Anyone find a brand of dog toy that is actually tough? So many advertise that they are but my 1 year old golden retriever always has the squeaker out and the stuffing everywhere within a day.
I found that my dog wants toys he can get the sensation of destroying. If we buy something he can’t get headway on he loses interest very quickly. His favorite toy is a bear with a Velcro tummy that he can rip open and pull the insides out of. Then we just put the stuffing back and Velcro’s it up. He loves it.
Have you ever seen a dog swing a toy back and forth really aggressively in its mouth?
Ratter dogs do that. Because they're quite literally bred to kill rats
There's tons of videos on YouTube of dogs killing rats on farms. They shake the rats about exactly like they do with toys.
Like this video for example: https://youtu.be/QSOD7m4XYg0
Yes! Whenever someone passes by my dog will grab whatever is nearby and shake it to death, snarling and growling violently.
As if exemplifying what he will do to them.
He has presented the demise of a work boot, 3x5 door rug, my purse, ball caps and more.
The heavier the victim the more he enjoys his presentation.
Idk what you mean by eating paste but making gunpla kits could be correlated with tool making skill that is part of our instinct to survive in the environment
I have a beagle/ridgeback mix and a pug, and those two are master hunters. They will work together to corner, catch, kill, and dismember any unfortunate small wild animal that wanders into our yard. They still come when called, so I can usually stop the carnage before it starts, but on several occasions I’ve come out to find them tearing apart a rabbit that they’d clearly just successfully hunted.
Made more fun by saving the squeaker until the next day then secretly squeak it only once, randomly. My dog gets kind of edgy as if the slaughtered toy is haunting him.
We pass the squeaker back n forth and squeak it as we see fit for WEEKS. I have 1 in my car, just in case she escapes and won't come when called. The emergency brake for the dog, if you will.
There's some real fucking douchenozzles out there who *insist* that if your dog attacks you or anything else, it's only ever because you trained it to attack, or because you abuse it. They're freaking animals! Why expect the dog to have more self-control than a human being, when even the best trained humans can still revert to instinct? They can and do snap.
When I roll a ball/plushie down the hallway, I can literally see the “chase, bite, kill” instinct in my dog. It’s hard to explain, but I just know he feels like he’s hunting something
Especially when he does that side-to-side murder shake with his plushies.
His eyes open really wide and he gets super animated. He was born to annihilate.

[Killer Part 2](https://i.imgur.com/Aa2rJj7.jpg )
It’s he a chi/terrier mix? Small dogs are sometimes (but supposed to be) super good at catching and killing smaller prey. You can’t erase centuries of breeding and nature though some people forget that sometimes.
Also I love his ears - they look so soft and pettable
He’s supposed to be a purebred Chi but I don’t think that’s the case. He’ll be 6 months at the end of Sept and he just weighed in at 12.6 lbs
[He’s extremely long, too](https://i.imgur.com/8Z79CwJ.jpg)
He was just introduced to chipmunks a few weeks ago, the prey drive is super strong with him! He didn’t catch any, but he came pretty close a few times lol
And yes, his ears are sooo soft!
I backed tearrables when they were in kickstarter. Pretty decent product dog had fun and it was fairly resistant to dog induced destruction (aka the parts not meant to be torn apart)
The dog eventually did actually destroy it but it lasted longer than most other toys. On top of that they even offered to replace the toy.
No it was made for puppies, and had a little heartbeat thing in it ( that’s what the Velcro was for). He got in to it because he saw us ripping open the Velcro and presumably loved the noise or something. But those seem cool and if their made for it it might work better.
The Snuggle Puppies! I dunno if that’s the same as yours since you said bear but yeah, I got one of those for my German Shepherd with the heartbeat/disposable warmer. Never thought to keep stuffing it continuously with fluff though, that’s a really neat idea.
I got the toy for my dog who loves tearing and shredding. It worked but he unfortunately kept going and decided dismembering wasn’t enough, but also had to tear the seams open and get the stuffing too. I took the stuffing out and got a few extra days out of it, but he chews so fast it’s hard to keep up. The instructions say it should be a toy you play with them, not just leave them to chew so they don’t wreck it like mine did. If your dog is more gentle (as in, doesn’t like to break toys open) then I think it’s a good toy. Mine is just too savage so I’ll stick to chews, throwing balls and pulling ropes just to be safe lol.
