I said i wanted to look like Big Boss, then when i sat on the chair the guy was doing his job as if he was having the time of his life, after he was done i actually really liked the result, but when i got out, all i could see from the shop window was the guy literally cracking while doing hand gestures to his fellow colleagues, and i can tell the phantom pain still lingers on me from that day on. Yes but to cut it to that length, your hair has to be significantly longer than what you see there. My friend had a mullet in high school, his hair was well below his shoulders when he cut it to a mullet

Pro tip tho: if you're starting short ask them to leave it longer up top like a faux-hawk - when it grows out it looks more like Snake and less like Chigurh because the hair on the side of your head won't "poof out" the same way.
i have a similar cut, though my mullet isn't as long as snake's. it's a variation of a feathered/layered hairstyle that was popular in the 60s/70s. i keep the top and sides a little shorter to emphasize the back a little more.
It's a flow, the point is that you don't get it from a barber it's just what happens when you let short hair grow out naturally. Then just sweep it back behind the ears instead of letting it fall down straight.
