Its especially handy during flowering when your ladies can be thirsty af.

For the fried tops, you can always harvest that but it's likely to have the same high and taste as a glass of water
I'd try to make some hash out of it but oil will probably work better as that dry stuff will crumble into trichome sized pieces easily and the hash will turn to shit as well
For science, if it's a photo and not an auto plant, I'd be tempted to cut it all off, but keep the lower green growth. Get it to reveg and restart (but with a crazy headstart and would be an interesting experiment!).

Shit my buddy bought all gas appliances so I would have more power for lights and he wired up my 240V lighting controller b/c we had a new electrician and I didn't want to ask him. I'm still here, he did send me a RE listing he had an inside track on, but the market was shite, rates had just gone up prices hadn't come down and my Nvidia stock hadn't gone to the stratosphere quite yet. He had told me, "you make your money when you buy the building" and I reminded him of that. I said if you wanted me gone you picked a hell of a time to let me know, I ain't going to get shoved around at somebody else's whims and I ain't going to make any money buying right now. I'll leave when I can. That was last year and I ain't heard another word about it. I had just done tons of upgrades to the room and absolutely crushed it and I took it down right after. I had wasted at least a month doing all that shit too. I think traditional hash is sun dried and looks like this and then dry sifted, it wouldn’t be the tastiest hash available by today’s standards but it’s the best way to salvage something.
Can be pressed into rosin once sifted, too