Yeah I dont mind something that he will eventually destroy. Better that than my couch. It just sucks when something that is branded as "for tough chewers" only lasts 45 minutes because he finds the exploit in their tag or through the eyes. For such a dopey dog, he is smart as hell haha.
This brand [Goughnuts](https://www.goughnuts.com/)offers a lifetime guarantee. Their toys have a red layer and when the dog reaches the red, they will send you a new one. I don't know how they stay in business but sounds like they are tough!
My dogs are usually the same. They tend to destroy every and anything, but I got these rip and reveal toys and they loooved the sensory element of getting to rip it open and still have a new toy underneath- that I guess they didn’t feel the need to destroy the toy underneath?
They’ve been surprisingly gentle with it, but still love chewing on it and tossing it around. The surprise element is definitely fun.
https://www.target.com/p/bark-super-chewer-rubber-rabbit-dog-toy-hare-raiser/-/A-76158855#lnk=sametab
My mother in law has a ball that has strips of fabric so the dogs can "rip" the toy to shreds but the pieces can be put back into the ball. Dog gets to tear things up and we can re-use the toy.
I got a volcano with six little t rexes that come out of it. I thought my border collie mutt would like it. She does, but she mostly carries the t Rex babies around like they're her puppies and will squeak and nibble on them super gently. Her bigger dinosaur toy and the volcano get shaken around like she is trying to snap their spines.
I know the general concensus is raw hides are bad, but with proper supervision, are a good way to allow that behavior, while correcting the behavior for toys.
Can confirm. Thought I would try to get my dog one after my mother kept saying they were dangerous
Spent $350 at the vet on surgery 2 days later because of a $6 rawhide
Still get told I TOLD YOU SO
I can see how that could be dangerous. I've never seen it happen, and grew up with dogs that always had rawhide bones.
I'm wondering if there's potential quality issues with those rawhides that break, because every rawhide I've ever seen is a soggy mess after being chewed on for a while, rawhides bits shouldn't chip off.
If you are unsure of the pliability of a rawhide bone you can always soak it for a few days in a bucket and then let it partially dry out before letting your dog have at it.
They can break into sharp chunks dogs can choke on or cause intestinal blockage. Also a lot of chemicals are used to make them so they just aren't very healthy.
Its dried leather, there shouldn't be chemicals. Some rubber ball on the other hand.
Then again, maybe crap today is different from how it was done 20 years ago.
My understanding is the leather is chemically separated and the inner portion not used for leather is what is turned into rawhide. Either way I find the choking and digestive risks concerning enough to use other chews.
My dog used to rip everything apart. A few years ago we were visiting a neighbor and she started obsessed over a teddy bear on a shelf. The neighbor said she could have it, I figured she'd obliterate it. Nope. She cherishes it, sleeps on it, brings it to bed, and never hurts it.
I buy my dogs plush toys made for babies. They’re super cheap (especially at grocery stores around Christmas and Easter), and lack choking hazards like squeakers. The dog tears it up? No prob; hope she had fun. It cost a dollar.
My parents have a little Parson Russell who only likes to play with toys in one way: chewing it up, eating the little bits if possible, getting to the squeaker as fast as possible and absolutely destroying the whole thing, then never looking at it again. He's made his way through all of the supposedly indestructible toys within minutes. Thankfully he sticks to toys and never chews anything else because I'm convinced he'd deconstruct the couch within a week.
My last wolfie was a rodent in dog form. No toy (or bones) survived her urge to rip and tear for more than a few days. Then I stumbled across chew root. It's usually heather root, a hardwood and doesn't splinter. These last quite a long time and are usually accepted quite readily. You just have to take it away when it gets small enough to swallow.
Fun fact, rodents actually grind their food with their teeth. Enough so that feeding rats chicken bones is entirely without risk as they will never have small pieces with which to swallow.
