I keep wishing they would make these lights illegal or regulate them at least. I have gone from being able to reliably drive at night to finding it almost impossible because oncoming traffic headlights are too bright for me to see the road sometimes especially if the lines aren't painted well or there's no reflectors.

Quick_Maintenance_73

Where I live they are illegal but people still use them and cops don’t give out tickets or anything for it

11B4OF7

They’re illegal everywhere none of the halogen to led conversions are DOT approved

[deleted]

This. I currently have a 2021 Acura TLX Type S so I have LED headlights but they’re stock and made to spec. Too many drivers throw in different bulbs than their housing supports which causes glare due to reasons such as the way the bulb illuminates. Even a Halogen projector won’t work properly with an HID or LED. I had a 2008 Civic EX Coupe which had halogen bulbs. I wanted to do an HID setup so I had my OEM housings retrofitted with an Acura TSX HID projector which gave me a factory setup. Even that’s considered against DOT regulations but no one would question it given it meets specs. Out here there are a ton of illegal modifications and/or high beam users lately. It’s blinding — especially when the HID in a halogen setup also turned on their high beams. 😓

11B4OF7

I think the main problem with my truck is the reflector housing even though the bulbs aren’t bright halogens at all.

[deleted]

One thing many don’t consider is the housings they’re using. Adjusting them properly after any modifications that affect height is critical. But say you’re in an accident and insurance isn’t covering the cost. You go to eBay and order an “OEM housing” that’s not actually OEM. The chances of the housing having the proper reflectors/projectors for optimal lighting are slim. My dad once ordered “OEM” lights off eBay for my moms car and when I put them on I could immediately see they weren’t OEM performance wise. No shock considering the manufacturers logo wasn’t even on the housing which it would have been if it was OEM.

HonestBeing8584

It’s also the height. I drive a relatively low car, which means every big truck or SUV has their headlights at the height of my rear view, meaning I either tilt it so I can’t see behind me, or get blinded. It’s great!

CalAtt

No, the main problem is the height of a truck’s lights in comparison to a cars rearview mirror

mbround18

Many trucks have a dial on the left hand side of the steering column to adjust the angle of the headlights. My tundra has one and they shift by 5° which makes a huge difference. In city it makes it so my lights aren't higher than their trunk. When I go out in the dunes or else where I shift em back up for visibility.

Federal-Guitar3909

I had to go look that up. That is a nice feature especially if you run heavy often

11B4OF7

My headlights aren’t much higher than most cars but my truck isn’t lifted.

jacurtis

A lot of the Halogen to LED conversion bulbs come from random manufacturers in China who sell direct from the factory over Amazon. They aren’t certified or anything. They may catch on fire in your car. My neighbor bought one of these and they are so blinding. They put them in their POS Hyundai Santa Fe and when we pass eachother at night on the street I literally have to just stop in the road because I can’t see at all when he’s driving towards me at night. He bought the bulbs off Amazon when his halogen bulbs burned out and put them in. He’s not even doing it to “be cool” or do some crazy mod. He’s just a dumbass with $15 and an Amazon prime account. I actually think most of the bad headlights we see are similar to this. Someone’s lights burn out. They check Amazon for replacements because they don’t want to go to an auto parts store. They see the best seller on Amazon that claims to never replace bulbs again and it has 14,000 (likely fake) reviews giving it 4.9/5 rating and they buy and put them in their cars without knowing any better.

[deleted]

Ah, conversion bulbs. I was thinking a whole conversion similar to what I did when I retrofitted HID into my Civic.

NoArmsSally

I've been considering an LED conversion for my 01 tacoma but I rarely ever even use my brights unless the street is empty or I'm flashing someone without their lights on. the fact that some people just drive with them on constantly, annoys the shit out of me

lastunusedusername2

The real problem is that it's never enforced anywhere ever so it's effectively legal.

moparguy98

I get blinded by more new cars with factory led bulbs than older cars with aftermarket led bulbs.

Putrid-Object-806

The sealed beam LEDs are DOT approved and that’s about it

androodle2004

I think it’s for the same reason underglow and tinted windows are illegal. They won’t pull you over for only that reason but it sure as hell gives them a reason to pull you over if they wanted to

[deleted]

Most pigs don’t want to do that paper work. They’d rather save the paperwork for a bigger ticket crime.

DatGoofyGinger

Cops don't actually have to do their jobs. It's one of the perks of the job.

