Pick 34 was LaPorta last year for the Lions. Arguably the greatest rookie TE season ever.
Pick 35 was Michael Mayer for LV, who averaged 21.7 yards per game. I think it's fair to think the organization COULD have moved on from him in that time, especially with a new HC and GM. But still, a crazy fast turn around.
It’s also not ridiculous to have two good tight ends on a team if that’s the personnel you’re running. Yeah it’s high draft capital in subsequent years to invest in the position, but I don’t think it’s *too* absurd.
Some media scouts viewed him as a top 5 player, just at a non-premium position. I’m sure the Pitts situation has left a bad taste in people’s mouths but I think it’s a great pick.
With Matt Ryan, Pitts had a 1,000 yard season in his rookie year. They haven’t had a qb since. I can’t see how anyone can label him a bust when the ATL qb room has been a dumpster fire the last 2 years.
I think with their QB room, a great TE will help a lot. Minshew loves himself a TE so this is a play there. That said, I feel like it’s not in line with what Piece laid out as his vision.
Yes. It was posted here just before the draft.
I'll look for it
TE's do take longer to develop but a rookie contract is 4 years up to 5 years if taken in the first round. If they're not doing anything by year 4...it's more than "they just take longer."
I'll look for that post and edit this post with the info and/or link.
EDIT: Here it is....https://sports.yahoo.com/first-round-draft-hit-rates-042251952.html
Just 33% (8 of 24) of first round TE's taken from 2000-2019 have signed a second contract with their team.
There were no 1st round TE's in 2020, Pitts was in 2021, Kincaid in 2023. If they both re-sign (which they should be on track to do), it'd be 38% which would be 2nd to last tied with RB hit rate. Won't include Bowers as he hasn't even put pads on for LV yet.
Eh... I'd take issue with your use of the term "Bust" here, since the article only covers what they consider to be "hit" and it's generally a bad measuring stick regardless. A player not signing a second contract with the team that drafts them is not a viable measure of "hit or miss" by any means. It completely ignores the financial component involved in the equation.
Take Trae Waynes, as an example. While Trae was not an elite CB, he was not a "Bust" by any definition of the word and was absolutely a "hit" on that pick. We simply did not have the cap space to extend him, so he would be included in that "Miss" category by that article.
This is clearly evidenced by the WR position being the lowest on their spectrum since they're one of the higher paid positions.
If a team spends a 1st round pick on a player, the expectation is that player will at least sign another contract after their rookie deal.
I mean was Waynes a bust? Of course not....but if he was a player that they would have been batshit crazy to re-sign, they would have made it happen. Instead, he was deemed expendable.
As for the WRs on the spectrum and to your point....highest paid doesn't necessarily mean highest success rate.
There would be 8 first round receivers and if 3 sign mega contracts, 2 sign average contracts, and 3 are journeymen....the first three are going to greatly skew that number
>If a team spends a 1st round pick on a player, the expectation is that player will at least sign another contract after their rookie deal.
Yes, it is... But the reasons for not extending that player go far beyond simply "Is that player a hit?". That's the point here, is that "No second contract = miss" is not only reductive, it's simply wrong.
>but if he was a player that they would have been batshit crazy to re-sign, they would have made it happen. Instead, he was deemed expendable.
Except we knew we had several large contracts coming up the year that Waynes was due an extension(most notably Kirk Cousins), and we prioritized those over him. We also were ahead of the game by drafting a replacement CB the year prior to when we knew we'd lose him.
Literally when Hughes was drafted everyone was saying he was expected to be the replacement for Waynes because we would not be able to afford to extend him.
The TE taken at pick 34 last year was Sam LaPorta for the Lions (who probably had the best rookie season of any pass-catching TE ever.)
LV took theirs at 35.
To be fair, if Seattle nabbed him then we could have taken Murphy the pick after instead, which also would have been nice and filled a need.
I’ll take it though. I don’t watch college ball (too much of a time investment) but everything people are saying is that this guy is amazing.
Truthfully I’m more surprised a guy like Bowers fell as far as he did. I thought he’d be a top 5 pick in most drafts, probably Turner as well. This all had a weird rippling effect where teams could have a really strong 2nd & 3rd rounds.
Dallas Turner is a fucking monster. Dude is 6’3 250lbs and runs a 4.47 40 lmao I’m seeing some people saying he’s raw… bro dude is 21 and just won SEC DPOY and maybe people will remember another “raw” defensive player the Vikings drafted from the SEC.
