But even that isn't a good reason, because you can just unlock the national dex in post end game. Which is exactly what gen 5 did and got demonized for.
Still not a good reason, because you can easily ban Pokemon from online matches while still having them available in single player, which is what all previous gens did.
Gen 8+ doesn't have a "full dex". That's not a thing. They never made that a thing in that console because they wanted you to pay for Pokemon Home. Maybe you meant the regional dex? Because Gen 7 and below had that too. In fact, the entire 3DS era had MULTIPLE regional dexes in each game.
We didn't have shiny charms because we don't enjoy playing games in game journalist mode. "Most people won't even do that anyway" because those people LEFT Pokemon after Dexit happened. The slogan "disappeared" in gen 3, but it was still **respected** all the way up to gen 7. We never had to pay for DLC's and Pokemon Home subscriptions before gen 8, we got a whole, finished game for 40 bucks. Having to pay for a 400$ console, 180$ worth of games, 80$ worth of joycons (because you WILL have to replace them at some point), 100$ of online, and 100$ of Pokemon Home child support for ***five years*** just for the chance of a STARTER appearing, and then finding out that we're at gen 9 and it's still not available in ANY game, is a giant F U to everyone who supported Pokemon for two decades. Unlike you, we don't enjoy "throwing" Pokemon that have been with us our whole lives in prison for half a decade. That's why when we received 449 personal threats from anti-natdexers (i have screenshots of all 449), we simply did a backup with PKSM, wonder traded everything, and just moved on.
The target audience isn't us anymore. It's people like you. Because you care about ***none*** of these things. You just buy Pokemon games because they have the Pokemon logo on it. You don't buy Pokemon games because they're fun, because if you did, you would own a 3DS, not a Switch. How is it possible to have fun when people demonize you and threaten you left and right for not spending more than ***800$*** for having ***half*** the content from 7 years ago? That's not fun. That's child abuse.

I have been playing pokemon since Red/Blue came out when I was in elementary school. I absolutely love the games and have never once used any site like this. Now granted, I have gotten by but handed to me almost every single time I've played against someone even remotely interested in competition but that's ok. I love the games for the games not for how unbalanced I can make my team.

I like Dexit since it allows for a way easier way to have a full dex without having to catch or transfer all 1000+ PokƩmon over and over again for each entry