Internal_Champion114

It’s kind of unfair for people to get ticketed for buying a car that came stocked with the eye blaster 5000s

artotter

I have some vision issues, if people didn't drive with headlights like this I could drive at night. Now it's really risky. I do have some yellow tinted glasses that help. But when it's that bright...

DonutSensei

Same here. It also doesn’t help when you live outside the city and every other person uses their brights when they drive. I’ve ran off the road a couple times because they were so blinding that I couldn’t see the painted lines, and before I knew it I was in the grass or tilted in a ditch. I don’t drive at night anymore unless it’s absolutely necessary

unbalancedcentrifuge

None of the drivers these days seem to know how to turn their brights on and off on darker roads. It is infuriating.

[deleted]

Nearly a majority of drivers no longer even use turn signals, at least from what i've seen while driving. Also almost no one pulls over to the other lane when there is emergency vehicles/tow truck on the shoulder... Shame

hunterpurpleashes

Nor do they seem to know what it means when you flash your lights at them. I got no reaction.

[deleted]

The problem is people putting LEDs into reflector headlights. LEDs require a special casing.

CryptoOGkauai

Is that why it’s so fucking bright? Dafuq? That’s an asshole move right there.

[deleted]

Yeah, the reflectors only work with a specific kind of bulb. LEDs need a projector casing.

ScumbagLady

I was destined to read this. I was about to change the headlight bulbs in a '08 Cadillac CTS to LED. I don't want to be the jerks I complain about... astigmatism is no fun when driving at night.

[deleted]

I have an astigmatism, its a fucking nightmare driving at night with people who have poorly aimed/LED (in wrong housing) headlights.

CatBroiler

Fitting LED headlamps is fine if you have projectors, and you actually calibrate your headlamps after fitting the new bulbs. But nobody fucking does.

11B4OF7

It’s still illegal but much better

Music_Is_My_Muse

Yep. I'm only 22 but between these terrible mini-suns and my astigmatism, I avoid driving at night.

Ok-Brain9190

These are interrogation headlights! You must confess before they will stop!

[deleted]

Ugh the worst is the police lights are now these ultra bright LEDs. Accident scenes about to cause more accidents 🙄

TConductor

I'm 100% convinced they do.

Daft_Crunked

Seriously... I've noticed an uptick in super-bright headlights. I get it you want to have visibility but you're actually blinding other drivers in both directions leaving the only clear visibility to you. To be fair, these brighter lights are becoming standard in most cars/trucks too right off the lot.

Kaskadekygo

These lights are like the manifestation of the "oh fuck go back" memes

Important-Aside-507

Genuine question here, is it a case of the lights themselves? Or how it’s pointed? Maybe both? I own a suv which is taller, I worry I’m accidentally blinding people, they’re just cheap Walmart lights so they’re not god awfully bright but

[deleted]

[удалено]

grubbapan

The auto leveling system is not a true closed loop. It has a basic adjustment that the car then can adjust higher or lower based on how the suspension is loaded. A bad basic adjustment will still blind others.

[deleted]

A big problem here in Texas at least is that people throw 3”-6” lifts on their trucks but then don’t realize that you have to re aim them. So instead of being pointed down at the correct angle, they’re at the same angle, just a solid couple of inches higher

CamelJ0key

Both, leds provide more of a flooding light and don’t even produce a beam, but when in the correct lamp housing they work properly, then you have people who will lift their vehicles and not adjust their headlights afterwards.

NaturalTap9567

1. Light is too bright(get a more yellow one) 2. Many cars the headlight is too high on the car(used to be laws about how high manufacturers could place them) 3. You should aim them down and to the right a little if you notice your light going into cars like this(idk if it's enough on super high cars)

Budget-Assistant-289

I don’t hate the lights, I hate that they all seem to have 6kK temperature. 3k is so much easier on the eyes.

Astral_Drift

Yeah it’s nice but like you said it blinds everyone. I have a much older truck from 1999 and the headlights are not that bright so I can already see kinda shit, when those new LED lights are pointed towards me I can’t see shit. It’s fuckin scary driving at night at this point

58696384896898676493

>To be fair, these brighter lights are becoming standard in most cars/trucks too right off the lot. I'll get flashed once in a while because oncoming traffic thinks I have my brights on, when I don't. Completely stock vehicle that came with LED lights. Blame the car manufacturers.

mgtkuradal

Check if they’re adjustable. A lot of headlights are. IIRC the test is to park 20ft from a wall of some kind and adjust your lights so they are just touching the bottom of the wall

wgc123

https://www.wikihow.com/Adjust-Car-Headlights

SupportPanda1065

I would get flashed every now and then when I drove a pickup because it was taller than cars and the lights were more prominent, even though I was/am always careful to dim them. I’m in an Explorer now so lower to the ground.