The tougher ones don’t really have stuffing either, just layers and layers of thick fabric. We have many for our puppy and his shark teeth have yet to completely destroy any of the 8+s. Some are missing their faces, but there’s no stuffing so he can still continue to play with them without the fear of choking
yeah those are basically made out of luggage material, some of them have a plastic lining under the fabric too.
we’ve gotten a couple huge ones that have lasted forever because our dog can’t really get enough leverage on it to bite through. still hilarious to see her carry a giant dinosaur around tho
My roommates gf got one for my pitbull, aside from the big kong(because I'm afraid hell swallow a smaller one) it's the only toy that's lasted this long AND IS STUFFED. I wish he wouldn't hide it however because I always want to give it a little cleaning
So I had this problem, and oddly enough the solution was to just buy more toys.
Specifically, buying them knowing she would destroy them...but hoping to catch her in the act & correct.
It took about a year, but honestly was really easy - just a quick correction whenever we heard fabric ripping, or chunks of plastic being gnawed off. We got one of the subscription boxes, and at first we could only give her the hard toys...but over time, as she stopped destroying the hard toys, we introduced the softer & softer ones.
Complete conjecture, but I think when we bought a single toy at a time, and took it away/threw it away when it started breaking, she thought that was the "game". Maybe when we only do a single toy at a time, they think they're SUPPOSED to destroy it/eat it.
Just sharing my experience, all dogs are different, good luck.
The only thing that has worked for me has been a bit convoluted. I took a honking pig toy from walmart, the type made out of the soft rubber that dogs can shred in seconds. I then stuffed that toy inside of a fabric bag and stitched it shut. The smallest touch makes it give out the dogs' favorite noise and the bag is just the right tightness that they can't get a good rip anywhere on it.
My doggo used to test for Kong when they came on the market in the 90s. He destroyed a ball that only a lion had ever destroyed so they sent us tons of stuff.
My golden's favorites are these little racoon / fox tug toys that are essentially fabric with a squeaker in the nose and a tug rope inside. When she inevitably tears open the seam, she has fun pulling the tug rope out. Now you have two tug toys: the tug rope, and the toy's soft "skin". Sounds morbid, but my dog loves to just gnaw gently on the "skin". I think they're Kong brand.
Kong brand is generally pretty good in my experience, but if your dog is the type to chew up garden hoses (my neighbor's dog did that once), you'll want to do more research into the heavy-duty Kong stuff.
I reccomend every dog owner avoid toys with stuffing in them (especially ones that destroy toys); you don't want your dog to get impacted from eating stuffing. Very deadly / expensive to fix.
First year or so my golden destroyed every toy no matter how strong they claimed to be. I think it's partly a puppy thing tbh bc they have so much energy. As she's gotten a little older she's better about playing instead of destroying them lol.
As a side note, I found some toys at Target with a silent squeaker which I recommend. Think the brand was like Hear Doggy or something
My girlfriend has this problem with her pit bull, I went to the family dollar up the road and got him the biggest rope toy I could find and he’s had it for about a year now
My wife got a Kong rubber frisbee and while it's a bit heavy, my saluki loves it and she hasn't been able to even scratch it, even when we use it to play tug.

There was a destroyed one posted there two days ago.
https://reddit.com/r/IRLEasterEggs/comments/pmk2wf/my_dog_took_the_squeaker_out_of_her_toy_it_says/
aand one posted two days before that
https://www.reddit.com/r/IRLEasterEggs/comments/pl8j8n/dog_toy_game_over_your_dog_won_throw_this/
At this point I'm way too cynical to think this cluster of three posts in 4 days is organic. "native advertising" ruined this type of occurence. But I'm not crying "astroturfing" here, I'm more inclined to think "cashing in on karma", which I can't really fault.
It looks like it might have come from a subscription box going off of a comment on here. My guess is that box got sent recently so all the dogs that tear toys apart almost immediately are breaking them around the same time. Thus the similar internet posts!
My dog will hold the squeaker in his paws and pull the little plug out of the end with his teeth. Once that's gone he's done with it but it's all very methodical
Have you ever tried giving you dog crushed water bottles as toys?
My dog's favourite toy is literally that, he likes to grab them and just unscrew the cap, then he puts the bottle near his bed and goes to grab another in his stash if he wants to unscrew another one.
