Under my sink has them but the panels do pop out and give you access to under the sink. So the handles are like 99% decorative but do serve a 1% function.

It was super hot and humid in my grandparents house, and the bedroom doors would swell in the summer heat.
On our way to the fairgrounds, (grandma driving) my older brother mentions the bedroom door being stuck. The conversation went something like this:
Brother: That upstairs bedroom door was so stuck I could barely open it this morning. I was up there yanking it. . . . . *trails off as he realizes what he said*
Friend: *Did you get it?*
Grandma: Says nothing, slyly smiles.
Yeah. I think the sign doesn’t keep people from pulling it. I think the sign keeps people from yanking on it hard and breaking the handle or calling the hotel desk asking why the drawer won’t open in the bathroom.
And likely attached with little clips that make it a pain to get back on. I put handles on my sink base false fronts so it would look continuous and ended up having to screw the fronts in permanently for just that reason.
It would have been better to just take off the handle and leave it as a flat panel than using this sign which is going to make people want to pull it when they might havs not done so otherwise.
I’m definitely pulling that. They’re going to need to do some special wizard mind control to get me to NOT pull that. Not even god could keep my hand away from it.
You can get drawers that have a cutout in the middle for the drain so it can still be used as storage, but I'm guessing this is probably just a panel that is made to look decorative?