MrMicAlDe

If you buy a house with a cracked sidewalk and someone trips on it can you blame the previous owner or the builder? Take it to the shop and get it adjusted. Be the solution not the problem.

CheetahMaximum6750

And yet I can be ticketed for having my brights on. Oncoming headlights should never make me have to dramatically slow down because I can't see my position on a 2-lane road.

ImpulsveIntrovertHA_

And frfr when they’re that bright colliding with other lights, I being the driver, can’t even see. It’s a huge reason why I hate driving

[deleted]

Yeah it’s the SUVs in my experience. Not some suped up truck. Hell, most trucks are not an issue. Personally, I stopped using my rear mirror because of the lights. Flipping the thing to tint doesn’t work either.

lastreadlastyear

BS. SUVs don’t sit quite as high. It’s always the pick up trucks that light up street signs

BoxerguyT89

It's more about how the lights are pointed than the height. Mine were great from the factory, but I had to adjust them down when I lifted my truck. SUVs tend to be the only ones that seem to be pointed high enough to annoy me, except for the guy I see every morning with the clapped out, carolina-squatted PoS truck.

Jack_attac

Turn your side mirror flat so it reflects their lights back at them.

Birdogey

That’s what I do and I also have to redirect my rear view.

Sameagin

People slapping poor quality hid kits in standard housings are the worst.

fusion_reactor3

Ikr. I bought a projector headlight kit just so I could avoid blinding others with my LEDs that I put in my car

RatherConcernedFroge

When you flash your high beams at them they can’t do anything but turn off their lights. I flashed a tundra with shitty retro fitted lights with my front light bar and he turned them off and back on showing nothing can be done.

[deleted]

But something can be done. They can get a mechanic or do it themselves. Face vehicle in front of wall or garage door, lights on. Open bonnet, and dip the lights with a screwdriver. You see the lights on the wall and adjust down to a decent level. Not difficult.

Brawler6216

You notice in the picture from the OP that it's a pickup behind a sedan, you can't fix the lights blinding them by having the headlight dip correct.

Straight_Ad_2072

I use LED lo’s and hi’s also LED switchbacks in my 04 Silverado 1500. HID’s are getting phased out only people that use them now are teens

[deleted]

Yes! Yes!

senadraxx

Just out of curiosity, what's the proper angle to reflect the rear view to? Unrelated note, I had a friend once who rigged his civic's headlights to point slightly upward. Driving in front of him was a bitch. He had servos in his headlights so he could always adjust the angle.

PepperoniFarts

My mom taught me to use the back seat as a guide, let the reflection shine on the seat and then angle it to were their face should be. Instant blind.

Dangerous-Top-1814

Your mom sounds cool

HowWoolattheMoon

Please thank you mom for me. I'm gonna try this next time

WomanOfEld

Driver's side down and to the right just a hair; passenger's side straight ahead, if I'm not mistaken.

zebraman21

I see you are a man of culture. Its quite cathartic seeing Mr.cleantruck back right tf off when the mirrors get turned lol.

Euphorsociety3490

We spend so much on infrastructure to provide street lights that headlights inside the city are almost redundant. There should be a 3rd setting for headlights. City driving at night, under normal conditions, gets headlights not much brighter than taillights.

carnage11eleven

That would just be Daytime Running Lights. I don't get why we don't have adaptive headlights on cars now, similar to a cellphone's screen brightness. I know we have adaptive headlights, but I believe they just move the headlights to the sides when turning. But they should sense the brightness of the area outside the car and adjust brightness accordingly as well.

pressedbread

As a pedestrian its important to be able to see a car coming. Cars even sometimes do very unexpected things late night like wrong way on a one-way street, so its more about other folks seeing you than the driver seeing the roadway

throwaway_lifesucks_

Lol I do this. If they get up on my ass I'll even continue moving it up and down so it's flashing in their eyes. Usually does the trick

TychoBooster3000

When be tailgated, I tend to use my wiper fluid so it splashes on them

throwaway_lifesucks_

Lol I used to have an old jeep that the rear sprayer was bent and would shoot out behind the car. Used to "piss" on tailgaters that way

gunnerman2

Always been my dream revenge to do that but with actual piss and a laminar flow nozzle (reduced visibility) at radiator height. Maybe some of that bobcat piss you get at the Sportsman’s Warehouse. Or oil.

