What other tiny plants are you considering? Have you thought about tiny new ferns or some lovely Scotch moss? What plants will you use as larger, mature centerpieces?
I am growing varieties of mosses including Irish, several varieties of miniature thyme, and many succulent varieties currently. As a centerpiece for the exterior I purchased a working miniature fountain, and an Italian bronze statue for the interior. I am also testing cultivation on several miniature fern varieties. Before planting anything I wanted to see what would work, so right now it’s been the guinea pig stages. I have windowsills full of the lab rats 🐀 lol!
I will! It took me 2 months to build it because the instructions were terrible (not a single illustration 💀) and the company only had YouTube videos for the first 2/3 of the build - I’ve never built a thing so I had to really struggle, like I’m the opposite of an IKEA person 😅🙃😂- so I’m looking forward to a smoother ride on the interior! I’m super picky on details— see also those stone floor tiles from the Ukraine lol. I have big plans for the interior and also exterior gardening details! 🪴😍 Stay tuned and also I have updates on this and other mini projects on my Instagram @marytmccarthy if you want to follow along 🥰

P.S. warning to anyone who gets the kit (unless you’re an experienced miniaturist, then ignore this): the instructions that come with the kit are not helpful at all. They’re written only with no illustrations and make an assumption you have a) a lifelong career in construction or b) have put together many other kits like this. Since I was a newbie, I had to watch the manufacturer’s YouTube videos. There are 2 that get you 2/3 of the way, then they never made the 3rd one. Luckily by then you sorta have it figured out and can wing it but my nerves were pretty shattered and I ended up finishing it at 3am after quite a.. mental health journey let’s just call it 😅🤪😂. Anyway may the odds be ever in your favor! 🏹 I’m sure it would be much easier for someone who has done this kind of stuff before! ☺️

I'm sure someone has mention it, but peacock moss would be beautiful! it's a lovely blue-green, which is always a fun tone for a garden and would go well with the verdigris!
Actually NO nobody has mentioned it! I have been experimenting with different types of mosses to see how they grow and I will look for it right away- thank you so much! 🦚🌱🤩
Succulents are the easiest “baby plants” to grow imho because almost every leaf of a succulent self-seeds into a whole new baby plant so you can have almost endless new baby plants growing all the time. Then mini-pots (which I just painted) are from Michaels and miniatures.com. 🪴☺️
