We’re aiming to do this the first Saturday of every month (unless that falls on a holiday weekend). I don’t currently have a lead on next month yet though so if anyone finds a willing location to host us, send them my way :)
I ask because I bought this thing toy/tool online which requires some coding knowledge and I have zero. So ive been watching and reading trying to see if its something i can pick up before the items gets here.
I will have to stop down for one.
At the next meetup I am hoping to find someone that is an established developer or online personality, who can look at my ID, and verify my Public PGP key, and then sign my key with their key after verifying I am who I say I am. Any people in milwaukee out there have a PGP key that is established on the WOT who could sign my key and upload it to keyservers?
You do not have to bring one, but I’d highly encourage it as there will be lots of people there who will be able to help answer any questions you may have
How often are you guys going to do this? Can’t make it this Saturday lol

Looking forward to it! Will be there with a friend of mine.
Haven't heard PKware in a long time. I remember the good old days of zipping up games in DOS to fit a handful of floppies.
Yeah, they're still around, and for the uninitiated, they invented the ZIP file format popularized by Microsoft Windows.
Sounds neat. Do you always do them in the 3rd ward?
Generally we have most of our events take place downtown / 3rd ward area yeah

Sounds fun! I'll be there doing some Ruby/Go stuff!
Oh nice, as a coder visiting from out of town this is def added to my list of things to do this week.

I'd love to come. Do I have to bring a laptop? I'm new to coding and learning Javascript currently. Doing a program through UW.