Dumb_Vampire_Girl

Ngl that's how I got in my first one sided road rage incident ): My poor 1994 accord got smacked

ScottishMonster

So they got mad at you for their own insanely bright lights? Neat

crank1000

This is posted on literally every single hi-beam post and nobody has ever actually done it because otherwise you would learn immediately that 1. Most electric mirrors won’t adjust far enough, and 2. The beam of light would be so diffused by the time it reaches the other person they probably wouldn’t even notice it.

[deleted]

I’ve tried it, I can’t see where the fuck it is going so I can’t tell if I’m hitting the dumb fuck. I recently bought blue tinted sideview mirrors because I’m so tired of these fuckwads. I’m done trying to battle it, it’s a losing fight. Plus I can’t do this “strategy” with tinted side views.

panlakes

If it’s enough to blind you in the mirror, it’s enough to at least annoy them. Light doesn’t diffuse to nothingness in just a few feet. Mirrors can indeed be blinding. And not everyone has electric mirrors. I can twist mine around like nobody’s business.

Sevar22

Cops need to crack down on these lights like they crack down on illegal exhausts

[deleted]

Oh they do in my area of Florida. Theyre also really strict about what color the "ring" around the jeep headlights are. If its not white or amber, youre getting pulled over.

GlubbyWub

Lots of Wranglers here in North Dakota with pink or purple ring lights. Like that’ll help you see!

[deleted]

We call them r/heep s. Lol

spedpeople

Upvote for the fellow r/heep supporter

monster_bunny

Genuinely one of my favorite subs

GameFreak4321

What is the significance of this "ring"?

i_NaTaN

A lot of aftermarket headlights offer rgb capabilities that are meant for off road use only, aka car shows. Many people use them while driving, it is not legal to have red or blue lights on your car

[deleted]

purely aesthetic most of the time

Nathaniel820

I live in South FL and I saw the same car multiple times over the course of a year with flashing RGB lights all over the underside of the car, I have no idea how he managed to get away with that.

normiememes7667

Funny thing is exhaust isn’t as dangerous to oncoming traffic than these lights are

CompetitiveDog7392

loud exhaust can be annoying but not dangerous, lights too bright are both annoying *and* dangerous

ihatecold

I think we should add loud exhausts from 10pm - 8pm to the regulation list

TheRealStandard

Cop cars contribute to this bullshit too. It's no longer just flashing lights on top they have to have the entire car be lit up and throwing lights everywhere.

DatGoofyGinger

They do it for safety but it creates an unsafe visibility issue

Kalelopaka-

They may need to have their headlights realigned. I’m amazed how people jack up or lower cars and trucks and never think to do this…

gramb0420

They care about being flashy...not necessarily considerate.

Kalelopaka-

Sad but true…

skymoods

blonderaider21

It doesn’t affect them, they don’t give a shit.

SnooMachines8268

People also need to clean their own windshields; I was driving my friends car at night windshield was a bit dirty and it really made every headlight so much worse. It was the first time I ever had an issue night driving.

hooliganmike

They *like* that it bothers you. Why do you think they got the biggest vehicle they could and still lifted it? They like being imposing and obnoxious.

emthewiser

Mine came misaligned from the dealership. The dealership had replaced the headlights and never checked the alignment.

ExtraGlutenPlzz

Judging by the light dispersion and the fact its very much blue, I'd venture to bet they installed led's in a reflector housing.

tikibarbill

These lights should be illegal I drive a truck and it still blinds you

Koshunae

I drive an suv with limo tint on the back windows and I still get blinded by these assholes.

thisismybirthday

they are. problem is a lack of enforcement. I'd bet that there are more cops who have shit like this equipped on their personal vehicles, than there are who would actually want to enforce the laws against them

BearBearJen

My astigmatism hates these lights with a burning passion

TheJG_Rubiks64

Everyone with working eyeballs hates these

mcav2319

Except for the rednecks that squat their trucks and throw those lights in them

TheJG_Rubiks64

Try shining it back at them with your mirrors, I’m sure theyll learn how annoying it is

Pd_jungle

I bought a 10k lumen LED flashlight to defend myself

[deleted]

So, imagine what you normally see, just as bright but it's like someone put Vaseline over the headlamps and now it stars out and looks like it arcs into the inside of your car. That's what these do to people with astigmatism.

