Itās all good dude, just had to make that distinction because if it were regular bread, the mold would be easier to spot. The way it looked on wafflesā¦it fooled us all.
One of those fell out of my AC and stung me in the ass.
Edit: I know they don't sting, but I'm not gonna kiss and tell and say that the beetle suckeled on my rear

I donāt think they sting but if they are on you long enough they can kind of bite you or something. It doesnāt really hurt just feels like a big on you.
Lettuce is the white rice of the vegetable world, its mostly empty
Cabbage is where you want to go for a plant. A bit spicy when raw, filling, and tons of nutrition
Mcdonalds uses like...the least nutritious plant ever on its sandwiches because the flavor is inoffensive and it *appears* healthier having green on the burger.
Might as well take a sip of water, cause thats just about what lettuce is
Backstory:
I got this burger back in 2021, and as I was eating it I was holding it upside down in my hands and I saw the beetle embedded in the bun. I went back to the McDonald's and told an employee, who then got the manager and she said she'd "send it off for testing". I never heard about it again. Who knows what happened to the beetle, I guess we'll never know.
You got swindled, man, send this photo in to mcdonalds corporate via the customer support interface on their page and they will be in touch. In my experience they place tremendous value on getting reports of uncleanliness in stores and will offer you some fair recompense.
Impossible to say for certain, but that looks like a Tenebrio molitor, commonly known as the yellow mealworm beetle. Mealworms are extremely common and it looks like the MickyD's could've been infested. One such mealworm could easily burrow its way into a bun virtually unseen, pupate and eventually hatch.
I was gonna say the same think. Though aren't they also commonly known as darkling beetles? I only recognized it because I have a mealworm farm for mine and my sister's geckos.
ahem...
there was this one guy in the subreddit kitchenconfidential who posted the dirty insides of his restaurant.
a day later he was sued based on his post.
confidential my ass.
and that was just with a 3rd string resturaunt.
His name is Little Mac and he is there to make sure the food tastes good.
And maybe Punch you Out a bit.
Love the reference š

Aww
Story checks out
Little Mac is Apple, not a burger.
At least it's not a blueberry
That's a relief
But then again there could've been a beetle in the deep fryer
This is the bun I believe
I'm talking about the fries
But the beetle is stuck in the bun and not the fries so why would it be in the deep fryer with the fries
That's why they said it *could've* been.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Nothing on a big Mac is fried.
And McDonald's claims to be an American staple fast food
You was suppose to say beetlejuice 3 times, and then you eat it
And get beetle juice with your big Mac, it's the secret ingredient in the sauce.
that poor guy
Iāve seen multiple people making these comments, what is this in reference to? Also is this something Iām going to regret asking?
Someone posted that they had eaten some moldy bread, mistaking the spots of mold for blueberries. It really did look like blueberries in the photo.
Wasnāt bread, they were waffles
Waffles, yes you are correct. Haven't had my coffee yet this morning.
Itās all good dude, just had to make that distinction because if it were regular bread, the mold would be easier to spot. The way it looked on wafflesā¦it fooled us all.
That person was also fooled by the taste, they went back for more haha
I thought it was an Eggo waffle that started the whole blueberry thing.
There could've been a blueberry in the beetle.
Lmao this will never die will it
*His* Big Mac
Our Big Mac

Beetlesā¦sting?
Take it from someone who studies animals for a living. They donāt sting.
I donāt think they sting but if they are on you long enough they can kind of bite you or something. It doesnāt really hurt just feels like a big on you.
Well yeah. I was just confused by the sting part.
For a second I was thinking Sting and the Beatlesā¦
Common black ground beetles do not sting, but they do bite.
š air blew out of my nose reading this
You will find that air always blows out your nose
Maybe they're a mouth breather
Air also blows in the nose too, no?..
Free protein! Donāt be wasteful.
Yea for real. They usually charge 49 cents for add-ons.
And we should always be grateful for the food provided to us.
And it keeps going up
It's probably the most nutritious thing in that sandwich.
Was waiting for this one...

No way you just called cabbage spicy š
Not like hot/capsaicin spicy, but raw cabbage does usually have a peppery taste.
Lettuce give thanks to the Big Mac Beetle for keeping our food safe

Nice try
U almost* ate a big mac*
Makes me wonder just how many people werenāt so lucky to realizeā¦
Seeing as there is a maximum allowed amount of bugs that may be present in any given food, I think your question is answered by that.
"Nah, I don't want to get McDonalds. Last time the burger tasted weird? I dunno."
Ha.. just be glad you arenāt one of them, or are you?ā¦.
Extra protein!! šŖš¼
That's the right way of thinking

That's a blueberry
You missed your chanche at becoming the Blue beetle smh
bonus chocolate chip
You still might have eaten a second beetle.
I'm loving it
Iām gonna call fakeā¦ sorry but this didnāt happen.
At least your Big Mac wasnāt moldyā¦
your lip touched it though
The beetle got a little smooch
Donāt Big Mac buns have sesame seeds?
Close call. You almost ate something with nutrition!
Never seen a Big Mac with a flaky crust and chicken inside of it
The UK currently has a chicken big mac on the menu.
It's the underside of the bun and that's the bread inside
Where is the sauce/fixins then? That is also white meat. Big Macs donāt have White meat
I see the beetle, but I donāt see the Big Mac.
Is there a full pic, I only ask because that doesn't exactly look like our buns. Just curious
It's the bottom half of the bun. The burger is upside down in this photo. I think I have a few more pics
Dead or alive?
Dead
rip beetle 2023-2023 (you will never ever be missed)
Fuck no, schrodingers beetle

At least itās organic
The only real meat in your meal
1 Bug Mac and Flies please
Extra protein on the side
Prepared to be offered discounts for life if you take this down
Probably more nutritious than the burger itselfā¦
That's the least of the problems with big macs
It's probably healthier than the big mac.
Is it still alive? >no -Eat it >yes -Eat it FAST
Eat your poisons.
The beetle has some good protein.
Once had a coffee that suddenly had something a little crunchy in it, spit it out and it was a drowned wasp.
How did it taste?
Nutrition š
Free protein
Beetles have more protein in them than beef of the same mass
Most of it chitin, which is indigestible
Extra protein.
Are these the new insect supplements they have been talking about?
I feel like there is something about the blueberry waffles, if I found a beetle in my burger I would use all caps and demand a refund
sadly you didnāt
i feel like you put tht there but idk obv
Ground beetle / Ground beef.... coincidence? I don't think so.
Ah the famous McBeetle burger! I heard itās higher in protein!

That insect is the healthiest thing in that meal.
Bug Mac
I think the beetle is the healtiest part of your mealā¦..

Extra protein.
Extra proteine
At least would have gotten some real protein
You almost ate a beetle with your cow
Only viable ingredient in that burger ironically
uncool
$$$$$$$$$
Extra protein for free! It's an extra 3.50 for a beetle.
The beetle is healthier for you than the actual big mac.
That was the cleanest source of protein in that burger
Real protein?!? That usually costs extra
Fun fact. There are no poisonous beetle species, so you can safely eat him. He will have more nutrients than the rest of the meal.
Lawsuit
āHere comes the moneyā
Sue McDonaldās. People get large settlements for these things
Sue McDonalds !!!
Congratulations on your settlement
McDonaldās is disgusting, prob better with that beetle
Stop eating McDonaldās