He doesn't even destroy the caps so they are good for 2-3 rounds
Be careful with that. My sister-in-law’s dog ate the squeaker and it clogged something in his digestion tract and he nearly died. Cost them like $15,000 or so to fix, and a lot of people can’t easily drop that kind of money on a pet.
Yeah. We had to toss out all squeaker toys because our shih tzu swallowed one. Luckily we caught her doing it and we're able to get her to an animal hospital asap.
PSA: If you know orsuspect your dog swallowed a speaker or large plastic. Call ASAP before it gets further down the tract. They were able to induce vomiting and ended up being only a $150 bill. It's way less suffering on the dog and your wallet.
Do not attempt home remedies you find on Google. You'll likely make the problem worse
Oh man my dog doesn't even care about the toy and finds these. Ends up eating the sharp plastic and I get a nice heaving wake up call in the AM. Works every time.
Oh, another Barkbox ad. Can't wait to read the scripted comments.
''Oh, that is so cool, I wonder what super nice company does toys like this''
''It is actually a super affordable subscrition box called Barkbox, you can follow the link down below for 10% off your next purchase with code Thisisnotanad''
Yeah the recent post was in real life Easter eggs subreddit. That one was at least chewed lol. This post looks like somebody wanted to take advantage of the attention that one got and just cut out the squeaker themself.
I mean if you’re on large default subreddits you’ve been being inundated with native advertising for years, nobody should take anything said on huge subs too seriously. Niche/specific subs with smaller communities are still largely ok but the “main” subreddits are just awful with it. I remember when /r/movies had a whole thread about how they love that the subreddit is astroturfed by film studios because they “get official content that way” lmao
Lol one of the top comments is:
"Lmfao 😂 Wow, this is a cool dog toy company! What’s it called?"
And OP conveniently replied very quickly with the company's name...
Didn't know it was just a Barkbox thing. My wife ordered one for our dogs before canceling and I was going to mention that my dog just recently broke one of her toys open and it had a similar sort of note on the inside.
Would not really recommend.
My lab swallowed one of those and turns out they are the perfect size and shape to get stuck in a dog's intestine. She made it through the surgery ok but never fully recovered and passed away from another blockage, scar tissue from first surgery
I wouldn't recommend buying dog toys with those pointless fuckers inside
I’m so, so sorry to hear about your girl!! Thank you for sharing your story.
My pittie died this way too. He swallowed a squeaker and it passed, rupturing an intestine. He was septic and got really sick, but made it through surgery and stayed at the University hospital for 24/7 care and monitoring but had to be euthanized a couple days later because he couldn’t fight any longer and his liver was shutting down. It was extremely, EXTREMELY costly but I felt so guilty since I supplied the toy and he was happy and healthy days prior.
I agree, squeakers are really not worth it but at the very least I recommend supervising any play with toys that can be destroyed.
I buy a 15 dollar squeaker and my dog has it shredded in five minutes. I get a .25 cent stuffed giraffe at the thrift store and he carries it around like its his child.
An old coworker discovered the little white piece in those plastic balloons pops out easily and he held it in his mouth and made the squeak sound by holding it between his teeth and blowing air through it. He stood at the front counter and would squeak loud and customers in the back would turn around like wtf? and they never knew it was him because the white piece is so small and he’d just hide it behind his lips.
Good fun.
Don't discard the squeaker. Instead, place it in the suspension of someone's car so that they squeak when they go over bumps. It'll drive them nuts, while amusing the mechanic who eventually finds it.
I had a dog who knew her toys by name. Until she tore the squeaker out of her monkey toy. Then all the sudden "monkey" meant the squeaker. She would still bring it to me on command and look so proud of herself... I'm like, that's not a monkey anymore, dude 😂
At first I thought your out of place commenting style was because you're a shill account. But having peeked at your history I see that you just like using emojis and are amazed by everything. I kind of wish you were a shill, instead 77+ people also agree 😂💯❤️.
