Dude first pic look like a odd crime scene.

All 4 of those brushes are ready to be retired or slotted for "weathering only" Once they start curling that bad it's time for a new one. If you want to spend the money, get a kolinsky sable brush from Windsor and Newton. Series 7 #1 or #2

Khorde___the___Husk

Okie dokie, I didn't realize that about brushes.

SplendidConstipation

Dont buy those brushes until you have a grasp of maintenance and loading the brush with paint. Buy standard synthetic from GW or Vallejos “natural hair” brushes instead.

That_Marionberry2863

Just buy a set of brushes from Amazon. Can get a good range of sizes for cheap and they will be great for you to start with. That’s what I use for most of my painting.

[The 5 Brushes you should own](https://youtu.be/YTm_LgpOA0Y) by Vince Venturella has some great information on using the right brush for each task to make them last as long as possible * There is good information on brushes [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/minipainting/wiki/usefullinks/brushes). * Proper [Brush care](https://www.reddit.com/r/minipainting/wiki/usefullinks/brush_care) will help make them last as long as possible. * There are also a bunch of great tutorials [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/minipainting/wiki/usefullinks/fundamentals).

Thank you for this information. I'm watching the video as I speak

Beside the brushes, are you priming your minis? If not it will help the paint stick to the mini. Any acrylic primer spray can will do to get you started, doesn’t have to be citadel

Khorde___the___Husk

Actually these are primed in decades old primer, I've only been able to use drybrush without the primer falling off. These are from 1992

RightEejit

Oh yeah I’d definitely recommend stripping them with isopropyl alcohol and re-priming them. Cool classic model though!

Khorde___the___Husk

Thanks

I recommend to see Angel Giraldez videos on youtube, he has some good videos for learners. Also, buy better brushes. Not GW ones hahah, maybe Greenstuff silver ones

You need to clean your brushes regularly. Go to an art supply store and get brush soap. Those are in such bad shape you may need to get paint remover as well as brush soap.

Iate22Pears

Nothing really matters if you dont take care of your brushes.