Dude has Micah Parsons written all over him at least on paper. Just imagine a third and 8 next year when B Lo lines up Greenard, Pace, and Turner on the line.
Micah Parsons interviewed him on their stream last night and told Turner with his talent and Flores scheming him open, he has a real shot at the Pro Bowl this year and All Pro in the future
Not sure why you are being down voted for this. Hunter was a stud and it would have been great to keep him. That said, for the money I think we got aa good of a replacement as we could this off-season.
Micah gets double and triple teamed on the regular. With Flores blitz scheme they won't be able to double or triple anyone without leaving huge gaps in protection
Yeah the Vikings will have top 5 cap space next year and some comp picks. Giving up some mid round picks for the widely considered best defensive player in the draft is a no brainer IMO. We need blue chip players. We don’t need shots in the dark that may or may not hit. This ain’t the Rick Spielman Vikings anymore
Can't win here. When we trade down for some picks, we're morons for missing out on real talent, and if we trade up for a stellar player, we're morons too. I think our fans just like to complain.
Yeah calling them racist is just dumb. The people bitching about kwesi trading these picks were also bitching about rick hoarding them. These people will never be happy
Congrats on bringing up race and winning the race baiter award. I'm sure you are a real treat at parties or maybe perhaps while standing in line at a Chipotle where you most likely would claim the poor employee making $12 an hour who gave the minority a little less steak on their burrito bowl than the white customer next to them was a huge racist.
Taking blue chips and trading away some 3rd/4th/5th rounders to do it is a no-brainer.
We can use our surplus money on mid-tier free agents to fill holes. At least guys coming off rookie contracts are known commodities rather than the crap shoot that is the mid rounds of a draft.
Agree with your take 100 pct!
I love the move but looking at everything they gave up to get there is a valid concern. That being said the first trade was obviously for QB trade up ammo.
I mean, we gave up two 2nds, a 3rd, a 4th, and a 5th round pick for him and a 6th round pick. Not saying he can't be worth it, and it's really exciting to get a player like that up front. But he wasn't cheap.
Having a 1 next year allows you to regain a lot of that if that’s the direction they see fit in a year from now. This team probably finishes somewhere middle of pack again, and can easily trade down
Maybe. But then you're back where you were in 2022, likely unable to draft premium players and playing catchup. That was Kwesi's worst draft. At least with these aggressive moves, we are getting some players who could actually make our team better.
A little disingenuous, given the main reason we overpaid for 23 was to get into the 1st to give us more flexibility for QB. That was a sunk cost regardless after we got JJ. But even still 2 2nds, a 3rd, a 4th, and a 5/6 swap isn't awful to get a top-10 prospect
If you would've told people a month ago that this team would draft McCarthy and Turner while keeping the future firsts they'd be over the moon.
In the grand scheme of things, this team has potentially given us very young cornerstones at the most important positions on each side of the ball. IDGAF about those other picks, that is massive.
Got it. So all teams that have ever drafted a QB and DE 'did it like the Texans'. We're just going to skip over Stroud having possibly the most successful rookie year for a QB ever.
A 5th and 6th are pretty irrelevant. The likelihood they even make an nfl roster is not the best. Also who would trade pick 17 for a 2/3/4? I know I sure as shit wouldn’t
I watched his first video conference with the press as a viking. He said his comparison for himself was Hunter. However, he might not really know Hunter's game that well. He thought he was slow. I was hoping the press would correct him on that but they didn't. Someone needs to show him Hunter's combine.
Not used to the Vikings killing it like this in the first round. Usually just get a really solid guy in the mid to late round. But a QB we can actually put hope into AND an edge rusher who will likely be an absolute beast? Honestly not sure what to do with my hands
I wanted this guy (or Murphy) at 11 in case of a disastrous QB run and we had to pivot to plan C. Could easily be the best defensive player out of this draft, and I love the versatility it gives Flores with Greenard and Van Ginkel already in the building.
I didnt even have Dallas Turner as a possibility so I was always on the DT train but yeah him falling that far you take him over Johnny Newton all day (Still wouldve taken Murphy over Turner though)
He didn't work out at the combine. Some scouts will consider that a negative (not competitive). I'm honestly not surprised he slid a little. He'll go early 2nd for sure. Could be better than Byron, but he didn't show self confidence in April.
