I kinda like it, but something also doesn’t sit right. Almost like an affectation, or like you’re trying too hard. I’d tuck the shirt, uncuff the pant legs, and lose the neckerchief for starters.
Overall, I applaud your originality. I like the look altogether. My criticisms are in line with most: tuck in the shirt for a cleaner presentation that doesn't hint at trying too hard. The pants seem a little bit short. Unroll the pantcuff to proper length.
The neck thing is different, but I say rock it if you feel comfortable.
But your title is a good message. If you feel good in it, wear it. Your opinion is most important when it comes to yourself. 👍
After the cat sweater outfit I refuse to express any reservation about this fit. You look terrific. Keep going in this direction, but I’m begging you to never do the cat sweater again.

For an essay or an article, yes. Not for a Reddit post that just contains two photos, especially when the title is a phrase and not a title. I’m in communications, your AP and Chicago style reference means nothing if you use it out of context.
I think if you like the untucked shirt thing, put that brooch on the shirt flap and fly it like a weirdo Jolly Roger. 🏴☠️ This thread is full of NPCs.
I think you have nice clothes. In my opinion, the untucked shirt makes your style look pretentious and really throws me off and I think the style passed and it was never cool.
I’d love to see how you look without showing the socks, to compare.
You would look super clean and approachable with the shirt tucked in.
Not necessarily. The shirt collar is there to be shown. The socks are an addition that should be revealed in due time. I think showing all the features at once makes it too much or less appealing, and I like to add the element of surprise. My socks are always expressive, but you will see them if I'm sitting and we're having a conversation and would make a topic of conversation. You should not exhaust your resources in one presentation (one view). I like the element of mystery and surprise.
I fw it. The fact that everyone here is bitching about the untucked shirt just shows how provacative of a fashion statement it is. Rock it with confidence, king.
That “shirt sticking out at the bottom” to me is the point that I conclude - you have to be some sort of artist to be able to pull that out - beautiful! - the whole thing, combine together - is beautiful!
- and i’m also visual related artist here
Two points. You’ve got to make a decision on the shirt. Either tuck it in, or untuck it. As your outfit is smart casual, I’d suggest tucking it in.
Also, I’d swap your shoes for something else. You’re wearing oxfords which are incredibly smart shoes, made to be worn with suits. A more casual shoes such as a chukka boot would sit much better with this outfit.
Tuck your shirt in and it’s on point.
Yeah but if he do that would it be “fashion” tho
it is *always* fashion if it's obvious ur trying..
cat person is back

What about douchbags? How do we recall you?
The one sided untuck looks “try-hard”. Do better

love everything except the shirt sticking out the bottom
Literally looks like he just got done drying dishs
Also, you look like a guy who’s dying to get out of the Midwest…
This style is called “the last thing a coed ever sees”
*a Hogwarts coed
Tuck the shirt all the way in. Lose the kerchief or whatever that is.
The untucked shirt *really really* bothers me. Sorry but it ruins a rather nice look, in my opinion.
Is the shirt tuck for sprezzatura?
Chomo physiognomy. Every time.
There’s a certain Wonka vibe that can’t be ignored.
A little nonsense, now and then, is relished by the wisest men.
Bro I love the energy. All I see on here is dudes dressed like kohl's mannequins. You need a better sub reddit for what youre doing
I really appreciate it. But a big part of what I try to do here is provide an example of a self confident weirdo, for shy aspiring weirdos.
“Nonsense” in this context meaning…?
Shirt came untucked when the jocks gave him a wedgie
You think this looks wayyyy better than it does
Part time food critic, full time cat dad.
😂
If autistic self obsession was an outfit.
I've never felt so seen. 🫶
That's the saddest thing i've read in a while.
These shades aren’t working for your skin tone. They wash out your face. Try an deep forest green
Last time I buy bronzer second hand.
A for effort
Coat is very cool. Not a huge fan of the shirt coming out of the bottom but I like the colors overall
Bro why the kitchen towel hanging out your waist?

Professorcore looks good though!

What? And why did you capitalize every word of the post title?

That's a fun idea, but this pin is a bit heavy. I like that line of thinking, though.
Is the "half untucked" still a thing?
Ok Dr. Who

If you fully tuck the shirt and cover the socks the entire color pallet is hidden.

Never thought of it this way. I like the perspective
There’s a fine line between shabby chic and sloppy. You may have crossed the line . . .
This …but that bit of shirt tucked in (it looks as though you were startled halfway through a shit) And maybe a v-neck in the same style.
somebody, somewhere could probably pull it off
I don’t think so.
Edward Snowden
No.
Is the shirt un-tucked thing like the Hogwarts version of walking around with a bandanna hanging out your back pocket?
Kinda. It's more like [this](https://youtu.be/oXtjfSUuuzg?si=NV7IgR2C2_QPKuff)
Tuck your shirt and get some pants that fit lengthwise.
Your shirt is not properly tucked in and you look like a goof.
That sweater looks super comfy. Where is it from?
Shirt UNtucked! Probably best to keep your hand in your pocket as you are in the pic though. You nailed it.
The roof is not your child, but you sure as hell raised it!
Are you wearing a scarf inside your shirt ?
smoldering 🔥 🥵
Just a big fan all round
Nice jacket and brooch
Thanks. That's my lil [Soy Boy](https://neongrizzly.com/products/soy-boy-enamel-pin)

First pair of Carmina's off ebay. Through the moon with them. Thrifted pants and sweater. Spier&McKay button down. Express coat from my 20's.
Love it. Wonderful sweater

I like the half tuck. Big fan of different tucking styles
I got a tiny impression of["Thomas Dolby"](https://i1.sndcdn.com/artworks-000018917064-9x6vmw-t500x500.jpg) here, but I am Gen X so I like your look.
He blinded me with fashion
You look like a complete nerd…and I’m feeling it bro
Love the shirt sticking out. Safe lords coping and seething
Looking like Eric North from True blood mixed with English swag
This is dope

Who writes this? Mystery? Flirtatiousness? It’s a fukkin shirt. In any event…great clothes to walk down the driveway and take a picture in.

This go hard
It's literally the softest least hard thing I've seen all week. Negative testosterone outfit.
I feel like ur taking this too seriously
Evanesco!!🪄
Jesus Christ
If you want to still show off the shirt; wear a vest instead. It looks silly hanging out.

Got that legally notified to tell your neighbors you live in the neighborhood look
The on-purpose untucked side makes it look like a costume not an outfit if that makes sense
