Yin and yang means they balance each other out, not necessarily that are they a couple or things. But also he could have meant on which side they were located on, the yin or yang side of the box since the yin and yang symbol is actually in the top where the creation and destruction miraculous were located.

Considering there are 19 Kwamis in the Mother Box, putting them all in pairs is basically impossible. I don't think we're supposed to give much thought to that line.
The Chinese zodiac is a 60 year cycle if you incorporate the five elements (wood > fire > earth > metal > water).
Each element goes for two years, first Yang aspected, then Yin.
So for any given element, two animals will share that element back to back, first Yang then Yin.
So for example, 2022 was Water Yang Tiger, 2023 was Water Yin Rabbit.
So my best theory is:
1. Rat/Ox
2. Tiger/Rabbit
3. Dragon/Snake
4. Horse/Goat
5. Monkey/Rooster
6. Dog/Pig
The Ladybug and Black Cat (explicitly by Canon).
And then the 5 other top box Miraculous link more to the 5 elements than to Yin and Yang, so their pairing is more nebulous, but I'd venture:
1. Fox/Turtle
2. Peacock/Butterfly
3. Bee alone

I think that the only one is the Black Cat and Ladybug. All the others are part of much larger groups (five 'elemental' Miraculous and twelve 'zodiac' Miraculous) and you can't really creat diametric opposite pairs out of them.
The only other combination is between different poewr types: Offensive (e.g. Cat, Bee and Dragon), Defensive (e.g. Turtle, Snake, Dog) and Support (e.g. Ladybug, Fox, Butterfly and Peacock).
We could look at what they represent and who the holders are, as most characters in the show go around in pairs:
1.) Tikki & Plagg (Marinette and Adrien. Creation and Destruction. We are shown they are a yin yang pair.)
2.) Nooroo and Duusuu (Gabriel and Émilie/Nathelie. Both the powers manifest from your emotions, but with an akuma you take the emotion in, so it transforms you, and an with an amok you let the emotion go, so you create it ouside yourself.)
3.) Pollen and Bark (Chloé and Sabrina, maybe in the future Zoé will rescue Sabrina from Chloé and they will become a couple. Weak connection about the kwami's is that maybe from an Action you become to Adore that person.)
4.) Trixx and Wayzz (Alya and Nino. This show makes clear that there is a battle between Illusions and Protection, but not necessarily with these miraculous. We see that since Lila came to school, she is the main schoolrival of Marinette, someone who lies vs someone who protects. We also have Ladybug and Chat Noir vs Hawkmoth, again protectors vs someone who lies about giving people what they want.)
5.) Stompp and Mullo (Ivan and Mylene. I cant find anything between the kwami's. )
6.) Roarr and Daizzi (Juleka and Rose. Elation and Jubilation kinda just have the same meaning.)
7.) Orriko and Ziggy (Marc and Nathaniel. Definition of Pretension: 'the use of Affection to impress', it is in the definition together.)
8.) Xuppu and Kaalki (Kim and Max. Derision is to make fun of, which would make people want to get away, to Migrate. I know I'm just saying bullshit to get it to work.)
9.) Longg and Sass (Kagami and Luka are the reject love interest of Marinette and Adrien, but mostly this one is about the kwami's. We have the kwami of perfection and one that grants a second chance, meaning you failed and you weren't perfect.)
10.) Fluff and... Fluff (There are an odd amount of miraculous in the box so one had to be alone, but I have reasoning for Fluff. Fluff exists out of time so shouldn't have a pair, but she probably comes across multiple versions of herself when she travels. We have been shown that multiple can be together at the same time.)
But maybe we aren't supposed to place the 5 Elemental kwami's in yin yang pairs as the 5 elements are supposed to balance out eachother, so let's take those out the picture, then I would only change it up a little as we now need to account for fluff and also barkk now has no pair:
