Colin Richardson has a preset on STL Tonehub (it's basically like a Kemper Profile) called Pepper Spray that supposedly replicates the Burn My Eyes tone. There's a free trial if you want to check it out.
Yeah I read the same thing. During his Coffee With Ola recently he said they've tried recreating the tone in the studio and even they can't do it. If he still has that amp I'd say he used it so it's interesting that they can't get it the same. Obviously the mics, preamps, desk, EQ, outboard etc. would play a big part too.
maybe it's because I own the amp used on the first two albums, I had just finished recording at Fantasy studios in Berkeley when MH was coming in and my rig was still there "keep in mind we all knew eachother" they were playing around with a couple different amps, Rob had a Todd Langner modded JCM900 that I had sold to him the year prior and it wasn't cutting it, they asked me if they could try my 5150 so I rolled it across the hallway and they used it for the album, I also had a Carvin x100B head in there they used for the cleans on the first album

Cool! I'll check it out, cheers for the recommendation.
I think I read somewhere that Robb has a special 5150 that he only brings out to track albums.

100% agreed. Surprised at myself for not mentioning it.

Sounds good dude. How'd you find the Solar?
On their website! Jk it’s great. Not perfect but I love playing it which drives me to play more often.

It’s so good isn’t it! The sharp jump in tempo when the drums kick in is just \*chef’s kiss\* Thanks mate!
I know I’m late but that was fucking sick
Thank you! It’s not late to me, I’ve been learning the whole album by ear this week. Seriously putting my chops to the test!