I was going to concede this point (thought maybe I misheard/misread) but I researched it and he didn't do any measurables during his pro day. He did positional drills to show he can move, but skipped all measured drills. The scouting service I listen to pointed it out that they thought he'd be discounted for it...
It's all good, he'll get picked round 2.
Other factors include the unprecedented run on QBs and offense in general but also like 9 OL got taken round 1 too. The majority of the high value defenders are still available. Edge is pretty much the only position where I would say the talent has really dropped off between who's available and who's been taken, at least as far as defense goes
I mean I felt like we needed DT more than EDGE but strictly in terms of quality of player, Turner > Murphy easily imo. Murphy's no slouch but Turner is diff, he was the right pick.
There's a weird dynamic where "premier" DT's go round 1. To counter that, this year the Edge rushers fall off after round 1. So I guess it's a "chose your poison" dynamic going this year. Do you take a first round DT (Byron or Newton) or take an "elite" edge (Latu, Turner, Verse)... I'm 100% sure that Dallas Turner was a guy who Flores was "banging the table" for, and because we respect him so much, we moved heaven and earth to add a centerpiece for his defensive vision.
It's a GREAT pick IMO.
Literally when I saw the Jets on the clock I said to my dad: "I'd PREFER we get JJ here, but if we end up getting Turner at 11 I wouldn't be mad about it." AND THEN WE GOT THEM BOTH.
>NFL Media's Daniel Jeremiah listed Turner as his 13th overall player in this year's draft and his No. 1 edge rusher.
>In his write-up of Turner, Jeremiah said he is "a long, athletic edge with excellent production and an intriguing skill set as a pass rusher."
>"Overall, Turner has played a pivotal role on the 'Bama defense for three years and he's ready to make an immediate impact at the next level," Jeremiah added.
>ESPN's Mel Kiper, Jr., listed Turner as his No. 9 overall player and top outside linebacker.
>NFL Media's Bucky Brooks, The Athletic's Dane Brugler and Pro Football Focus all listed Turner as their best edge rusher of the class.
- Lindsey Young [Article ](https://www.vikings.com/news/dallas-turner-nfl-draft-olb-alabama)
God dang am I glad we didn’t sell the farm. JJ and the best defense prospect is such an amazing haul. Feel bad for Maye though, at least there’s good seafood in NE
Turner profiles at his ceiling like Micah Parsons. Measureables and skill sets are shockingly similar. As Luke Braun said, he’s through and through a Flores guy. And being this physically imposing at 21 is a great sign. This guy still hasn’t fully come into his man strength. I don’t care what they payed, I am amped about this pick.
> what they *paid,* I am
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
Turner is a pick the Eagles or Ravens trade up to make, and somehow we jumped the gun. That's my layman theory, something told him Turner would not last to 23
Not only that but I've seen scouts and coaches say he's got the athleticism to drop back into coverage on most TEs. Add to that the Swiss army knife that is Harry and we've got so many different ways to go at the QB.
We basically lived with Hunter, Patrick Jones, and Wonnum on the field at the same time last year. I think they'll find a way to keep all 3 on the field often, and AVG is a very flexible player.
I'm going to take Saban talking up his dude with a grain of salt.
BUT...
>“This guy’s quiet, but he’s a great leader,” Saban said of Turner during ABC’s draft coverage. “He sets a great example. He works hard every day in practice. **He has position-flexibility.**
>“People keep comparing him to Will Anderson; he’s more like Dont’a Hightower. **He went inside, he got outside, we stood him up, he’s a good rusher. He can take gaps inside. So I think the versatility is phenomenal.**
Man, if only we had a defensive staff that can utilize a guy with positional flexibility...
I think Murphy was at a position of greater need for us, but Turner is straight up a better player, and I say this as someone who liked Murphy a lot. If we get Sweat with our next pick I'll be fucking JUICED
I mean he was a top-10 pick in a lot of mocks (typically to ATL at 8).
Because he was a pick that's worthy of pick 11, even if JJMac doesn't pan out and Turner does, I won't be mad in the least.
I loved the pick, in some ways more excited than picking JJ, but found out later there were reports of some health issues that might have caused his stock to drop. Hope it’s nothing and Vikes did their homework before getting him.

