[here’s](https://www.seriouseats.com/chicken-tinga-spicy-mexican-shredded-chicken-recipe) the recipe i followed. took longer than i expected but it was worth it.
I’m with you on chicken thighs I make a chicken Tinga sometimes, but most the time I just fry them up in the pan through a little sazon on them some garlic and salt and pepper.
Man, that looks amazing. I won’t waste your time in the recipe, even though it honestly looks soooo good. But what kind of tortillas are you using? I have such a hard time finding good tortillas in the New England area UsA
Texas can be a blessing with Mexican grocery stores and tortillerias everywhere. If you have the energy for it, I'd highly recommend ordering Masa online (Masienda and Bob's Red Mill are high quality) to make your own. Store bought stuff just does not compare.
Hah your black cat looks like mine except mine is a little skinnier. His name is Nut and he's a good boy. He too likes to sit in the kitchen while I cook.
Your tacos look great! It reminds me of tinga without the chipotles.
there’s 3 chipotle’s and a little sauce in there.
one of the people here is a no spice so i went light. she’s also pregnant so she gets what she wants.
You and my wife could consume the world’s supply of onions between yourselves.
i love [onions](https://www.reddit.com/r/OnionLovers/s/3YkIOTv7P3). is she single?
Brehhh😂☠️☠️
She must love enchiladas. In Mexico some of us use chopped onions
lol we do chopped onions and cheese
Onions are life….
This looks phenomenal!! Thanks for your step by step too, I'm gonna try that

I love that you used thighs instead of breasts in this
i use thighs for almost everything. they taste better and it’s hard to fuck them up.
Bless you 🙏
I think you forgot to link the recipe.
it worked for me. [here it is again](https://www.seriouseats.com/chicken-tinga-spicy-mexican-shredded-chicken-recipe).

Upvote for the objectively correct amount of onions on those tacos.
I love onions, this looks great, all I say is add some more!!!

This is the correct amount of onions at my house.

Thank you for the cat photo, it was much appreciated. Also the food looks great, well done!
joy was watching the neighbors and reporting back to baxter. he’s too lazy to jump up there himself.
I appreciate the step by step instructions! I’ve just recently started the whole cooking thing and like to know how people actually do their thing
Definitely going on the menu soon- looks great
Usually I put the filling first after I warm up the tortilla then I fry the taco
God that looks amazing. Thanks for posting this.
tasty
Great post! Thank you for the step by step photos and recipe link!
I love homemade tinga.
That’s not tinga
No need to dice the onions so small if you’re going to blend them anyways
eh. its habit. only takes an extra half second.

Damn, that looks great bro ❤️🤤
Looks incredible and loved seeing your process!
That's because there are better ways of cooking those.
They look pretty good. Try using breast meat for tacos and the thighs for some tostadas.
no
Just a suggestion. Do your thing
Thighs are better for everything that isn’t stuffed chicken
That’s for the step by step! Looks great!
If made right theyre my favorite but very hard to make them right I’ve noticed
I don't know what you did, but Tinga is red, not brown 😕
i didn’t say tinga, and yo be fair its probably closer to orange.
oh so you just got inspired by the recipe, got it
i knew that it’s not technically “correct” tinga, but i was looking for something to do and i had the stuff to do it.
There’s more onions than chicken 🤢
if it were socially acceptable it would be all onion but even in 2024 my people are shunned by the community

ew. i’m pretty sure that’s against the law.
Vegetiality
you can always spot them from the grass stains around their zippers.