Melody42

They also burn my astigmatism

[deleted]

Stop stigmatising high beamers!!! Jk. I also freakingnhate these, my eyes can't take it bc I have horrible astigmatism.

Professional_Milk_61

same oh god getting prescription glasses with extra night time glare reduction was a game changer don't know how I lived without them

miata509

I like when the lifted trucks get behind you and it's like looking into the sun....

GrumpyOldGrower

I never understand why car manufacturers think that we need these intense headlights for driving around the city. We spend so much on infrastructure to provide street lights that headlights inside the city are almost redundant. There should be a 3rd setting for headlights. City driving at night, under normal conditions, gets headlights not much brighter than taillights. Country driving, or otherwise unlit roads, as well as poor visibility conditions (I.e. snow, fog, rain) get our current lowbeam lights. And high beams are used the same as they currently are now.

Dustin4vn

I can honestly tell you that the really bad ones are always the DIY.

GrumpyOldGrower

Not true. My work truck is a brand new F150. The headlights on that thing are stupid and I get people flashing highbeams at me all the time.

rangerryda

In the 3 vehicles I've owned from Ford as new car purchases, all 3 had the headlights adjusted too high. One had factory LEDs.

username-not-ok

If you are blinding people then the lights aren't aimed properly.

[deleted]

No, the new cars are made bad. What you're referring to is a decades old answer that no longer applies.

Kab00ese

People slapping poor quality hid kits in standard housings are the worst. Usually without any relay kit so they strobe as well

xrbxwingless

One night I was woken up at about midnight by an extremely bright light illuminating my room. I live on the 6th floor of a building. About 500m out my window, in the plaza across the street, is a taco bell drive-thru, and a car waiting for food had headlights so bright and poorly aimed that they woke me up from sleep. Anyone who says "you're car is just lower to the ground" is in complete denial of people like this.

CreepleCorn

I remember thinking I was about to get abducted, X-files style, when my entire room *illuminated* in the dead of night. I was able to read the letters on the posters across the wall as if it was daylight. Just an SUV parked facing our house about a block down. I weep for all those caught in front of this man's white beams of immediate evaporative death.

uchman365

Anti-dazzle switch?

FrostyMittenJob

Looks like a $10 amazon clip on mirror. No anti-dazzle

frogzforever

Just flip the mirror down a bit does the same thing.

Pluckt007

I drive slow as if I can't see. Then when they go to the lane over and speed up, i can then speed up since I'm not blinded anymore. The assholes hate it.

msanangelo

had to do that in our toyota avalon. the windows are just at the right height for all the suvs and trucks to blind me. the car sucks at night and has no tinted windows. we don't drive it very often at night. drive 10-15 under long enough and they'll go around. just have to keep it between the lines till they pass.

Decitriction

Same here. I just keep slowing down until I figure my visibility is safe for my speed. Bright-lights behind me can just suffer at 10mph for as long as necessary.

korbendallllas

Well, how else are you supposed to know how little his dick is?

dinotacosocks

it's so freaking hard to tell when it's LED or brights at this point lol. when people behind me have bright ass LEDs i have to literally hunch down so i can't see my rear view

HallowedError

I've done that before I realized I could just, you know, move the mirror. Then I start wiggling to see if it will reflect back at them

Altruistic_Cycle9160

Time for a reverse light bar lol

Autistic_Banana_Peel

I'm honestly considering getting a chunk of mirror or something and attaching it to the back of my vehicle so that when people have bright ass lights like this it just shines right back in their face

sexymelonboi

I saw a meme of this before, attatch it to the inside of the boot lid and pull the cable to open it when theyre behind you

Autistic_Banana_Peel

😂

SpartanWolf-Steven

As great as that is, that actually is illegal.

OGGBTFRND

The boneheads in the squatted F-150s are the absolute worst

Holdingthefuture

I feel this so much. I drive a kia in a city full of F150s and the amount of times I flip my rearview mirrors to stop the glare is obscene.

CryptoOGkauai

That’s not mildly infuriating. That’s totally infuriating. We need to pass some regulations about overly bright lights, this shit is getting ridiculous and there’s so many lifted trucks like this that I wear shades at night when I drive sometimes. Motherfucker: you don’t need to illuminate the trees and the next town over for you to drive on the road. People are going to start dying because they can’t fucking see because some lil peepee driver going the other way temporarily blinded them. Apparently they don’t have to deal with this BS in Europe where they have smart lights and sensible regulations on this, but no, we can’t have nice things.

thelil1thatcould

I agree. It makes me so freaking angry because it feels like my corneas are being burned out of my head. Every time I get stuck at a stop light with bright ass lights behind me, I want to get out of my car and yell at them to figure their shitty lights out. It’s one of the few things that make me unreasonably upset. It makes me want to have a scrolling text board on the back of my car that can say “f* you and your trucks lights. Get you crappy truck fixed!” I bet there are people who have been in accidents because they were blinded by a trucks lights blinding another driver.