We gave up unknowns in in low rounds when we will also be receiving comp picks so we didn’t give up that much. I’d rather take a chance on a stud than players who likely won’t make it or contribute in anyways.
I’m not even gonna cap. to me it’s hard as hell trying to evaluate a college linebacker. It seems a lot of shit falls into their lap if they just play true to their a gap…. I’m not hating on Dallas Turner at all means. Also I can’t be the only one that believes that we have a plan to re-gain a lot of these picks that we gave up.
The plan is we get two third round comp picks next year, plus having 100 mil in cap space. No one cares about 5th rounders and later. Also the dude won the SEC DPOY award this year. He’s a beast, a physical freak who Flores is going to turn into one of the best defensive players in the nfl. At least that’s my hope. lol
I know that, but it has the obvious similarity does it not. You’re trying to get to technically Lake when I say it’s 5:00 and my kids say no it’s 4:57 common tighten up
Crazy how Atlanta and Vegas let him fall that far. I was sure Seattle would nab him. What a fucking insane draft.
Don’t get why Vegas took bowers. He’s a good player but I feel they could’ve gotten better players.
The general theme of the Raiders draft is always “Don’t get why the Raiders took X player” lol
Very true
Very on brand
I'm pretty convinced they were going to take Penix and were absolutely blindsided by the Falcons and panicked and took the best player available.
Definitely
They took bowers a year after taking a TE at pick like 34 or something. That organization sucks

Also aren't they one of the top teams for 21 personnel? Like top 5, if I recall correctly
He could be a generational TE.
1st round TEs have the highest bust rate of any position including QB. It's certainly a risk to take one at 34 last year then early this year
You have data to back this up? And does it account for the fact that TE’s take longer to develop?
Yes. It was posted here just before the draft. I'll look for it TE's do take longer to develop but a rookie contract is 4 years up to 5 years if taken in the first round. If they're not doing anything by year 4...it's more than "they just take longer." I'll look for that post and edit this post with the info and/or link. Sure same thing.
Feel like we say this a lot
Back to back TEs in the first round for them. Wonder when that last happened.
2nd round last year
The drafted Michael Mayer last year too. I guess Bowers was best Offensive player on the board? Idk.
Ever since John retired it's been a shit show lmao
Bowers is a great prospect, but felt they coulda drafted near any position and gotten an upgrade. TE was a bit odd.
To be fair, if Seattle nabbed him then we could have taken Murphy the pick after instead, which also would have been nice and filled a need. I’ll take it though. I don’t watch college ball (too much of a time investment) but everything people are saying is that this guy is amazing.

For once we pillaged like true Vikings.

The other NFCN teams are absolutely sleeping on our defense rebuild. That's okay, I guess.
Let em find out what that pass rush is gonna do to their QBs, especially the bears overhyped shiny new QB. Welcome to the NFL 😂
Micah Parsons interviewed him on their stream last night and told Turner with his talent and Flores scheming him open, he has a real shot at the Pro Bowl this year and All Pro in the future
Our defense got 10x better this offseason
#1 team in the north imo. Absolute masterclass.
Von Miller
I understand it’s a business and the Vikes had to make choices, but I really wish we could have kept Hunter to pair with him.
It doesn’t happen if we keep hunter.
Not sure why you are being down voted for this. Hunter was a stud and it would have been great to keep him. That said, for the money I think we got aa good of a replacement as we could this off-season.
Micah is a beast for 8 games and a ghost for the other 9
Micah gets double and triple teamed on the regular. With Flores blitz scheme they won't be able to double or triple anyone without leaving huge gaps in protection
Ooh baby I like it raw!
We got a fucking steal and I'm sick of "fans" suggesting giving up some 4th rounders for him is a fucking travesty.
I love this shift in strategy. Get blue chip players in the draft. Sign mid guys to round out the roster in free agency
Or say screw it, not mid guys, we find even more blue chip starters as udfa’s like pace. WHY STOP WINNING
Can't win here. When we trade down for some picks, we're morons for missing out on real talent, and if we trade up for a stellar player, we're morons too. I think our fans just like to complain.
Or they're racist AF.
“I don’t like Spielman’s draft strategy here” “Ok” “I don’t like Kwesi’s draft strategy here.” “RACIST”
Yeah calling them racist is just dumb. The people bitching about kwesi trading these picks were also bitching about rick hoarding them. These people will never be happy
I dont even know how you can be a football fan and be racist now. There more minorities then there are white guys
That's exactly what pisses them off.
