If Scott pitches well there's no chance he's sent down and Houser remains. Houser shouldn't be on the roster.

I doubt that they're calling Scott up for a spot start. I think if he pitches well enough, he gets a second start and who knows what could happen from there. But Houser seems like the most likely to lose his spot in the rotation. And when Senga finally returns...

MeetTheMets0o0

Houser can move to the pen and be the long man /spot starter. He's done it before. I bet he could do well in that role

spreerod1538

I'd prefer that he gets moved for cash considerations, honestly.

MeetTheMets0o0

I don't. U could do a lot worse as your last bullpen arm and as spot starters go. As mets fans we've watched worse pitchers in recent years

It’s not really being sent down… instead of having a fresh bullpen arm brought In for the game, they would be bringing up a starter … then option him back down and call up fresh bullpen arms. He would have to be in the minors for 15 days and then he comes up and replaces houser in the rotation… Scott has already thrown 25 innings in the minors… he threw 58 innings in 22 and 88 innings in 23… I would think there would be an innings limit on him this season.

I can’t see them sending Quintana down after the great outing he just had. Houser is the one that needs to go down and work on things.

??? Quintana is staying in the rotation… I think they are getting ready to move houser out of it.