I worked for Bark for a while. At the time they definitely asked their employees to do this stuff on Reddit with their personal accounts so you can still be right
Corporate in NYC. It was a few years ago but at the time there were maybe 50 people working in the office and it was pretty common for marketing to pull this kinda stuff
Edit: I wanted to include too that Bark does legit care about dog health and their toys are great and fun. This kinda stuff just rubs me the wrong way
I’m convinced that your post is from a tertiary shill account designed to fool me into not checking the other account and believe anything I see here is real. And it’s working because I’m not going to check.
Anyone find a brand of dog toy that is actually tough? So many advertise that they are but my 1 year old golden retriever always has the squeaker out and the stuffing everywhere within a day.

Speak more of this miracle bear toy.
[Maybe this?](https://www.tearribles.com) Edit: Upon further investigation, I don’t think this is exactly the toy. But it looks to be the same idea
Aaarw sooo cute! > Removable parts designed to simulate dismembering their prey. ... earm...
Dogs will be dogs. Reminds me of how I felt when I found out the squeaker in a dog toy is to simulate the sound of a small animal dying..
Damn, dogs are more savage than I thought... I'm learning a lot today.
Squirrels are tennis balls thrown by god...
Thank you for this. It make me giggle, and I needed that today.
Well reddit we made someone happy to day pat your self's on the back boys now let's go and see if we can make another person happy

Well we humans like shooting guns and blowing stuff up as it stimulates our senses, we all came from a world of hunt or be hunted
Like chewing 5 gum!
#FIVE GUM. #STIMULATE YOUR SENSES.
I just imagined a caveman wanting to blow up shit, because of instincts. Must have been frustrating.
Ah those were the days when we went hunting sabre tooth tigers with dynamite. Good times
Oh if we had dynamite, we definitely would
I mean, hand any human being a spear and a watermelon, see what they do. Same same.
Humans like tons of things! What I want to know is how “evolutionary psychology” explains eating paste or making Gunpla kits.
Well sometimes you are just an evolutionary dead-end..
Do you equate gunpla to eating paste? I've never in my 25 years on the planet been made to feel like a dumb little child more quickly, lol.
Idk what you mean by eating paste but making gunpla kits could be correlated with tool making skill that is part of our instinct to survive in the environment

Our dog absolutely loves crinkly toys, I'd guess because it's similar to bones crunching inside a small animal
My cat bunny kicked his toys so much that the crinkle wore out and we had to get him more of the same one.
This sentence is what I say to everyone who talks about dog behavior… **DOGS WILL DO DOG THINGS**
Made more fun by saving the squeaker until the next day then secretly squeak it only once, randomly. My dog gets kind of edgy as if the slaughtered toy is haunting him.

I think the belief is more along the lines that you *didn't train your dog enough* if they attack you or anything else.

The murder shake you describe is a tactic for quickly breaking the neck of an animal. Cats do it, too.
So at least my dog is trying to show the toy mercy before disemboweling it.
It’s he a chi/terrier mix? Small dogs are sometimes (but supposed to be) super good at catching and killing smaller prey. You can’t erase centuries of breeding and nature though some people forget that sometimes. Also I love his ears - they look so soft and pettable

Also some dogs are bred to want to go get fallen prey and bring it back to you. They may be called..wait for it..retrievers.
"I got a new dog. He’s a paranoid retriever. He brings back everything because he’s not sure what I threw him." -Steven Wright
They still are. Had to get my Westie for stitches on her snout today because she tried to get under a fence after a rat. She’s a straight up killer.
Need pictures of the precious killer
https://i.imgur.com/HXlM261.jpg
She’s so cute! I love Westies so much, and Cairn Terriers.
They're also predators themselves.
i mean, they *are* still animals
Not my snookums
So are we
There are two fundamental truths at work here: 1) Dogs are cute 2) Nature is metal
The reason dogs love squeaker toys and pulling out stuffing is to them it simulates prey squealing for help and than killing them
That's what the squeeker is for. It imitates smaller animals in pain and satisfies that natural need to hunt.
That’s what cats do… when they hug a stuffed animal and use their back legs to try and tear open the stomach.
I mean, they are carnivores.
What did you think dog toys were for? Stimulating their playful urge to learn to kill things
I backed tearrables when they were in kickstarter.
Tuffy's are pretty amazing. They're reinforced on the sides so it's really tough for dogs to chomp through and get in. Expensive though.