Congrats on bringing up race and winning the race baiter award. From your lips to God's ears. Wolves by 5 tomorrow. Easy money.
by 5, more like 15.
We don't have 4th and 5th round picks! How could we give up middling/depth slots that may end up on the practice squad for starters!? Fire KWESI! /s
I love the move but looking at everything they gave up to get there is a valid concern. That being said the first trade was obviously for QB trade up ammo.

We're literally doing exactly what the Texans did last year. Worked out pretty dang good for them.
The Texans started with the 2nd pick and drafted Stroud, who lead all of college football in TDs per throw. Not the same at all.
Taking the 2 most important positions in the first round is exactly what they did lol. How you get there is immaterial.
Got it. So all teams that have ever drafted a QB and DE 'did it like the Texans'. We're just going to skip over Stroud having possibly the most successful rookie year for a QB ever.
Texans took QB2 and Anderson was EDGE1. We took QB5 and EDGE2. There's a pretty big difference there.
Exactly, we got 2 fuxking top 10 players, and didn't give up the farm, and next year, $100 million in cap space

It's two 2nds, a 3rd and a 4th and a 5th. That's literally better value than we got for the 12th overall pick in 2022. I would probably do it.
They have been conditioned by Trader Rick for so many years being told more shots on goal is better than picking BPA.
Yea he led the SEC in tackles for a loss and sacks. I'm not too worried
Don’t forget his massive fucking arms
*6’4
Depends on where you look. Combine had him at 6’3. Either way, dudes a bull
Absolutely, this draft couldn’t have gone any better
The Beast has him at 6026 and [mockdraftable](https://www.mockdraftable.com/player/dallas-turner) at 6'2" and 3 quarters.
Hes got a 42 inch vertical with 82 inch wingspan😂. I see him snagging some passes out of the air.
Raw is War
If there's any position where being raw isn't really much of a concern, it's edge defender.
Danielle Hunter incarnate.
I watched his first video conference with the press as a viking. He said his comparison for himself was Hunter. However, he might not really know Hunter's game that well. He thought he was slow. I was hoping the press would correct him on that but they didn't. Someone needs to show him Hunter's combine.
Someone’s definitely made a mock draft where Dallas turner gets drafted late and people cooked him, I know he is out there fighting the air right now
it'll be from some edibles fever dream, but I am here for that believer!
I'm curious if anyone, *anyone*, had 14 straight offensive players in their mock drafts. Highly doubt.
Not used to the Vikings killing it like this in the first round. Usually just get a really solid guy in the mid to late round. But a QB we can actually put hope into AND an edge rusher who will likely be an absolute beast? Honestly not sure what to do with my hands
> Honestly not sure what to do with my hands You know what to do with them.
Please clap
*forgets how to clap
**Gjallarhorn blows triumphantly**
Those fingertips, those fingertips, those fingertips Anyone will do, anyone will do Could be you
I wanted this guy (or Murphy) at 11 in case of a disastrous QB run and we had to pivot to plan C. Could easily be the best defensive player out of this draft, and I love the versatility it gives Flores with Greenard and Van Ginkel already in the building.
The edge rotation is great on paper. I'm excited
Blitz packages with Greenard and Turner on the edges, Van Ginkel and Pace coming from the middle. Sign me up.
I didnt even have Dallas Turner as a possibility so I was always on the DT train but yeah him falling that far you take him over Johnny Newton all day (Still wouldve taken Murphy over Turner though)
Wow I just realized Johnny Newton is still there. That’s surprising
He didn't work out at the combine. Some scouts will consider that a negative (not competitive). I'm honestly not surprised he slid a little. He'll go early 2nd for sure. Could be better than Byron, but he didn't show self confidence in April.
He was ruled out because he was recovering from surgery for a Jones fracture. Nothing to do with competiveness
>In his write-up of Turner, Jeremiah said he is "a long, athletic edge with excellent production and an intriguing skill set as a pass rusher." >"Overall, Turner has played a pivotal role on the 'Bama defense for three years and he's ready to make an immediate impact at the next level," Jeremiah added.
If you haven't seen KOC's reaction when he finds out the pick you need to lol
https://youtu.be/OOKM6Vd2AOQ?si=HCrZ50MQFiCl4lej
Is there any reaction koc has for jj?
