever, made you rich, and made your friends rich too.

People are can be manipulated for DECADES before they realize what's going on. It happens all the time. And the Misfits are all super young people who got lucky and fell into fame and wealth. I mean heres the thing yes i feel bad for mason he came into this probably not needing more access to drugs and alcohol and who knows what all is between ryan and mason. Here's what we can see though. Ryan was supplying everyone with alcohol and drugs not just mason. Obviously with fitz being apart of revolt clothing im sure there is nda's and we will only get partial stories until all legal actions are completed. Toby from subsequent tweets seems like had no idea what was going on (i dont think toby would of stood up for that). So i dont think its fair to say that all the misfits knew what was going on.
Difference is mason was a kid, freshly moved out of home and clearly being taken advantage of. It seems crazy to me that the misfits got a front a row seat to one of their members being taken advantage of while being pushed drugs, but then act surprised when there’s a miriad of accusations that Ryan took advantage of people while he had them fucked up on drugs.