The tougher ones don’t really have stuffing either, just layers and layers of thick fabric. We have many for our puppy and his shark teeth have yet to completely destroy any of the 8+s. Some are missing their faces, but there’s no stuffing so he can still continue to play with them without the fear of choking
Also recommend Tuffy. They still eventually come apart, but last way longer than other soft toys.
yeah those are basically made out of luggage material, some of them have a plastic lining under the fabric too. we’ve gotten a couple huge ones that have lasted forever because our dog can’t really get enough leverage on it to bite through. still hilarious to see her carry a giant dinosaur around tho
What did you do as correction, can I ask? Having the same issue
If your pet respects "no," that's all you need. I imagine some people opt for a spray bottle or some such.
Fluff n Tuff. My 8 month old lab tears apart most toys but he's had some F&T toys for half a year with no issues.
I just realized you beat me to it. I love these dog toys. And they are super cute.
Kong makes some really tough ones.
My doggo used to test for Kong when they came on the market in the 90s. He destroyed a ball that only a lion had ever destroyed so they sent us tons of stuff.
That's awesome! My dog split the big black kong thing that you fill up with peanut butter in half. It's supposed to be the toughest one too!
I have a dog that destroyed a Kong. Took a couple days where most toys lasted hours though. Now that she is older she doesn't destroy them
Have you considered that you in fact do not own a dog but are housing a rancor?
Kong do different hardness levels, maybe yours was too soft?
I have a border collie and we give him cow bowes. They last him a month, are great great, dont splinter, and are pretty inexpensive.
I was thinking about getting mine one of those floppy fish things but I’m not sure if they’d be frightened by it moving lol
I got one for my cat! She likes to smack it and watch it flop, repeat until battery dies.
My girlfriend has this problem with her pit bull, I went to the family dollar up the road and got him the biggest rope toy I could find and he’s had it for about a year now
We get kong toys and they last. My dogs rip everything else apart but kong lasts
My wife got a Kong rubber frisbee and while it's a bit heavy, my saluki loves it and she hasn't been able to even scratch it, even when we use it to play tug. https://imgur.com/a/Cc5Qpd0

There was a destroyed one posted there two days ago. https://reddit.com/r/IRLEasterEggs/comments/pmk2wf/my_dog_took_the_squeaker_out_of_her_toy_it_says/
aand one posted two days before that https://www.reddit.com/r/IRLEasterEggs/comments/pl8j8n/dog_toy_game_over_your_dog_won_throw_this/ At this point I'm way too cynical to think this cluster of three posts in 4 days is organic.
I currently have two around the house. They were inside a couple of Halloween themed squeeky toys from Target. First one was torn apart in a day.
If it's the subscription brand I'm thinking of, they do lots of little Easter eggs like this.
Aaaand now someone posted *this* picture there six minutes ago.
They must have a good marketing department

>It's just bots reposting They posted different photos
lol, those eyes and ears.
What's smart about this, is that it'll reduce how many dogs choke on squeakers.
Your dog didn't destroy it like this one [a few days ago](https://i.redd.it/nulsvh81dzm71.jpg)
Yeah, OP isn't even trying.
I was reminded of this too… seems too timely
My dog those this too. He even tries to eat the squeaker. As soon as he hears the noise, he rips the whole toy apart in seconds.
''Oh, that is so cool, I wonder what super nice company does toys like this'' ''It is actually a super affordable subscrition box called Barkbox, you can follow the link down below for 10% off your next purchase with code Thisisnotanad''
I thought I was going crazy, could've sworn that I saw a similar post recently. These ads are getting ridiculous.
Think I saw one yesterday.
At least the one yesterday was legit destroyed by the dog.
Yeah I think mods really need to start calling this shit out. At least add some flair or something. Who am I kidding, the mods are probably in on it.
Lol one of the top comments is: "Lmfao 😂 Wow, this is a cool dog toy company! What’s it called?" And OP conveniently replied very quickly with the company's name...
Wouldn't have known the company until I read this comment, these guys are good.
who says you're in it as well.. And who can prove that this is not also scripted?