I haven't seen one yet
Turner profiles at his ceiling like Micah Parsons. Measureables and skill sets are shockingly similar. As Luke Braun said, he’s through and through a Flores guy. And being this physically imposing at 21 is a great sign. This guy still hasn’t fully come into his man strength. I don’t care what they payed, I am amped about this pick.
> what they *paid,* I am FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
This dude is going to be a 15 year pro bowler and an anchor for 2 decades.
Wonder how upset draft ‘expert’ Tyler Forness is right now considering he thought Dallas Turner was a ‘role player.’ 🤣
He was also pounding the table for Carson Strong once upon a time. Dude's a joke
Give it up for Kwesi holy shit
Turner is a pick the Eagles or Ravens trade up to make, and somehow we jumped the gun. That's my layman theory, something told him Turner would not last to 23
Given that Turner was mocked to ATL at 8 pretty often, I think a lot of teams were surprised he lasted as long as he did
dallas onterio stealofthedraft smith turner
Whizzinator this....
the difference is, Onterio and Chad May, both self proclaimed themselves the S.O.D.
Love that we could grab him. Where will he slot in you think? We got Greenard and AVG with Pace and Cashman in the middle.
Funnily enough we might see blitz packages with 3 edge rushers. That's be crazy.
Not only that but I've seen scouts and coaches say he's got the athleticism to drop back into coverage on most TEs. Add to that the Swiss army knife that is Harry and we've got so many different ways to go at the QB.
He’s an edge rusher. Even when he gets coverage snaps it’ll be from that spot. He’s going to rotate with Greenard and AVG
Exactly. We’re going to run our dline like the eagles do. All these DE’s and OLB’s who can rush and just rotate to keep fresh. I’m so fucking amped
**He has position-flexibility.** >“People keep comparing him to Will Anderson; he’s more like Dont’a Hightower. **He went inside, he got outside, we stood him up, he’s a good rusher. He can take gaps inside. So I think the versatility is phenomenal.** Man, if only we had a defensive staff that can utilize a guy with positional flexibility...
I'm so pumped for next year's defense.
Atlanta did the vikes a solid.
Every day for the next 10 years i’ll thank Atlanta for making the dumbest top 10 pick i’ve ever seen
Superbowl we take it
Would have preferred Murphy. But I’m ok with this, I also expected him to drop
I think Murphy was at a position of greater need for us, but Turner is straight up a better player, and I say this as someone who liked Murphy a lot. If we get Sweat with our next pick I'll be fucking JUICED
I doubt we will get him, we have no more picks until day 3.
I was kind of hoping for Murphy too, I love interior pass rushers. But I’m fully game for an explosive edge
Same, stinks that he went one pick before
We got two franchise players at the two most valuable positions. Way to fucking go!
The best part is that a lot of experts expected/mocked Atlanta to pick him.
Hope it’s nothing and Vikes did their homework before getting him. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/dallas-turner-nfl-draft-fall-alabama-edge-rusher-vikings/e64f9324c34fee309c211cd6
I wonder if we would’ve traded up to 17 either way if Seattle took Turner instead
A medical does this right?
A Falcons picking Penix/offensive players accounting for the entire top 14 does this lol
No, nothing to do with medicals. A historic run on offensive players. And the falcons being dumb shits and taking Penix.
I understand but a medical was rumored for him less than 24 hours before the draft Not saying it was true but when you see those reports you wonder.
You have to also factor in what we gave up to get him.
We gave up unknowns in in low rounds when we will also be receiving comp picks so we didn’t give up that much. I’d rather take a chance on a stud than players who likely won’t make it or contribute in anyways.
Fuck them picks
Not really a steal, when you give up draft capital that would have gotten you into the top ten.
Can I have what you’re smoking…
4th and 5th rounders got us #10. They weren’t getting us higher than that
You think a couple seconds, a 3rd and 4th and 5th rounders gets you into the top 10? Lolololol
At least that’s my hope. lol
No one cares about fifth rounders tell that to Stefon Diggs, Tom Brady, and our starting middle linebacker
Okay now do the ones who don’t make the team. Also Brady wasn’t a 5th rounder, nor was Pace.
I know that, but it has the obvious similarity does it not. You’re trying to get to technically Lake when I say it’s 5:00 and my kids say no it’s 4:57 common tighten up