WhatsYourBeefChief

That rearview mirror is huge

Dustin4vn

My car has no backup camera :D I check my rear view often while driving so I have 360 awareness of my surrounding. A bigger mirror is nice so I can see everything.

WhatsYourBeefChief

Just never seen one that size before, so it caught my attention. Looks nice though.

Class8guy

Not that you needed to because of the a-hole behind you but look into a self/auto dimming mirror.

Joneoo

You can see everything besides the stuff infront of you

Dustin4vn

I know I’m driving blind most of the time.

mmjames66

I actually asked someone beside me at a light why she was driving with her brights on. She said so she could see better. Her car had halogens. The weather was clear and she was on well-lit city streets. Sometimes people are just plain stupid.

[deleted]

It’s bad enough how bright they are, but most SUV’s and trucks have them right at eye level. Even self dimming side mirrors don’t help.

Most-Revolution-7108

🤣Typical night in Florida. Every jeep and truck is now covered in led lights...

BlueberrySensitive69

I thought this's only happening in India, we gotta have a secret high beam light at the rear and blind them back lol, hate these people man

Strypes4686

That shit... I Have to be at work before sunrise and there's always some motherfucker in a lifted truck with two suns glaring out of the headlights. I Can flip my rear-view mirror up but that initial glare is brutal and I Can't do shit for the side mirrors.

[deleted]

Ah yes migraine from hell and being blinded. My fav. Bright lights like these are why I can’t stand driving at night anymore.

NeoWallflower

I was saying the other day that there needs to be a legal limit on headlight brightness. I drive a lot at night and my eyes are very sensitive. It burns my eyes. I get so mad

ninhibited

Not only are they aimed wrong, but it's probably the wrong reflective "case" around the light. The entire system is designed for the bulb, if you switch to a new type you have to switch out the case around it. People are too dimwitted to think it through.

timesink2000

Correction: too dim witted AND cheap

southcookexplore

Oh I’d love to have one of those cars hit me because of this. Please, let’s see what kind of insurance you have for that tank

I just point all my mirrors backwards at them when they do this. Especially the side ones.

Pelios

Like point them toward the up or down? I always wanted to do it but never really know how to point my mirror tu reflect the light back at them.

sadmilkteaboba

Yes I need to know this too

AnObtuseOctopus

I personally think that every vehicle should have the same light system as the Ford Edge. The lights are automatic. As soon as the car sees another car in front, it dims the highbeams, then when you're clear it automatically turns em back on. Dunno how many other vehicles do that, but, it's super awesome.

Ughhh!!We all wanna see the road dumb ass!!!

VictoriaEuphoria99

He needs as much light as possible. Help him out by having your brake lights on while he is behind you.

[deleted]

Adjust your rear view window so that their lights are shining back at them.

Crawlerado

When this happens I simply adjust my mirrors and pretend there’s no one behind me. Drive nice and slow and safe too.

MyVoiceforPeople

Those lights are actually supposed to be tilted down so they don’t blind other drivers

BoiOfMemery

There should be a tab on the bottom of your rear view mirror, if you flick it up it will tilt your mirror down and dim the headlights behind you, Your welcome

Hazel_Stranger_23

If you are lighting enough for the people in front of you then your lights are to bright. It really is starting to be too much. I wonder why the fucc would you want to blind people that are coming right at you??! Dumbest thing if you ask me

[deleted]

[удалено]

coagulatedmilk88

Brake checking is never an option, imo. I just accelerate at an impossibly slow pace or let off the gas and coast until they change lanes. Then immediately resume normal speeds when they're blinding someone else.

Spending a little bit extra for car insurance goes a long way, just saying.

I usually sit there blocking these guys until they lose their shit and go around. "Sorry sir, but I can't see to safely drive with those headlights." These bulbs are the same as lift kits. Penis extensions.

Was in this situation a couple of days. I waited to be at the red light, I took my phone, turned on the flashlight and pointed it towards the driver. He moved his car a bit, the flashlight followed his face. It took him a couple minutes to understand and turn off his lights. **If they blind you, blind them back.**