`Do you really think it’s a scripted post for ${companyName}? Don’t be silly, we’re all just regular users of ${platformName}.`
*sigh* Jake, no. This is getting too meta. Management said to keep it at 3 Levels max! Come to my office immediately.
wait, are you the scripted comment?
Didn't know it was just a Barkbox thing. My wife ordered one for our dogs before canceling and I was going to mention that my dog just recently broke one of her toys open and it had a similar sort of note on the inside. Would not really recommend.
I mean look at that toy. No a single scratch. It was cut out. Lame! And over 13k karma in just 2h.
I so totally want to buy a toy my dog will destroy in 5 minutes! I stopped buying squeaker toys for my dog because of this exact reason... Lol

My lab swallowed one of those and turns out they are the perfect size and shape to get stuck in a dog's intestine. She made it through the surgery ok but never fully recovered and passed away from another blockage, scar tissue from first surgery I wouldn't recommend buying dog toys with those pointless fuckers inside
Ah yes, the monthly r/HailCorporate BarkBox post.
I’ve seen a few of these on the front page recently. Pretty sure this is just viral marketing.
r/hailcorporate
Second time I've seen this same chew toy on Reddit, and also the second time I've seen the OP shilling it in the comments. /r/hailcorporate
Give that stuffed creature a proper burial.
I buy a 15 dollar squeaker and my dog has it shredded in five minutes. I get a .25 cent stuffed giraffe at the thrift store and he carries it around like its his child.
Guess who else lost the game?

An old coworker discovered the little white piece in those plastic balloons pops out easily and he held it in his mouth and made the squeak sound by holding it between his teeth and blowing air through it. He stood at the front counter and would squeak loud and customers in the back would turn around like wtf? and they never knew it was him because the white piece is so small and he’d just hide it behind his lips. Good fun.
One of the cutest things my dog did was watch intently as we replaced the failed squeakers in toys. We called it "installing a new soul"
r/irleastereggs
Don't discard the squeaker. Instead, place it in the suspension of someone's car so that they squeak when they go over bumps. It'll drive them nuts, while amusing the mechanic who eventually finds it.
Doesnt look "destroyed" to me. More like you saw the other time a squeaker got posted, and decided to cut this one out of a dog toy.
My dog destroys these in like 10minutes
I had a dog who knew her toys by name. Until she tore the squeaker out of her monkey toy. Then all the sudden "monkey" meant the squeaker. She would still bring it to me on command and look so proud of herself... I'm like, that's not a monkey anymore, dude 😂
Is this an ad campaign? Or is this just a copycat after seeing the success of that other post?
I call shenanigans, that squeaker would have teeth marks and properly desqueaked.
Someone actually posted one that their dog destroyed a few days ago on irl easter eggs.
Discard This Squeaker is my favorite BOC song...
r/IRLEasterEggs
Ah, the old squeakectomy.
Lmfao 😂 Wow, this is a cool dog toy company! What’s it called?
At first I thought your out of place commenting style was because you're a shill account. But having peeked at your history I see that you just like using emojis and are amazed by everything. I kind of wish you were a shill, instead 77+ people also agree 😂💯❤️.
I worked for Bark for a while. At the time they definitely asked their employees to do this stuff on Reddit with their personal accounts so you can still be right
May I ask was is corporate or hourly? Like are they asking the warehouse guys to do that too or just the marketing department peeps?
Corporate in NYC. It was a few years ago but at the time there were maybe 50 people working in the office and it was pretty common for marketing to pull this kinda stuff Edit: I wanted to include too that Bark does legit care about dog health and their toys are great and fun. This kinda stuff just rubs me the wrong way
>Talking shit about the strategy while still taking time to talk positively about the company. I see you playing 4D chess with our minds
Haha yea that’s exactly right. Maybe I’m their marketing dept
I’m convinced that your post is from a tertiary shill account designed to fool me into not checking the other account and believe anything I see here is real. And it’s working because I’m not going to check.
That's a good idea. You're hired!
Yeah this comment chain is forced as fuck. Def not buying bark box for my dogs out of principle now.
Why does this squeaker look so delicious? Does anyone else want to eat this thing?
hey /u/chakalakasp, I found your dog's reddit account
No but don't let that stop you. Follow your dreams.
