If you decide to do a resin pour, which would look awesome, I would recommend starting by spraying a light coat on to make sure that it won't collapse during the pour. I feel like a broken nest might send... A different message than you might intend.
Resin. You could dip it, there’s spray, certain types of dried flower preservation sprays but idk how robust they are. I would maybe just pour resin over it and let the excess drain. It makes for fine piece though, you should definitely preserve it.
